Kiki Kirby Podcast – Evolving in a Heart-Centred Way In this powerful and inspiring episode of the Kiki Kirby Podcast, Kiki sits down with Helen Longland, Chartered Financial Planner, Fellow of the CII & LIBF, and Principal of a Financial Services Business School. Helen brings a fresh perspective on leadership, learning, and navigating the evolving world of work with heart and purpose. Helen shares her career journey from a law student to a leader in learning and development and offers heartfelt insights on how to thrive in a demanding industry without losing your sense of self. Her philosophy of “curious mind, clear voice, fresh perspective” is woven throughout the conversation, making this episode a must-listen for professionals seeking deeper meaning in their careers. We explore: The evolution of the workplace and how to adapt with purpose How to lead human performance with empathy, clarity, and impact The importance of listening, self-leadership, and setting boundaries Helen’s involvement in the New Talent Alliance and her mission to inspire the next generation of financial advisors Personal strategies to slow down, recharge, and stay grounded amidst a high-paced environment  Key Takeaways Heart-Centred Leadership means trusting your inner compass and leading with integrity. There is no “grand plan” in career evolution - just do the next role well, and growth follows. Listening is a critical leadership skill - professionally and personally. Learning and development need to be accessible, micro, and blended. The post-pandemic workplace risks forgetting the importance of human connection. Slowing down with intentional hobbies (like gardening and dog walks) fosters clarity and well-being.  Resources Mentioned  Helen Longland on LinkedIn  All About Deep Listening by Emily Kiesel YouTube link  Body Talk UK article  New Talent Alliance   Connect & Reflect This episode reminds us that leadership is not about having all the answers, it’s about being present, asking good questions, and staying grounded. Whether you're navigating a career pivot, leading a team, or simply looking to reconnect with purpose, Helen's wisdom offers actionable insight. 🎙️ The Kiki Kirby Podcast – Episode with Antje Langsch Theme: From Vision to Venture – The Turning Point   In this heartfelt episode, Kiki is joined by Antje Langsch to explore what it really means to take a turning point in life and turn it into something meaningful.   Antje Langsch is a former global finance director of ultra-luxury hospitality organisations in the UK and the Middle East. She has worked for many market leaders such as Dorchester Collection and Savoy Group. With annual turnover nearing 100 mio, Antje managed large teams, large budgets and large-scale projects such as numerous hotel refurbishments. In her last Global role, she also served as NED & Board member of an international joint venture.   Throughout her entire career, Antje was driven to support others in their professional development. Since leaving the corporate world this desire to help and support others in her capacity as a qualified coach, trainer & mentor expanded beyond professional development.   In 2021 she decided to follow her passion and transition into full-time consultancy.   Since then she has supported countless senior leaders and business owners in excelling at what they do and leading a fulfilling life.   Besides her experience of 20+ years in corporate finance, her approach is psychology-informed and focuses on mindset which is key to success.   Although a German national, Antje has spent more years living in the UK than in her native country and during that time she had the great honor of meeting Queen Elizabeth II.   In this Podcast Episode together, they unravel the journey of moving from breakdown to breakthrough, from silence to voice, and from vision to purpose-led work. Antje’s story is one of deep personal transformation.   After years in a successful corporate career, she hit a wall, a burnout that couldn’t be ignored. This moment became her turning point. Instead of returning to the life she once knew, Antje chose to listen to her inner voice and step into the unknown.  🔑 What This Episode Explores:  🔄 The Turning Point Antje shares the moment she knew something had to change—where her inner world no longer aligned with the external success she had built. She describes the fear and freedom of choosing a different path, and how the smallest whispers within became the loudest truth.  🌀 Healing from the Inside Out Burnout forced Antje to pause, but healing required more than just rest. It called for deep emotional, physical, and healing.  🌺 From Vision to Venture As Antje healed, a clear vision began to take shape: to help women reconnect with their essence, release inherited patterns, and find clarity through embodied presence.  What began as a whisper turned into a calling—and from that, a heart-led business was born.  🔥 Releasing Old Identities The conversation dives into the courage it takes to let go of who you thought you had to be—the ‘good girl,’ the achiever, the one who holds it all together. Antje speaks about reclaiming anger, setting boundaries, and choosing truth over people-pleasing. 🌕 Embodying a New Way Living cyclically, honouring rest, and embracing slowness are no longer luxuries—they're necessities. Antje shares how her business is built on intuition, integrity, and deep listening rather than strategy alone.   💬 Standout Messages as reminders for you “You don’t need to figure it all out. You need to feel your way forward.” “The body remembers, even when the mind forgets.” “Your turning point isn’t the end—it’s the beginning of everything true.”   🧡 Final Reflection   This episode is an invitation to pause and reflect on your own turning points. What whispers are you ignoring? What version of you is waiting to be remembered? Through Antje’s story, you’ll be reminded that your vision doesn’t have to be loud or perfect to be powerful—and that your venture can be born from the quietest, most sacred parts of you.   Connect with Antje Langsch Linkedin Website

The Kiki Kirby Podcast is your go-to space for inspiration, encouraging listeners to love, grow, and take action in all areas of life. Now in its third series, the podcast explores the intersection of life, work, and careers, diving deep into the motivations behind what we do. Host Kiki Kirby welcomes guests who embody heart-centered living, sharing their stories to spark transformation in others. In a recent episode, Kiki introduces Laura, a remarkable guest whose journey will resonate with those striving to balance multiple roles while maintaining well-being and productivity. Laura’s story is one of resilience and adaptability. As a mother, wife, founder, and stepmother, she juggles numerous responsibilities while maintaining an extraordinary level of organisation. But her journey isn’t just about personal success, it's about empowering others through technology. Laura is the creator of Proper Plan, a productivity platform designed to help people achieve more by combining effective systems, technology, and a mindset for success. Her path hasn’t been without challenges. Laura shares how becoming a stepmother during a hectic phase of her life taught her the importance of organisation and heart-centered leadership. From her early days as a corporate creative director to her transition into entrepreneurship, Laura's career pivot was fueled by a desire to find her true purpose. Along the way, she explored web design, digital marketing, and coaching, discovering a passion for helping others overcome overwhelm and burnout. It was during her time as a marketing coach that Laura identified a major issue: people were struggling with productivity, leading to low course completion rates. Determined to make a difference, she set out to create Proper Plan, a platform aimed at solving these challenges head-on. Laura’s journey took a bold turn in 2020 when she put her idea on hold. However, a burnout holiday in 2023 reignited her vision. During a retreat in Jamaica, she wrote her business plan, learned how to secure investment, and closed her existing business to focus solely on Proper Plan. In a leap of faith, Laura secured funding in just seven days, proving the power of determination and clarity of purpose. Today, Proper Plan shares they have over 500 users, with a goal to reach 150,000 in the next five to six years. Laura’s story is a powerful testament to the impact of taking calculated risks, staying true to your passion, and embracing all facets of your identity. This episode of the Kiki Kirby Podcast is a must-listen for anyone looking to navigate their own path with purpose, passion, and heart. Welcome back to season three of the Kiki Kirby Podcast - Evolving in a heart centred way. People are important. You are important. Mental health is everyone’s business.    Today is #Worldmentalhealthdaytoday, let’s take a moment to check in with ourselves, our friends, our colleagues and loved ones.    Mental health is our priority for us daily.  Let’s do it together. Talking about our mental health can help us cope better with life’s ups and downs.    “Your mental health is a priority. Your happiness is an essential. Your self-care is a necessity.”   It matters today and every day let’s recognise this and encourage open conversations about mental wellbeing and sharing ideas and resources for supporting our own and others mental health.   This year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities.    Mental health at work includes creating a supportive environment, encouraging open conversations, offering resources like counseling, ensuring manageable workloads, and fostering a culture of respect and balance. It’s crucial for employee retention, performance, and overall company and team success.   We all have times when we feel down or stressed or frightened.    Most of the time those feelings pass.    But sometimes they develop into a more serious problem and that could happen to any one of us.   Everyone is different. You may bounce back from a setback while someone else may feel weighed down by it for a long time.   Your mental health doesn’t always stay the same. It can change as circumstances change and as you move through different stages of your life.   Work can have a huge impact on our mental health. It can be good for our mental health, giving us a sense of purpose, boosting our self-worth, and providing opportunities to connect with others. But it can also be a source of stress and anxiety and contribute to developing or worsening mental health problems.    15% of UK workers are estimated to have an existing mental health condition [1] 875,000 workers suffering from work-related stress, depression and anxiety in 2022/23 [2] 5th most common reason for sickness absence in 2022 was mental health.
