WHAT IS: SHADOW WORK

WHAT IS: SHADOW WORK

2022-01-2529:39

In this episode we discuss the much talked-about concept in spiritual+psychological circles: shadow work.
What stops us from making the right decisions in love? Why do we tend to suffocate the people we love? Here's my take on it.
In this episode, we touch upon authenticity, perfectionism, and people pleasing.
Some extra clarifications (read this after listening to the episode): Accepting your present leads to stillness, and in that stillness, you get creative ideas on what to do next. On the other hand, if you never accept the present, all your next moves are rooted in fear, you will be thinking in the same manner which caused the problem in the first place- thus repeating the pattern. So accepting the present is not a weak act, it doesn't lead to stagnation, it leads to change and growth, that is real and lasting. ACCEPT, THEN ACT. Also, if you find yourself in such deep pain, that you don't want to face it, it's okay to temporarily distract yourself- we are all in the process of evolving. But, at some point, you will have to face it- when you decide that you have reached that point and that distraction starts causing you more pain than relief, listen to this episode on how to face those fears. Love and light to you all, R 💜

In this episode, we talk about how setbacks or failures are a normal part of everyone's lives and that's why we need to develop resilience. But what builds resilience? Spirituality, Self-forgiveness, Connection, Commitment to a purpose are some of the factors we discuss here. We also talk about guilt, shame, comparison and pride and how they keep us stuck in the past. Hope you learn something from this episode, and if nothing, atleast find the reassurance that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Love, Roopal 💜 (insta: @roopaljain20_)

Gratitude has been shown to improve mood and happiness levels. In this episode, we talk about its importance in the goal attainment process and how it can bring us closer to our desires. We also talk about the 21 days gratitude journaling challenge which has been shown to improve our ability to focus on the good in our lives. You can also join me in the challenge, by putting up in your instagram stories, what made you feel grateful that day. Don't forget to tag me: @roopaljain20_ I would love for you to join in the challenge, if not stories, DM me about your experience with it. Lots of love and gratitude 💜
What is the root of our problems? Different philosophers have given different answers to this existential question. In this episode I share another perspective to look at our problems and how solving them require just a tweak here and a trim there- to attain that perfect balance of love, power and wisdom. Hope this helps and if nothing gives you something to think about. Would love to hear from you. Here's my instagram id: @roopaljain20_

Marcus Aurelius was the Emperor of Rome and is an inspiration for people who feel that their status/position in society hinders their spiritual evolution.
