The start of a new year is when the collective energies of self-reflection are at their peak. Across the world, we take a moment to reflect on our past life choices and actions. While this awareness is often fleeting… the concept of a new year inspires us to think about making meaningful changes in our life. So, we make “resolutions” in hopes of changing the course of our life's path in the New Year. But resolutions alone have never really been enough to resolve or change the lingering residue of our past personal or social challenges. In this episode, Dr. Murray shares the importance of making meaningful changes through INTENTIONS ― instead of resolutions. But to do that, we have to name our Sacred Expressive Life Force (SELF) and then, with intention... take responsibility for cultivating a mindset and environment worthy of that name. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
I was asked to give the Sunday message at a dear friend’s church while their pastor was out of town on business. The message was titled "I’m Nothing Without You!"  So tell me… was your first thought about that phrase go to a significant other, family, a oneness to each other as a society? How often have you whispered this sweet phrase of devotion to Elohim (God) with a sense of humbleness and gratitude? Or maybe you said it to acknowledge your reliance on The Holy Spirit’s grace? As gratifying as these scenarios are, there is a more magnificent scenario behind this statement that many are afraid to embrace. In this episode I the message I gave and how I discovered a more glorious interpretation attached to this statement and how humbling it has become for me. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message

Women's History Month is all about recognizing the many achievements and contributions women have made toward this country's progress. This year I choose to recognize a group of women who have made a different kind of contribution to push this country forward. The many Black women who died at the hands of the police. For the remainder of Women's History Month, I'll be posting the names of some of the Black Women who were killed by police to honor their life, their imprints, and the message they left for us to grapple with.  So, look me up on Instagram each day of Women’s History Month and join me in knowing and then Saying Her Name. https://www.instagram.com/drpenniemurray --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
This year for the week of Christmas and New Year, I chose to spend it alone… to spend quality time with my SELF. My choice was not based on sadness, depression, COVID, or family drama… Instead, I just wanted some “concentrate on ME” time.  But I wanted to offer a quick message of "soul care" for those who might feel alone, disoriented, disconnected, or energetically off-balance this holiday season. Most importantly, to advocate for the "magic" word of the season—that ushers in a different perspective and quality of life.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
Black Love…An Evolutionary Love! is one of my popular episode... So I'm rewinding the vibe.  Andrew Harvey has said that “The crisis we are facing is a crisis in which the sacred powers of love in the human soul are being diverted by distractions, greed, ignorance, and the pursuit of power. In this chaos, the evolutionary energy of love is blocked from irrigating the hearts of humans… and preventing us from transforming the world as we should.” We all want to love and be loved… but do we acknowledge and honor that WE ARE LOVE incarnate. Do we comprehend that we are the physical extension of LOVE’s non-physical Divine Spirit? This episode is dedicated to the Evolutionary Energy of Love… especially Black Love, which has braved the historical atrocities of overt and covert racism... as well as our own self-sabotaging actions. It is also dedicated to African American Women whose unrelenting, irreplaceable energy… throughout history… has never faltered in being a cornerstone for the African American family, our community, as well as the world around them. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
In the wake of the succession of holidays: Memorial Day, Juneteeth, and the 4th of July, this replay Commemorates the Unsung Sacrifices of the many Black Americans who paid the ultimate ransom for the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all… yet remain unfulfilled for the Black Community. Many will point out that things have changed, and laws have been written and passed that fulfill this promise. But I strongly argue while laws have been passed—both the “letter and spirit of these laws” continue to be marginalized, ignored, and even overturned as it relates to the quality of Black Lives. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
This is part 2 of Confessions of a Wounded Messenger. What prompted me to make part 2 was my Divine Allies asking me a simple yet provocative question... “But What do YOU want?” I should have been able to answer that question almost immediately… but I couldn’t. So, I got angry at my Self. I’ve spent SSOO much time and emotional energy ensuring I was available for my children, grandchildren, and family so they got what they wanted or needed… sometimes at the expense of my happiness… I didn’t have a flip’n clue what I wanted. Listen as I my Divine Allies guide me through an inner Sankofa Journey into my past to retrieve valuable information I forgot to bring forward into my life. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
Someone recently said to me, “Pennie, things will change for you when you decide to be ALL IN.” Hell… I thought I WAS all in, but recent events proved that I WAS NOT. So join me in this episode as I discuss how my Divine Allies pointed out how my self-sabotaging behaviors have become so cleverly disguised… to the point that I think I’m ALL IN... But all I’ve done is grasp for other things and people to avoid genuinely taking responsibility for my divine calling. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
In our society, the words Masculine and Feminine are immediately associated with men and women. Our dictionaries and social norms affirm this thought. Unfortunately, we’re conditioned to believe feminine characteristics are inferior or flawed; and masculine characteristics are superior or strong. But on this episode, I want to close out Women's History Month by offering an alternative perspective… masculinity and femininity are not the same as gender identity. Join me and my guest Peter Griffin honor Women’s History Month through the lens of feminine energy, from a man's perspective. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
with guest: Daryl French Without a doubt, there are men who love and support black women. But their voices are often silent or nothing more than a whisper against the louder noises out here that disgrace us—and do damnable violence to our emotional psychic. In the European Christian Bible, Matthew 5:24 urges us to FIRST make amends with those we have caused harm to, and then we can offer our gifts of gratitude and thankfulness. So this episode of SVNC features a black male spoken word artist that goes by the name of D-Frenchieee… And he’s doing some self-reflection on how he has related to Black women. Through his poetry, he’s making amends, finding strength in his vulnerability, and giving his SELF permission to heal the “OUCH” within his feeling state.  If you want to follow Daryl’s self-reflective journey you can find him on Instagram @ d_frenchieee  #thelearningspa #thepowerofselfpermission #SacredEpressiveLifeForce --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
We know that June is pride month…out of love… this show is dedicated to my family members who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. This is another special segment called Changing the Conversation at the Dinner Table. This episode of Changing the Conversation at the Dinner Table is with my niece Porsche and her wife, Candice. In our conversation, you’ll hear me say that while I interact with family members and friends who are LBGTQ+ Americans from a space of love… I remain ignorant about their truth. We're at the my dinner table to have a conversation to push past the fears that blind us… to see the divine essence in each other. Enjoy! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
It started with a Twitter post making the assertion that “Black people are genetically stronger, smarter, and more creative than everyone else. The post went on to say, “On December 21, 2020, our Real DNA would be unlocked, and the majority of Black Americans would be able to do things we thought were fiction.” Many responded to the Twitter post with mockery and silly memes. For centuries, we’ve been indoctrinated to believe Africans/Black Americans are inferior to everyone else. But the moment we confront the lie by asserting the divine truth of our excellence, we face either white indignation or mockery from the black community. In this episode, I explore the cosmic effects of the great conjunction of 2020 and the commotion on social media about this cosmic anomaly releasing superpowers in the black community. I’ll unpack the poster’s assertions and give you my thoughts... then you can decide for yourself whether there is value in the statement or not. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message

It took me a minute to get to part 2 of Freedom's Song, but I finally got there.  This is the second part of the conversation on severing the cords of our obsession with trickle-down white equality – gaining freedom and equality through White approval and acceptance. I continue to make the case that addressing the psychological injustices inflicted on the African American psyche and our inner freedom is just as significant to our overall well-being as our external fight for freedom.  In this episode, I continue to discuss my proposition to engage in a psychological rite of passage that starts on an individual level. It sets the stage for subsequent episodes of Raw Talk on coming out of the closet about our fear of success, and why we’re so hell-bent on resisting our highest good. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
New Year Message 2021

New Year Message 2021

2021-01-0233:16

Before we entered our mothers’ wombs, we were spirit energy. As spirit energy, we made a spiritual agreement to fulfill a task by coming in physical form. Supreme Spirit set us apart and appointed us as a prophet to the nations. Now, the Universe is waiting for us to take our place among the world’s prophets to fulfill our agreement. To do that, we have to name our spiritual agreement and then set our intentions—not resolutions to achieve that agreement. Resolutions are about making a firm decision to do something to meet a particular goal. But resolutions alone will not be enough to get us through the new reality 2021 is presenting to us. 2021 is ushering in a New Era... we have to start setting intentions – instead of resolutions.  In this episode, Dr. Murray shares how to discover the name of our spiritual agreement so we can set purposeful intentions that lead to achieving our manifest destiny.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message

I’m not counting this as a regular episode; I just needed to be on my soapbox for a minute cause I had some shit on my heart and mind and needed to talk out loud to make space for truth to speak to my frustrations. I'm pointing out how the year 2020 continues to expose what is at the soul of America. I am petitioning that our obsessive need for a “savior” outside ourselves to come and save the day has never worked for us. I'm urging those of us whose fear and self-doubt have kept them in the background of life to come out of the shadows, roll up our sleeves, and put some skin in the game. All around us…The Universe is signaling to us the urgency of remembering that nothing can happen for us as individuals or a country without our own consent. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
2020 symbolizes clear vision and relationships. This year, 2020, provided a clear vision about the soul of America… its vulnerabilities, its crimes, its injustices, and its brokenness. It has also revealed how fragile social advancement and freedom for African Americans are when controlled by a social system that refuses to value our lives. This 2-part episode starts a conversation on severing the cords of our obsession with gaining freedom and equality through White approval and acceptance. It argues for a movement addressing the psychological injustices inflicted on the African American psyche. It declares that healing justice is just as significant to our overall well-being as our external fight for freedom. It further proposes a sacred civil rights movement or rite of passage that focuses on us, to heal us, and to build for us. But it all starts with acknowledging the uncomfortable truth regarding decades of both our fears of being powerful and our resentment of feeling powerless as African Americans in this country. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dr-pennie-murray/message
