I know the saying is, βCold Hands, Warm Heartβ, but I still donβt love it when my hands are cold, which they always seem to be. Keep cozy with these, whether youβre curled up at home or out around the village on a winterβs morn. π

HERE'S A BOOK I recommend: The title and cover of this book are a bit off the mark for me, but itβs whatβs inside that counts, right? I have read lots of books on mindfulness and meditation. I think this one is a good path to follow for a lot of people. Or at least a good place to start (again?). Iβve read other books and say, "Yeah, Iβm not doing this. It feels weird.β Or their method seems like too much to take on.
Emily Fletcher's technique was one of the first ones that worked for me. You donβt need much patience.
People who meditate arenβt magical. We all have endless thoughts in our heads. Itβs a matter of finding the right way for yourself. And, you will never get rid of all of the thoughts, but youβll learn to focus your mind on calmer things for little bits at a time. Maybe a better title for this book would have been βMeditation for Mainstream Folksβ, because itβs a good fit for those who have ever said, βOh, I canβt meditate. My mind is always racing.β
