Have you ever felt like you’re not ready yet to teach, to lead, or to hold space for others, because you’re still healing yourself?
You’re not alone.
In this episode, I share the quiet truth that so many yoga teachers and practitioners carry: the belief that we must be “fixed,” fully healed, or endlessly educated before we can hold space safely.
But readiness doesn’t come before the journey - it comes through it.
We’ll explore:
✨ The myth of needing to be “ready” before you begin
✨ Why your sensitivity and imperfection are your superpowers
✨ How trauma-informed yin yoga helps you create safety through presence, not perfection
✨ Why your lived experience is what makes you a powerful space holder
If you’ve ever doubted yourself, compared yourself to others, or felt like you don’t know enough, this episode is for you.
If today’s episode resonated with you and curious to experience how this works in practice, I invite you to explore it through my free resource: The Emotional and Nervous System Yin Reset.
This experience combines short comprehensive theory, a guided yin yoga practice based on my integrated signature approach The Meridian-Emotion-Nervous System Yoga Method ® and a reflection journal to integrate your experience.

Most yoga teachers and practitioners believe yin yoga is about stillness, long holds, and deep stretching. But beneath the surface, something far more profound is happening and most teacher trainings or even classes completely miss it.
Because yin yoga doesn’t just stretch your body, it speaks to your nervous system.
It touches the emotions that live in the deep layers of the body, the stories stored in your tissues, and the parts of you that can’t be reached through movement alone.
In this episode, I explore the depth of yin yoga that moves beyond sequencing and anatomy, and into trauma-awareness, emotional processing, and nervous system attunement.
You’ll learn why:
– Just memorizing poses won’t make you a trauma-informed yoga teacher
– You can’t sequence your way into safety
– Real teaching begins with attunement, not perfect alignment
– Yin yoga becomes transformational when you understand the Meridian–Emotion–Nervous System connection
This is for the teachers and practitioners who sense there’s more to yoga than what they’ve been taught, who are ready to create and hold safe spaces.

There’s a kind of exhaustion that goes beyond tiredness, the kind that no amount of sleep, meditation, or self-care can fix.
It’s the quiet burnout of always being the one who holds it all together.
In this episode, I share a very personal story of how I discovered that my “balanced” lifestyle - yoga, healthy lifestyle - was actually built on nervous system dysregulation. I looked calm on the outside but was still performing calm instead of feeling it.
This conversation is for anyone who’s ever done everything right and still felt disconnected, anxious, or overwhelmed.
You’ll hear:
✨ The subtle ways burnout hides behind high-functioning habits
✨ How we use yoga to numb instead of connect (without realizing it)
✨ What happens when your nervous system finally feels safe enough to soften
✨ How yin yoga became the bridge from performance to presence
If you’ve been holding space for everyone else but haven’t felt truly held yourself, this is your invitation to pause and feel what your body’s been trying to tell you.

When you come into a yin yoga pose, what truly matters isn’t how deep you go, it’s whether your body feels safe enough to soften.
In this episode, we explore the felt sense of safety, the deep, quiet signal in your nervous system that says, “I don’t have to be on guard right now.” Without this internal safety, no sequence, no cue, and no posture will create the calm we long for.
You’ll learn:
Why your nervous system must feel safe before it can relax
How trauma-informed yin yoga helps the body trust again
Why “regulation” isn’t about staying calm
How well-meaning yoga cues can unintentionally bypass the body’s reality
What changes when we prioritize safety before shapes
This isn’t about performing poses. It’s about remembering that healing happens when your body feels safe enough to unfold, not when you force it into a shape.
If you’re ready to experience this for yourself, try my Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a gentle practice designed to help you reconnect with safety, softness, and self-trust.

Most people think flexibility in yoga means touching your toes. But real flexibility - the kind that actually is life changing - has nothing to do with how far you can fold.
But what I wish more yoga spaces would talk about: real flexibility isn’t just about the body. It’s about your nervous system. It’s about how you meet emotions, how you respond to stress, how you hold space for what’s uncomfortable without shutting down or running away.
In this episode, I’m unpacking what I call “nervous system flexibility”, the missing link between emotional regulation, trauma-informed principles, and how yin yoga and meridian work connect the dots.
You’ll learn:
Why traditional yoga and meditation might not be reaching your deeper layers
How yin yoga supports your emotional and energetic body through the meridian system
Why stillness might feel uncomfortable and how to feel safe in it
The real difference between performing calm and actually feeling it
I’m also sharing part of my own story, how I went from chronic burnout and anxiety to discovering yin yoga as the practice that helped me rebuild from the inside out.

Have you practiced yoga perhaps for years and still felt like something was missing? Maybe your body got stronger, your flexibility improved, but deep down your nervous system was still running on overdrive, your emotions still felt stuck, and the stress or burnout never really went away.
That was me for years.
In this episode, I share my turning point from corporate burnout and illness into discovering yin yoga and trauma-aware practices and why they reached places that “regular yoga” never could.
We’ll explore:
Why so many people practice yoga and still feel stuck in stress or overwhelm
How my illness forced me to slow down and discover yin yoga as nervous system medicine
The difference between stretching your body and actually releasing stored emotions
Why safety, trauma-awareness, and nervous system regulation matter more than “fancy flows”
What makes yin yoga uniquely powerful for integration, embodiment, and healing
If you’ve ever wondered why your yoga practice didn’t fully shift the patterns you were hoping it would, or if you’ve felt like “something deeper” was missing, this conversation is for you.

Have you ever felt out of place in a yoga or spiritual space, surrounded by all the “good vibes”, but inside something just didn’t sit right? That subtle discomfort, what I call the spiritual ick, often points to something deeper being avoided.
In this episode, I explore spiritual bypassing: when spiritual language or practices are used to dismiss real emotions, grief, trauma, or responsibility. We’ll look at:
What spiritual bypassing is and how it shows up in yoga and wellness spaces
Common phrases that can unintentionally create harm
The consequences bypassing has on our nervous system and healing journey
Why integration, embodiment, and grounded practices matter more than “high vibe only”
How to create yoga spaces where all of you is welcome
If you’ve ever rolled your eyes at “just let go” or felt unseen in a yoga class that pushed positivity over reality, this conversation is for you.

Triggers in yoga are real, and they show up for both students and teachers, yet they’re rarely talked about openly. In this episode, we explore what triggers are, why they happen, and how they relate to trauma stored in the body.
You’ll learn:
How even seemingly “safe” postures like Child’s Pose, Happy Baby, or Puppy Pose can activate the nervous system.
Why verbal cues, touch, stillness, or breath practices can unintentionally trigger trauma.
How to respond with choice, agency, and compassion instead of avoidance.
Whether you’re a yoga teacher who wants to guide students safely, or a practitioner seeking a deeper understanding of your own nervous system, this episode will give you tools to navigate triggers without shame or fear.
I also share why avoidance doesn’t help healing, and how understanding triggers is a core part of my courses, where we dive deeply into safe, empowering teaching practices and nervous system awareness.

Touch in yoga can be one of the most supportive tools for healing, or one of the most harmful one.
The difference? It’s not the adjustment itself, but how, why, and with what awareness it’s offered.
In this episode, we dive into the deeply important (and often overlooked) topic of ethical touch and informed, ongoing, explicit consent in yoga spaces.
We’ll explore:
Why consent cards and “one-time agreements” don’t actually protect students
How trauma responses like freeze and fawn can turn a “yes” into a hidden “no”
What safe, trauma-informed touch looks and feels like (and when not to use it at all)
Why informed consent is not a checkbox, but a continuous, fluid process
How to read non-verbal cues and respond with attunement
The truth that touch in yoga is never neutral, it can either regulate or retraumatize.
If you’re a teacher, this is about shifting from “I know what’s best” to recognizing your students as the experts of their own bodies.
If you’re a practitioner, this episode will give you language and awareness to advocate for yourself and your boundaries in class.
✨ This is exactly why I created my trainings:
The 100HR Trauma-Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians TTC (for teachers ready to integrate trauma-informed tools deeply into their yin practice and teaching)
The 30HR Trauma Awareness Training (for teachers and practitioners wanting essential, practical skills in trauma awareness and space holding, without committing to a 100 hours course)
Because at the end of the day, students won’t remember the “perfect” alignment cue or sequence. They’ll remember how safe they felt in your presence.
Touch can heal. Touch can harm. Let’s make sure we’re using it with integrity, clarity, and care.

When we talk about trauma-informed yoga, two words carry immense weight: self-regulation and co-regulation.
They might sound technical, but they’re anything but. These are deeply human skills, the invisible threads that help us stay steady in our own nervous system, and allow us to meet others with presence, safety, and compassion.
In this episode, I explore:
✨ What self-regulation really is (and how to practice it as a teacher or practitioner)
✨ The role of co-regulation and how our nervous systems impact one another
✨ Why creating safety matters more than perfect cues or sequencing
✨ Common classroom experiences where regulation skills make all the difference
✨ Simple grounding & centering techniques I use before every class to show up centered and steady
Because here’s the truth: when students walk into class, they don’t just bring their bodies. They bring their stories, their stress, their emotions, and their nervous systems. And as teachers (or even as fellow practitioners), how we regulate ourselves and how we show up for others shapes the entire experience.
This is why self-regulation and co-regulation are at the heart of trauma-informed yoga.

Yoga is not just about sequencing, cues, or playlists. What truly transforms a class is how safe, seen, and supported your students feel in your presence.
In this episode, I explore:
What attunement really is, and how it shapes the nervous system state of your students
The art of space holding and why it matters more than the “perfect” class plan
Why the antidote to anxiety isn’t calm, but safety
Practical attunement tools you can start using today
Red flags that signal when a space isn’t truly safe
This isn’t about fixing anyone or being endlessly calm. It’s about presence over performance. It’s about learning how to co-regulate, how to notice the subtle cues, and how to create an environment where students can truly rest into themselves.
If you’ve ever felt that something was missing in your yoga teacher training when it comes to safety, trauma awareness, and the nervous system, you’re not wrong. Most trainings don’t teach this. And yet, these are the exact skills that separate a good teacher from a transformative one.

After a little pause for travels and work, I’m back and ready to share the beautiful aftermath of our recent 100HR Trauma-Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training on Koh Phangan.
In this episode, I reflect on what it’s like to hold space for deep emotional work, the transformations I witnessed in our graduates, and why the “integration phase” after a training might be the most powerful part of all.
I’ll also give you a peek at what’s ahead: our next live TTC in December, and a brand-new 30HR Trauma Awareness course that you can join live or online.

This week’s episode is a personal one.
I’m turning 42 and pausing to reflect on the path that brought me here: from corporate life and survival mode… to teaching trauma-informed Yin Yoga, mentoring yoga teachers, and holding space for emotional healing around the world.
In this video, I share my own journey of letting go, starting over (many times), and slowly uncovering my dharma - not through certainty or perfection, but through presence, pain, and persistence.
This is for you if you’ve ever felt:
– “Behind” in life or healing
– Burned out as a teacher or space holder
– Called to something deeper, but unsure how to begin
– Too old, too sensitive, too late with ‘life’
You’ll hear stories, reminders, and truths I wish I knew earlier, like:
– Your purpose doesn’t arrive fully formed
– Healing is not linear
– Dharma isn’t a job title, it’s a way of showing up
– You are not too late, and messy beginnings still matter
If this reflection resonates, please leave a comment, share with someone on their healing journey, or simply take a breath and remember:
You are right on time.

In this episode, we’re diving deep into a transformational perspective I teach in all my courses: how meridians, emotions, and the nervous system are interwoven and how Yin Yoga can be a powerful tool for emotional healing and nervous system regulation.
Whether you're a yoga teacher, practitioner, or someone navigating your own healing journey, this will help you understand why your emotions live in your body and how we can work with them, rather than suppressing or bypassing them.
What you’ll learn:
The 5 main meridian pairs and their emotional aspects
How Yin Yoga supports nervous system regulation without needing to relive your story
The connection between fight/flight/freeze/fawn responses and specific meridian imbalances
Why emotional work is the missing piece in so many yoga practices and how to integrate it gently and safely
