Women often spend alot of time on their hair to ensure it is perfect, glossy, healthy and just the way they like it.  But what happens if you lose all your hair? How do you face the world with such a public illness that everyone can see? How do you serve in the Military with a condition such as Alopecia. Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that forces the body to reject hair. My guest this week shared her journey of Glowing through this illness .Jazmin joined the Air Force a bit later than the average fresh from high school member.  One of the reasons for her delayed entry was discovering she had Alopecia.  4 years after losing her hair, she decided to live boldly as her true self and pursue her dream of serving our country. With the encouragement and support of loved ones, she did just that! Today she is happy and proud of who she is! With an amazing family, husband and fur baby mini poodle named Bubbles &  two birds Chico & Luna, this young Airman is bold and beautiful. Jazmin's hope is to  inspire women to always love themselves & never give up no matter what life brings their way.Find her on IG at alopecianbeauty_Consider sharing your story with  us.Email:   podcast@thecarybrand.com. Life Coaching isn’t Therapy, it’s simply Personal Development. What better way to get this development than from someone who is certified and has walked a similar mile in your shoes?  Brandi Miles is a world changer – and she wants to bring you along for the ride. A mother of six, love is her superpower. Brandi is a Life Coach for veterans and a believer in the power of playing (which is evident in her signature tie-dye, well, everything). She helps veterans go from camo to rainbow. Brandi’s clients learn how to view life differently and break free from fear that often makes veterans feel stuck after they leave the structured and controlled life they’ve known in the military. She uses her life experiences and education to provide them with support, encouragement, structure and advice. “Cage Fight” is Brandi’s first published work where she tells part of her own story of leaving the military and coming to terms with her own feelings of being stuck. She shared more of her experiences and story as a part of docu-series “Women in Combat” where she also served as the life coach on set. Brandi was then invited back to be the life coach on set for another production – a reality show called “A Little Love”. You can reach Brandi for coaching, public appearances or speaking opportunities in the following ways: Phone 318-880-6871, Email: VeteransUnleashed1@gmail.com or you can follow her at @VeteransUnleashed or @CoachBrandi Miles on social media. She has completed her Associates Degree and is only 8 classes away from finishing her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Lindsey aspires to be a Juvenile probation officer post-military commitment so she can help at risk youth navigate life and shy away from gang violence, drugs, and negative peer-pressureIn 2012, Lindsey became pregnant at the age of 19 by her ex-fiancé and kept it a secret from him for two years. She gave birth to a little girl in a Japanese hospital.  In 2015, she married and had a child but yet found herself in another toxic relationship where infidelity and lying encompassed her relationship. In 2016, shortly after moving to Nevada, she found herself in a dark place post-divorce. She navigated her mental health decline and, in 2017, found herself pregnant with another child. She gave birth to her youngest child alone, who was also born premature. Lindsey shares her story as a single mother of 3 preemies while staying dedicated to her military oath, her friends, and herself. This month we are celebrating Independent Women, and what better way to start off the month than to recognize this active duty beauty, visionary & business owner, LiConstance Hayes.Born from a desire to recognize all 107 Historical Black Colleges and Universities, Ideri Concept celebrates the history of higher education in the black community through stylish, fashionable denim & bomber jackets you’re guaranteed to love. LiConstance is onto something big here, she is one to keep your eyes on for sure!See her bio below: LiConstance Hayes, born and raised in Bessemer, AL. Attended Alabama A&M University (AAMU) from 2005-2007. She joined the United States Air Force in late 2007 and spent 7 years in the logistics field before transitioning into Air Force Acquisition. In 2018, while looking for something to wear to AAMU’s homecoming, she was inspired to create a unique jacket for herself. Impressed with her vision and creativity, her friends too wanted one for themselves and requested she make more. She decided to make more and take it a step further by incorporating her well known love and respect for HBCUs. Her vision is to  highlight each HBCU, and to do so in a fashionable way that every Jacket owner would be proud to wear.  She founded The Ideri Conept, which launched publicly in 2021. Check out her website below to get your own custom jacket & showcase your favorite HBCUhttp://www.idericoncept.com  *Want to share your story or get our insight on any topic that impacts you the military woman, email us at camobeautystories@gmail.com. The views and content shared on this podcast are personal and does not reflect the views of any branch of military service!Headlines: SMSgt Retires in 2016 && Returns as CMSgt 2019How??An accusation & interpretation of the Don’t Ask Don’t tell Policy would lead to her being forced to retire earlier than expected.Countless pleas, reports of mistreatment and a Congressional would not help her maintain her impeccable career or give her the benefit of the doubt. For years she fought for what she knew was right, what she knew she deserved to right a wrong to no avail…But the story doesn't begin or end there.CMSgt Tijuana “TJ” Hannibal, the Highly qualified Executive Manager offering more than 30 years of Project Management, Operations Management, and Consulting experience within various industries to include Military/Federal Law, Education/Instruction, Security Forces, Human Resources, Equal Opportunity, Military Protocol/Compliance, Human Relations, Public Administration, and Emergency Management.Unfortunately her numerous accomplishments are at times over shadowed by her well known Military story.Chief Hannibal’s “high profile” Military experience, includes her release from active duty service in the Air Force under the don’t ask don’t tell policy. The accusations, trauma, shame & lessons learned through this process surely has helped to shape the resilient woman and leader she is today. But there’s always more to someone’s story, and she is willing to share it all! This story has become an urban legend of sorts but you can hear it for yourself here. Listen to this story to hear about her journey, but please be advised that this episode has explicit content. *Want to share your story or get our insight on any topic that impacts you the military woman, email us at camobeautystories@gmail.com.
