Two Competing Visions of Greatness
- Prideful ambition corrupts true greatness. (vv. 35–39)
- It is driven by selfish desire. (vv. 35–37)
- It is displayed in spiritual presumption. (vv. 38–39)
- It is divisive in the body. (v. 41)
- Christlike humility captures true greatness. (vv. 40–45)
- It is content with God’s assignment. (v. 40)
- It is committed to serving others. (vv. 42–44)
- It is compelled by Christ’s sacrifice. (v. 45)
