Texas Offense vs. Florida Defense: Florida’s defense bends but doesn’t break. They don’t create many negative plays (just 3 sacks all year, bottom 10 nationally), which gives Arch Manning and the run game a chance to find rhythm. But Florida is stingy in the red zone and on third downs, so Sark has to be ready with creativity, discipline, and—most importantly—take the points when they’re there. Texas Defense vs. Florida Offense: This is where the Longhorns have the clear edge. Florida QB DJ Lagway has gone from deep-ball magician last season to a turnover machine this year—even struggling out of a clean pocket. Add in an O-line that isn’t opening big holes and a star RB carrying too much of the load, and Texas’ defense is licking its chops. Still, five-star freshman WR Dallas Wilson makes his debut, and he’s a legit big-play threat. Special Teams Spotlight: Texas has the edge with kicker Mason Shipley (perfect so far), but Florida brings dangerous return men and a strong punter. Coverage units will be tested, especially on a wet field. Hidden yards could decide this one. Keys to the Game: Win early downs to avoid ugly third-and-longs. Stay disciplined—Texas leads the SEC in penalties, while Florida commits the fewest. Protect the ball in sloppy weather. A defensive score could swing the outcome. Sark needs to dig deep into his bag for “bangers” on critical downs. The crew closed it out by agreeing on the bottom line: Texas doesn’t need style points in the SEC.
