With the new Miles Morales solo game on the horizon, as well as being (somewhat) around the anniversary, we thought it was high-time to finally talk about the blockbuster 2018 video game, MARVEL’S SPIDER-MAN! Tune in as Alec and Brian tell all about this epic superhero adventure, from the story, to the gameplay, and to all the characters in between!
Part of the journey is the end. For Tony, anyway. For Peter, it’s a whole new ball game on his own with sky-high expectations on his shoulders, not to mention the prospect of Elemental monsters and a man with a fishbowl on his head. This film has been probably the most controversial among Spidey fans, so what side of the field does it land on? Tune in and sync up as Alec and Brian reach the end of the movie commentary tracks (for now, anyway) with 2019’s SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME!
Shortly after their first deal with Marvel in 2015, Sony had announced that a theatrical animated Spider-Man film would release in a few years. Safe to say that none of us thought it would become the iconic blockbusting award-winner it turned out to be! Does it still hold up, or was it overhyped? Tune in and sync up as hosts Alec and Brian commentate over the widely acclaimed SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE
After countless years in development hell, and despite Sony’s arrangements with Marvel Studios, Avi Arad finally got his day in the sun as VENOM finally released in theaters in 2018. The film itself has been panned by critics, yet has found an overwhelming amount of support from audiences, grossing around $800 million worldwide. Is the film a diamond in the rough, or were the critics right all along? Tune in and sync up as hosts Alec and Brian look back at 2018’s incredibly controversial, and somewhat hilarious, VENOM!
After the failure of the Amazing Spider-Man films, and the firing of Andrew Garfield, Sony was in shambles. However, things started looking up for them once they signed a deal with Marvel to put the character in the MCU, rebooting him once again. After making a thunderous and widely acclaimed debut in 2016’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, Tom Holland’s iteration of the character has his first solo film released a year after. While the film had widespread critical and audience praise, some fans questioned whether or not it really understood the character. So, tune in and sync up as Brian and Alec revisit the second reboot of the character in 2017’s SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING!
After the very lukewarm reception and mild success of 2012’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, Sony and Marc Webb (well, mostly Sony) wasted no time in kicking the sequel’s production into high gear. The film had all the makings of being the best Spider-Man film yet, but somehow it all came crashing down throughout production. Is it really the worst out of the bunch, or are there some redeeming qualities that save it? Tune in and sync up as Alec and Brian commentate over 2014’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2!
Hot off the heels of canceling Spider-Man 4, Sony decided to reboot the franchise, with an entirely new cast, and a brand new director at the helm. However, did everything really go as swimmingly as they hoped? Tune in and sync up as Alec and Brian commentate over 2012’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN to figure out if any of it holds up!
The PS5 has finally been revealed in all its glory, and boy oh boy did it have an impressive lineup of new titles! However, one in particular shocked everyone and started off the showcase with the biggest bang possible: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Tune in as Alec and Brian talk about the upcoming game and console, along with an important message in the beginning of the episode in regards to what’s going on in the world.
Carrying on from the first film in the Raimi Trilogy, we now come to SPIDER-MAN 2 in our commentary track series! Many fans regard this successor as the best of the Spidey bunch, but how well does it hold up? Tune in and sync up as Alec and Brian commentate over what many consider to be the best superhero film of all time, SPIDER-MAN 2!
