Footballers in Nepal organised a protest last week after the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) announced it would not hold the ‘A’ Division League this year too. They took to social media with a video asking the soccer governing body, "When will the ‘A’ Division League take place?" and also hung their medals outside ANFA headquarters. To address the situation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports held talks between the two sides on Tuesday, 11 November, which resulted in ANFA reportedly agreeing to organise the league within 120 days. Our Nepal correspondent Pratichya Dulal spoke with Bishal Shrestha, treasurer of the Nepal Football Player Association about their demands, and ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah, who confirmed the association is preparing to conduct the league within the next four months. - अखिल नेपाल फुटबल सङ्घ (एन्फा)ले यो वर्ष पनि 'ए' डिभिजन लिग नगर्ने भनेपछि नेपाली फुटबल खेलाडीहरू अगिल्लो साता त्यसको विरोधमा उत्रिएका थिए। विरोध स्वरूप उनीहरूले “ए डिभिजन लिग कहिले?” भन्दै भिडियो बनाएको र आफूहरूले जितेका मेडलहरू एन्फा मुख्यालयको गेटमा लगेर टाँगिदिएका तस्बिरहरू सार्वजनिक भएका हुन्। उक्त विवाद मिलाउन युवा तथा खेलकुद मन्त्रालयले दुवै पक्षबिच मङ्गलवार, ११ नोभेम्बरमा वार्ता गरेपछि त्यसको १२० दिन भित्र 'ए' डिभिजन लिग गर्न एन्फा सहमत भएको बताइएको छ। तर लिग सुरु नहुँदासम्म भने खबरदारी गरी नै राख्न पर्ने खेलाडीहरूको भनाई छ। फुटबल खेलाडीहरूले किन राखे त 'ए' डिभिजन लिगकै माग भन्ने बारे नेपाल संवाददाता प्रतिक्षा दुलाले फुटबल खेलाडी सङ्घका कोषाध्यक्ष विशाल श्रेष्ठसँग कुराकानी गर्नुभएको छ। यसै बारे एन्फाको तर्फबाट जानकारी लिने क्रममा एन्फाका प्रवक्ता सुरेश शाहले आगामी चार महिना भित्र लिग गर्न सङ्घ तयार रहेको दुलालसँगको कुराकानीमा बताएका छन्।
