This was a great discussion in these times! My two cents on this topic: I think working from home is really differently perceived by everyone as everybody deals with different kinds of challenges at home. There could be challenges for a separate space to work at home or unavailability of uninterrupted electricity or even a fast speed internet. Therefore, if an employer wants optimal productivity from the employees these factors should be considered as not everybody has the same luxuries. Also I really agree with your point of disciplined work schedule as it is so easy to keep working for longer hours if one doesn't keep a track of their time.
