In the wake of the succession of holidays: Memorial Day, Juneteeth, and the 4th of July, this replay Commemorates the Unsung Sacrifices of the many Black Americans who paid the ultimate ransom for the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all… yet remain unfulfilled for the Black Community.
Many will point out that things have changed, and laws have been written and passed that fulfill this promise. But I strongly argue while laws have been passed—both the “letter and spirit of these laws” continue to be marginalized, ignored, and even overturned as it relates to the quality of Black Lives.
