🟣 Saturday Mornings : Changing Mindsets, Changing Lives: SAGE 2025 Tackles Gender Norms and Family Healing
Description
As Singapore prepares to host the Summit for Action on Gender Equality (SAGE) 2025, “Saturday Mornings Show” host Glenn van Zutphen and co-host Neil Humphreys talk with Ms Koh Yan Ping, CEO of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO), and Mr Ben Ang, Centre Director at Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities. Under the theme “Changing Mindsets in a Changing World,” the forum on 29 September brings together leaders, advocates, and everyday citizens to challenge entrenched gender norms and spark meaningful change.
Yan Ping shares SCWO’s vision for empowering women across work, home, and leadership, while Ben discusses male allyship and the importance of healing work in families. From toxic masculinity to caregiving burdens, the conversation dives into how both men and women can reshape societal expectations and build healthier relationships.
Ben will speak at two sessions: Man Enough to Change and Holistic Intervention for Families Facing Domestic Violence, offering restorative approaches to break cycles of harm.
