Creativity & Rutaba

Creativity & Rutaba

2021-02-0244:49

“Whatever you’re feeling is on the canvas...” We often confuse creativity for the final product. How did the meal taste? How many people bought the book? How many people showed up for the art exhibition? We forget creativity is an open conversation with ourselves. It can be a world where no one can find us and a space for healing, play and imagination. In this episode we talk to Rutaba, a growing artist from Pakistan, on where creativity comes from, how it can help heal, how to deal with external criticism and self-criticism and how Hells Kitchen rock music influencers her paint strokes! Rutaba has painted across Pakistan and is currently embarking on a new speciality of painting bubbles.
Depression & Jerry

We discuss gut health in conjunction to mental health, negative news reporting and the different types of depression, and what does and doesn’t help someone who is in a very dark place. This episode is great for people wanting to understand and learn about depression. If you are feeling vulnerable and don’t have the right support system around you it may be best to miss this episode. HelplinesThe Samaritans (UK) : 116 123CALM (UK): 0800 58 58 58
Ever ‘pitty pooped on your own party parade?’ Limiting beliefs can paralyse us from chasing dreams and achieving goals. In our personal and business lives when beliefs such as, 'I'm not good enough' or, 'I'm not qualified enough,' trap us in a world of perceived safety and comfort, it can stop us from having creative adventures and very important breakthroughs. Without these we won’t reach that next level...On this episode we talk to NLP & Mindset Coach Lauren Tamayo, who gives us an internal tour around our minds when it comes to Self-limiting beliefs. Listen in as we discuss what these beliefs are and where they come from, self-pity parties, only competing with ourselves and creating new beliefs that push us through the 'glass ceiling.'@laurentamayo https://www.withlaurentamayo.com@quarterlifeamy www.quarterlifecrazy.com

Boundaries & Sophie

If we want to get anywhere good in life, we need those fantastic healthy boundaries! Boundaries respect our needs (and the needs of others), whilst empowering us to make the right decision based upon our set of values, not based upon obligation or people pleasing. Boundaries protect our energy, time and future goals. On this episode we speak to Sophie Dear, founder of the Move & Inspire online wellness community, breaking down what a boundary is, the benefits and how to implement them. Sophie is a boundary setting queen! Do you feel like a big fat failure because (god forbid) you’re nearly 30 and you’ve only achieved maybe 3 items on the invisible checklist of life? (Like becoming a famous YouTube star by sticking a bean up your butthole making a billion bucks?) You’re not the only one... In this episode I have an intimate 1:1 with you about the Quarter Life Crisis...We explore the definition of a QLC, it’s popularity and the 8 stages I’ve cracked so far including ‘The Shit Show’ and ‘Send Help!’ There’s no doubt having a Crisis is confusing, painful and a big slap in the face with a baseball bat... However if you’re ready to trust your gut instinct, listen to that little voice inside your head, do the inner work and find your hidden treasure - a Quarter Life Crisis can help create a new direction, full of wonder, creativity, joy and FREEDOM!!! (Minus Mel Gibsons Braveheart accent...)
How much do we know about our female bodies? (If you’re a man you too have a lot to learn...) We tend to only pay attention to the days we bleed (because we see it!) but actually we live on a cycle that impacts our whole lives throughout the month, from how we experience our bleed, to our sexual pleasure, to our eating habits and even our fitness training...Cycle awareness coach expert Laura Wilkes talks about the 4 phases of our cycle, slippery ‘whosh’ vagina discharge and how to show love and compassion to ourselves, our bodies and to ‘her’ - our period. Laura lost her period due to the pill and embarked on a journey of research and bio-hacking. Now she honours her period by doing absolutely bum-f*ck-nothing on the first day of her bleed! Sounds like a dream? Take note...Laura is funny, delightful and a lot of laughs!
