In this episode, we delve into the reason that both of us are child free by choice. We talk about societal pressures to fulfil a "woman's duty" and how sometimes, people can just be plain rude when you tell them what you've planned for your future. Opening up this conversation is so important because more and more couples are choosing to be child free and with that comes lots of unfair judgements. There are so many ways people can choose to live their lives and this is just one of them... and it's neither the right or wrong way, it's just the path we've both chosen for ourselves. The opinions expressed in this episode are exactly that - just opinions. We hope you enjoyed this episode. If you did you can subscribe, rate and review. In today's episode we talk to our friend, Chris Redman, about his coming out story. Like so many people, Chris was bullied in school. Whether it be because he was friends with girls, he had red hair or he was a little bit on the chubby side, Chris copped it all. He also got called words like faggot and homo on the daily. It was because of this relentless bullying that Chris hid his true identity for over 10 years. Ultimately, this is Chris's coming out story but it's also a story about the perils of bullying, the importance of good friends and the realisation that it gets better. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed recording it. We're BACK for season 2! It's been a long few months between chats but we're back and bigger and badder than ever. In today's episode we jump straight into the deep end - that's right, we're talking about numbing our emotions. It's something most people do habitually, yet it's rarely spoken about. Numbing our feelings can be so much easier than feeling them - feelings are difficult and often scary. They're draining and sometimes leave us feeling raw and vulnerable. In this episode, we open up about the ways we personally numb our feelings - something that we both have in common is binge drinking. We binge drink when we're happy, we binge drink when we're stressed and sad. Hell, sometimes we'll binge drink because it's a weekend and that's what you do on a weekend. Lizzie takes us through her escalating drinking before and then surprisingly after getting married and Sarah opens up about drinking away her work stress and the vicious cycle that comes from it - drink to feel better, feel worse because you're hungover, drink to feel better. Wash, rinse, repeat. If you like what you hear, please help us out by subscribing and then giving us a rating and a review. One of our biggest fears is looking silly. It's often the first thing that goes through our minds when we go to try something new.
