Imagine having the life that every strives to have - you’re doing well financially, you just moved into a beautiful house in a peaceful town France with your wife and son - and then one day a tree hits you, you’re paralyzed from the neck down and the doctors tell you you’re never going to walk again? On TOP of that, multiple surgeries follow, your wife leaves you and takes away your son and you’re in horrific agony for years… Today’s guest has experienced exactly that and didn’t just survive, but is now walking again and traveling the world despite the doctors telling him he’ll never walk again. How did he do it? What kept him going? What’s his perspective on life now? Find out in this episode! Do you set a bunch of ambitious goals at the beginning of the year but find yourself losing motivation and slacking off after a few weeks? Same here. That’s why I’ve refined my goal-setting process to something that’s so simple yet so impactful that has allowed me to achieve what seemed like audaciously huge goals at the time - scaling my business from 0-7 figures in 12 months or exiting a business that was described as unsellable. Sounds cool? Listen in!
Feeling stuck, things aren’t improving? Whether it’s your skills, the level of your current success, your relationship, your finances or your health... Often times, we hit a plateau and just can’t seem to improve doing the same things we’ve done before. Then it’s usually time to approach things from a different paradigm. But in order to do that, we have to be willing to get worse first, in order to improve. Without the willingness to do so, we’ll keep stagnating. Leave some feedback!
In this episode I talk about quitting the constant consumption of podcasts, blogs, YouTube videos and other social feeds, including books! Why? Because you already know the most crucial things. It’s enough. Focus that time and mental bandwidth on the things that matter most right now.
In this episode I talk about how to never struggle with willpower, discipline or self-control ever again by setting up systems that make it easy to stick to a good habits and remove the bad ones.
Mike Michalowicz, the author of Profit First, The Pumpkin Plan, The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur & Fix This next, had founded and sold two multimillion-dollar companies. Knowing that now, he could do anything, he became an angel investor (the type who buys a Range Rover, BMW & Dodge Viper on the same day!). Only to realize that after 2 years he had lost all of his money and maybe… he didn’t know THAT much about business after all. After another 2 years of depression, self-hatred and doubt he rebuilt himself as well as his business skills by taking complex & boring but crucial topics for the survival & thriving of businesses and made them not only simple and practical, but also entertaining. I personally recommend his books without hesitation to friends and will encourage anyone to pick up a copy. Here we discuss: The importance of knowing your numbers, profiting first and making business simple How he lost all his money after selling two multimillion-dollar businesses, how he rebuilt himself and what role journaling played in that Getting too confident with your first successes, only to be humbled later on How to prepare to sell your business for its maximum value How to figure out what to focus on next by knowing what the most important thing for your business is right now Hope you enjoy this episode with Mike Motorbike! In this episode, we’re looking at how this entrepreneur has built a thriving brand selling socks and underwear. Yes, you read that right. Today’s guest is Johannes Kliesch who is one of the co-founders of Snocks and here we discuss: Loneliness as an entrepreneur and how to overcome it The importance of a co-founder and value of employees Building a team that is like a family Prioritizing FUN over profit after meeting your basic cash flow need The importance of a co-founder Transitioning from pain & chasing security to passion, fun & enjoyment Without further ado, let’s dive right into it! ________________________________________________________ ▶▶Connect with Johannes Kliesch: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/johannes.snocks/ Snocks.com ▶▶ Connect with us on social: Instagram: @leonjhendrix or https://www.instagram.com/leonjhendrix/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2lU-g879YdXVCuPK6MGk6w?sub_confirmation=1
In this episode, me and my buddy Campbell Watson talk about - How to journal effectively - Our experience with break ups and getting through them - How we hire and delegate effectively (Campbell built a funnel to get the best VAs out there!) Campbell is one of the guys who joins our mastermind calls every week to talk about current challenges in business, life and beyond. Hope you’re enjoying this one! What happens when two guys who have built a 7-figure business in their early twenties sit together and brainstorm how to overcome their current challenges? Today’s guest is once again, Louis Kanteh, who is one of my favorite people to talk to when it comes to business, personal development and silly shenanigans.  He’s one of the members in our weekly mastermind calls (which you can apply to join as well), built a 7-figure business and moved his business and himself to Cyprus when he was 19 years old.  In this episode, I sat down with him while I visited him in Cyprus and we brainstormed on different topics such as: - Realizing who you actually are, not who you wish you were (“do you really want it, or do you want to want it?”)- - Our dream of building a team that is like a family and community - What’s your personality and how does it fit into a team - Finding a co-founder who’s strengths are your weaknesses - How your self-image affects all your actions and the importance of self-reflection to become aware of it - The lies of the personal development industry that you can “be whoever you want” - The importance of enjoying what you do - Starting a business that is not a proven model you can copy from a course, but going into uncharted territory - Our prediction that mental health & loneliness will be the biggest issues coming up in society, as kids are growing up getting hooked on the fake world of social media Do you enjoy more casual conversations like these? Do you want to build an audience of raving fans for your business, a following for your personal brand to network with more influential people or maybe there’s a side project you want to start? Today’s guest is Max Hertan who has done exactly that. While running his 7-figure agency Megaphone Marketing with a team of a dozen people seems time-consuming enough, he decided to start a YouTube channel about two years ago, doing monthly challenges of learning a new skill and documenting the entire journey. In only two years, it grew to about 100k subscribers. Here we discussed different topics such as: - How he managed his time to do both and the importance of delegation - How to get mentors that skyrocket your results in any field - Sticking to something even when there are no results at first - Growing to 100k subscribers on YouTube through consistently great content ▶️▶️▶️ Check out Max on Instagram (@maxhertan) or on YouTube (https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCqBDp0AeZwe_IIU2qbCqI4w) ________________________________________________________ ▶▶ Send me a question via voice message and appear on the podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition/message ▶▶ Connect with us on social: Instagram: @leonjhendrix or https://www.instagram.com/leonjhendrix/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2lU-g879YdXVCuPK6MGk6w?sub_confirmation=1 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition
We live in a more and more artificial world that is not designed to optimize our health & wellbeing. When I started digging into optimizing my sleep because I was constantly tired and not sleeping well, I heard about today’s guest, Matt Maruca, who absolutely blew my mind about so many different things I was doing wrong. A few weeks later, he’s on the show with me here to discuss some very controversial topics, such as: Why the amount of sun you get is more important than the quality of your diet How to optimize your health & performance by nurturing your mitochondria which is the engine of your body The light diet broken down for optimal hormone function and energy How to protect yourself from technology that is absolutely wrecking your health Without further ado, let’s dive right into it! If you’re struggling with staying consistent, executing on your commitments and procrastinating on the important things then this episode will be the solution to all of these problems. We live in a bubble, my friends. A bubble of entrepreneurs that is almost like a dogma, leaving us with many misconceptions about when we should wake up, how we should work and when we should be expecting results. The antidote to this poison is someone like Kilian Markert. Here we discuss: The three simple fundamentals that will make or break your productive output on a daily basis How to get bulletproof consistency going by doing less, not more Practicing patience by enjoying what you do The compounding effect of little steps taken over a long period of time Without further ado, let’s dive right into it! ________________________________________________________ ▶▶ Check out Kilian Markiert’s stuff: https://www.facebook.com/kilianmarkert ; http://www.kilianmarkert.com ▶▶ Connect with us on social: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/collectiveambition YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2lU-g879YdXVCuPK6MGk6w?sub_confirmation=1 Instagram: @wearecollectiveambition or https://www.instagram.com/wearecollectiveambition/ Podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition ▶▶ Apply To Join The Collective Ambition Peer Group: https://www.wearecollectiveambition.com/apply
Seriously... Get over your petty little egoic motivations and spend more time being inspired by all the great things that will happen rather than meeting your pathetic needs for significance. I’ll only hurt you long-term. Little rant. While everybody talks about how to start & grow a business, there’s a whole different industry out there - the business of buying businesses and completely skipping the grind part. Building a business is the best way to get rich, but to get really really rich, buying businesses is a much more predictable game. But don’t you need a lot of money for that? Not necessarily… Today’s guest is my buddy Adam Tucker who is an Australian investor, adviser and strategist for the companies he buys & supports, as well as a passionate surfer, traveler and overall good dude. He only buys and invests in companies he believes, with people he wants to be surrounded with and builds is ecosystem around that Here we discuss: Why buying companies is one of the sexiest things to create wealth and an amazing lifestyle How to make the best deals by caring about the people you’re making the deal with and giving them what they want How to double your business overnight by buying your competitor Balancing work with things you truly enjoy Without further ado, let’s dive right into it! Most people think once they make $X amount of money they won’t have to worry anymore… yet they end up worrying more than before. Whether that is stress around maintaining the lifestyle they’ve built or losing it all. I’ve wasted a ton of my money from my first business exit and I’ve had to sit down and get honest with myself - how much money do I actually need to live the lifestyle that allows me to be fully happy? This one exercise will help you stop stressing about money so much because it’ll put things in perspective. Let me know if this was helpful! ________________________________________________________ ▶▶ Send me a question via voice message and appear on the podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition/message ▶▶ Connect with us on social: Instagram: @leonjhendrix or https://www.instagram.com/leonjhendrix/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2lU-g879YdXVCuPK6MGk6w?sub_confirmation=1 Podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition
In this episode, I talk about the two different areas you need to be passionate about to love your work.  (A) You need to like the topic it's about (health, video games, soccer, real estate) and (B) enjoy the day-to-day activity according to what you love doing (solving problems, interacting with people, consulting, writing etc.).  You might love a topic, but hate the business you're in.  OR, you might love doing an activity, but aren't particularly passionate about the topic your business revolves around.  If you love biohacking, you could start endless businesses: An eCommerce supplements business, a coaching program, a blog, writing a book, creating events for biohackers... but what might matter more than the topic you choose is the medium or vehicle. If you love biohacking but you don't like interacting with people, a coaching program might not be a business you'd be passionate about.
Would you like to connect with the most influential people you can think of - celebrities, CEOs, mentors or influencers in your industry that would skyrocket your business? Steve Sims makes the impossible happen: He used to be a bricklayer from London, moved to Hong Kong to be a bouncer and networked his way into exclusive circles he shouldn’t be in (CEOs, bankers & wealthy people). Now he runs a luxury concierge service called Bluefish and they make the impossible happen for their clients, including: - Getting married in the Vatican by the Pope - Performing on stage with your favorite band - Going into a submarine to visit the titanic - Connecting with business moguls like Elon Musk One of the most underrated assets is relationships. Looking back, it’s always a relationship that skyrockets someone’s growth & makes things possible. That’s why top CEOs ask WHO, not HOW. Examples of people who’s career blew up through the right relationship? - Tony Robbins met Guthy Renker, the infomercial expert who marketed Tony’s infomercials to millions of people - Richard Branson got mentored by Sir Freddie Laker when he started his airline - Brian Lee partners up with celebrities like Jessica alba to build billion dollar companies like the Honest Company Today we’re going to discover how to build genuine relationships with mentors, high-level CEOs, influencers or other people who are currently considered higher status than you.  We also dive into being transparent & how to figure out who you truly are so you actually connect with people on a deep level. Find out more about Steve Sims: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SteveDSims Website: http://stevedsims.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stevedsims or @stevedsims His book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0766215P6 It would mean the absolute WORLD to me if you shared this with someone or left a quick, honest review on iTunes.
“Yes, you! You should also be an entrepreneur! Escape the sheep herd and join the wolf pack!” - said the wolf to the sheep to build his own little sheep farm. So many entrepreneurs (read: wantrepreneurs) think they’re people who are making their own opinion, going their own way and are smarter than those that have a 9-5. But in reality, they’ve just subscribed to another dogma, have been brainwashed by a different system and even worse, now think they’re better than those who aren’t doing what they’re doing. I also touch on the brilliant book by Ayn Rand called The Fountainhead, looking at how the different characters (Howard Roark, Peter Keating etc.) perfectly illustrate a similar dynamic. I can smell insecurity and people pleasing a mile away, including when someone tries to show how “they don’t care what others think” but they’re only saying that because it’s cool to say that and they desperately need your approval. Highly recommend the book. Share it with someone that needs to hear it. ________________________________________________________ ▶▶ Send me a voice message and appear on the podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition/message ▶▶ Connect with us on social: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/collectiveambition YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2lU-g879YdXVCuPK6MGk6w?sub_confirmation=1 Instagram: @wearecollectiveambition or https://www.instagram.com/wearecollectiveambition/ Podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition ▶▶ Apply To Join The Collective Ambition Peer Group: https://www.wearecollectiveambition.com/apply
Do you rely on pain to motivate you? You’re struggling to enjoy life the way it is now and always try to get someplace else? Today’s guest is my buddy Patrick Wagner. We first met when we both started our eCommerce business in 2016 and joined a mastermind where we had weekly mastermind calls.  Both of us ended selling our businesses in 2018 and made a complete shift in what we were doing - and how we decided to live our life. While both of us were initially driven by scarcity, wanting to just make money and become successful, we realized that it wasn’t fulfilling so we’ve taken a completely different path of self-discovery, learning about ourselves and what we really need to build a life that is true to us. Here we discuss: How to stop being driven by pain & truly love what you do so you can achieve more Going on a content diet and do less to achieve more Getting in touch with your intuition Why understanding yourself is so important to optimize your routines and the way you work Without further ado, let’s dive right into it! In one of our weekly calls my buddy wondered what happened to his motivation. He used to be super motivated to get his business off the ground and get freedom. But now that he has it (currently he’s preparing to sell this baby for multiple millions), he’s struggling to get excited about anything in his life. He has to push himself to get to work. Same with his workout routine. He used to be super pumped about it, but his priorities have changed and he’s struggling to stay consistent. Is it time to update the things you’re going for? Maybe instead of going for materialistic things, it’s something simple that would excite you way more? Like this? Share it with someone that needs to hear it! ________________________________________________________ ▶▶ Send me a voice message and appear on the podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition/message ▶▶ Connect with us on social: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/collectiveambition YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2lU-g879YdXVCuPK6MGk6w?sub_confirmation=1 Instagram: @wearecollectiveambition or https://www.instagram.com/wearecollectiveambition/ Podcast: https://anchor.fm/collectiveambition ▶▶ Apply To Join The Collective Ambition Peer Group: https://www.wearecollectiveambition.com/apply
