With the rise of MMA, lots of people claim that boxing is a dying sport. However, for those of us that have boxed, we know the amount of precision and technique that is required of this very demanding sport. In addition to all the conditioning that is required, footwork is of the utmost importance. It can mean the difference between evading a hook, or getting knocked out.
But with so much time spent in the gym training, from hitting the heavy bag to speed bag, to jump roping, to weight lifting, there can be almost no time left to actually know what’s going on in the boxing world. And with so much news coming out every day, it can get overwhelming.
That’s why podcasts are a great way to keep up to date with the happenings of the boxing world. It’s a great way to multitask, you can even listen to podcasts while you’re at the gym (though we would highly recommend taking out your headphones while sparring).
