In this short solo episode, I’m sharing three easy and practical ways you can bring mindfulness into your day, without adding anything extra to your schedule. You don’t have to do more; you simply need to focus more on the present moment. These simple techniques take just a few minutes each day and can completely shift how you feel, bringing more calm, clarity, and connection into your life.
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and aware of what you’re doing and feeling, without distraction or judgment. It helps you tune into your body, your breath, and your surroundings so that you can respond to life from a place of peace rather than stress or autopilot.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Three quick mindfulness practices you can start using today
How to integrate mindfulness into your busy routine
The mindset shift that makes being present feel effortless
How I personally bring mindfulness into my own life each day
These tips are designed to fit seamlessly into your routine, whether you’re doing your Face Yoga, making a cup of tea, or taking a short walk. By using these tools, you’ll start to feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to yourself, even on the busiest days.

In this week’s episode of The Face Yoga Expert Podcast, I’m sharing 13 powerful and surprising lessons I learned during my seven-day yoga retreat in Turkey last month.
This retreat was so much more than yoga, it became a deep journey of self-reflection, surrender, and transformation. Whether you’ve been on a retreat before or you’re dreaming of one, these lessons will inspire you to live with more peace, resilience, and self-compassion every day.
Here are some of the key insights I share in this episode:
The way I care for myself in the next six years will determine how the next fifty unfold (especially if I want to live to 100).
I have a choice in how I see every situation, positive or negative.
Strength training will serve me well in my forties and beyond.
I am more resilient than I think.
Surrender brings peace in every situation.
When faced with uncomfortable feelings, sit with them for a few minutes, then change your environment to let them pass.
I can learn so much from others,I love being a student as much as a teacher.
Always treat people the way you want to be treated.
The closer food is to nature, the better it is for my body.
If reality doesn’t match expectations, change your expectations to find joy in the present.
Positive people attract positive people.
To find creativity, I must find space.
Nothing in life stays the same forever.
These reflections reminded me how deeply connected self-care, mindset, and wellness truly are, and how Face Yoga is not only about our faces but about the way we live and feel each day.

The most common signs and symptoms of perimenopause
How early perimenopause can start and how to recognise when you are entering menopause
The physical and emotional changes many women experience during this time
The best supplements to support your body during the day and at night

This short solo episode is designed to be practical, repeatable, and deeply calming. It’s something you can listen to or watch again and again whenever you need to slow down, reset, and reconnect with yourself.
I’ll guide you through simple breathing exercises to:
Calm your nervous system
Settle your mind and feel more present
Release stress and tension from your body
Soften your face so it looks and feels more relaxed, healthy, and radiant
Then we move into healing words and affirmations. With each in-breath, we focus on the intentions and qualities we want to welcome in. With each out-breath, we gently let go of what no longer serves us. Finally, we repeat affirmations three times together to anchor them fully into our body, mind, and face.
You can do this practice lying down, sitting comfortably, or even while walking or driving (as long as it’s safe to do so). It’s like having a short guided meditation and breathwork session that you can return to anytime you need it.

In this short but inspiring solo episode, I’m sharing my personal journey with letting go and how you can begin to invite this energy into your own life.

In this episode, I talk about:
Why holding on can feel heavy and overwhelming
The challenges of truly letting go
How the Chinese New Year of the Snake and Libra energy encourage balance and release
Why the full moon and even our menstrual cycle can be powerful times to let go
Simple tips to help you be more present in daily life
Techniques for feeling lighter, more joyful, and more at peace with situations beyond your control
If you’ve been craving more balance, flow, and ease, this episode will give you both inspiration and practical tools to help you feel more aligned.

As we move into a new season, our skin and our energy often shift too. Autumn (or Fall, if you’re listening from the US!) is such a beautiful time for reflection, coziness, and renewal and it’s also the perfect season to adjust your Face Yoga practice.
In this week’s solo episode of The Face Yoga Expert Podcast, I’m sharing four simple but powerful ways to adapt your Face Yoga in Autumn/Fall so you can look and feel your very best.
Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode:
Setting seasonal goals
How to use the change of season as an opportunity for growth, reflection, and setting gentle, achievable goals. I’ll guide you through tips on how to make these goals inspiring and motivating, and share a few personal stories from my own seasonal transitions.
Creating a cosy environment
Why autumn is the perfect time to lean into warmth, softness, and coziness and how making your Face Yoga practice nurturing and comforting can help you stay consistent and really enjoy it.
Hydration inside and out
I’ll share practical ways to keep your skin glowing and hydrated as the weather turns cooler, including what to drink, how to layer hydration topically, and why combining Face Yoga with your skincare routine gives you the best results.
Face Yoga + skincare integration
This is one of my favourite tips: doing your Face Yoga moves at the same time as applying your skincare products. I’ll explain why this is so effective, and how it can easily become a mindful daily ritual.
I also talk about my brand new course: The Face Yoga Expert Facial™ At Home, which teaches you how to do Face Yoga at every stage of your skincare routine. This course is available now at the early bird price of £18 until 10th September (and £21 after that). It’s a beautiful way to learn a structured practice that fits perfectly into your daily routine.
This episode is for you if you want to:
Keep your skin glowing and healthy during Autumn/Fall
Make Face Yoga part of your cosy, self-care rituals
Stay hydrated and radiant as the weather gets cooler
Learn how to combine Face Yoga with your skincare for maximum results
In this week’s episode, I invite you to join me for a short but powerful seven-minute guided meditation focused entirely on your face, designed to leave your skin feeling smooth, vibrant, and glowing.
We start by tuning into how your face feels right now, boosting the mindfulness and connection with yourself. Then, I’ll guide you through visualising a soothing white healing light as it flows over each key area of your face, encouraging healthy, radiant skin.
You’ll be led to imagine your entire face glowing with vitality and strength, before gently returning your focus to notice how your face feels in this moment- hopefully calm, relaxed, and refreshed!. Along the way, we’ll practice deep breathing exercises to support both your skin and your overall sense of wellbeing.
This meditation is perfect to use regularly, helping your face look naturally healthy and strong while calming your mind and body.

In this episode, I share my simple, effective method for making Face Yoga part of your daily routine, in just five minutes a day. After teaching Face Yoga for over 20 years, one thing has become very clear: consistency is the key to real, lasting results.
Whether you’re looking to tone and lift your face, improve circulation for a healthy glow, or release facial tension, this five-minute routine is a great place to start. I also offer practical tips for staying motivated and making Face Yoga a consistent, enjoyable habit.
What You’ll Learn:
Why consistency matters more than age when it comes to seeing results
A five-minute Face Yoga routine that fits into even the busiest day
The physical and emotional benefits of daily facial movement
How to stay motivated and make Face Yoga part of your lifestyle
Tools and techniques to track your progress and refine your routine
The 5-Minute Daily Routine:
Forehead Smoother – Release tension and soften lines
Eye Area Tapping – Improve lymphatic flow and reduce tiredness
Cheek Strengthener – Tone and lift the mid-face
Jaw Release – Ease tightness and support facial definition
Neck Lifter – Firm and strengthen the neck area
Tips to Stay Consistent:
Start small with a few simple techniques and build from there
Focus on how it feels, not just how it looks
Use The Face Yoga Journal to track your progress and stay motivated
Take progress photos every two weeks
Practice in front of a mirror to refine your technique and notice real-time results
Final Thought:
Face Yoga isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating a few quiet, mindful minutes for yourself each day. Your breath, your hands, and your face, working together to help you feel and look your best. With consistency, the changes you see and feel will be both powerful and lasting.

You may have heard of the “10,000-hour rule”, the idea that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to truly master something. Popularised by author Malcolm Gladwell, it’s a concept that deeply resonates with my journey.
In the first 10 years of my career, I taught Face Yoga and wellness in person for around 20 hours a week. That added up to 10,000 hours , face-to-face, hands-on experience. These years taught me so much about what really works for lifting, toning, and transforming the skin naturally.
Now, with another decade of mostly online teaching behind me, I want to share the 5 key techniques I learned from those early, in-person years, the ones that still form the foundation of my method today.
In this episode I chat about:
Relaxing the Forehead
The forehead area holds so much tension. Teaching people how to soften and relax this area using simple techniques leads to visible results, fewer lines and a smoother, calmer expression.
Opening the Eyes & Draining Lymph
To reduce puffiness, energise the eye area, and brighten the whole face, it’s vital to learn how to open up the eyes and support lymphatic drainage. This helps to release fluid buildup and awaken tired eyes.
Lifting & Massaging the Cheeks
Yes, cheek muscles need lifting and toning through exercise plus massage that really activates circulation. This combination gives the cheeks a more youthful, glowing look.
Jaw Release
Releasing tension in the jaw is essential, not just for wellness, but for aesthetics too. It can reduce puffiness, soften the lower face, and create a more balanced, relaxed appearance.
Improving Posture for Neck Lift
One of the best things you can do for the neck area is to improve your posture. Poor posture contributes to neck lines, sagging, and tightness. Better alignment = better results.
