Each day that we wake up, we don't know what we are going to face that day. We trust that we can move throughout our day with grace and ease.
However, there are times when something occurs that shifts the trajectory of your life from that point forward.
This is what happened to me when I was involved in a near-fatal car accident that I shouldn't have walked away from...
But God! By his grace, I am here to share this story that continues to unfold as I focus on my healing and recovery.
I sharing my story to inspire the hope in you that God is not done with you yet and that there is still greater to come!
In today's episode, we share the importance of sleep as part of our self-love, self-care daily routines.
We don't have adequate sleep, our body is not able to properly heal itself, leading to more stress, inflammation, decreased energy, and mood.
As we are intentional in focusing on our sleep, we will see changes in our stress, inflammation, energy, and mood levels.
So ideas shared were setting a power-down routine at least 30 minutes before sleep, reducing electronics time before bed, setting the mood for sleep with essential oils such as lavender, and evaluating what is the best amount of sleep needed.
This week, be intentional in making one small change in increasing your sleep-care to help you be the best you daily.
In today's episode, we share five keys to having an essential self-love routine. It is so easy to focus on our external relationships before looking within on the relationship we have with God and ourselves.
Focusing within on how we love and view ourselves, gives us the clarity and consistency to show up for ourselves and the world.
The 5 keys are:
Disconnect to reconnect: set aside time each day to unplug from electronics and social media.
Treat yourself: celebrate all of your progress and wins up to this point. It is okay to reflect on all that you have done to get to this point.
Journaling: putting pen to paper your thoughts and emotions provide clarity on what is working for you while being expectant of the greater to come.
Nourish your body: our bodies need the right fuel to keep us moving in bringing our goals, passion, and purpose to fruition.
Get moving: adding movement each day helps to build up our immunity and strength.
When we are intentional in having an essential self-love routine, we are ensuring that our cup is full and we can give from the overflow in giving love to others.
In today's episode, we share how we view ourselves determines how others perceive us, as well as how we are able to give and receive love.
Having a daily self-love practice is essential in sustaining our self-talk, emotions, and thoughts in a positive light.
As we are intentional in our self-love, knowing that it comes from God's love, equips us to embrace who we are and be the right example for others to follow.
In today's episode, we talk about how to shift from doing to being in our lives daily. When we are actively doing, we constantly going from one thing to the next and have multiple balls in the air. When we do this, it keeps us from having clarity on what we are doing, celebrating our progress, and staying motivated to keep pressing forward in our passion, purpose, and vision.
As it says in Nehemiah 8:10, "and do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Therefore, my brothers and sisters in Christ, do not allow Satan to steal your joy, because he doesn't deserve it. Let your joy be in the Lord as you will receive strength to face and overcome all trials and obstacles."
When we become intentional in being actively present in the here and now, we are more equipped to have clarity in where we are now, and what we desire to be in the future.
In today's episode, we dive into the power of intention instead of relying on resolutions each year.
Your purpose has been waiting for you to take it seriously. So, set the intention behind what you’re doing. This will help you to show up authentically with grace and ease.
As it says in Habakkuk 2:2-3- Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."
Being intentional helps to take things one step at a time as you trust the process and journey before you. It’s important to be mindful of your thoughts and actions, and think about what they mean to you and who you want to be.

In today's episode, we share the importance of gratitude in your life and how it changes it in a positive way.
We share five ways gratitude can enhance your life:
You will be more enthusiastic
You will have more determination toward your goals
Your optimism will increase
Your energy levels will elevate
You will have more focus and clarity
As you become intentional in having gratitude be a part of your daily life, you will see a positive shift in your mood, thoughts, and perspective.
In today's episode, we share how gratitude helps in living with autoimmunity.
We all have tough battles to fight within ourselves and in our lives living with autoimmunity, but you're strong. You're resilient. You can do it.
Be thankful that autoimmune diseases don't necessarily mean you never get a day off from pain or that you won't ever be able to fulfill your deepest desires. There's always a silver lining, right? Try to be grateful for what you do have, even if there is something you don't like about your circumstances.
Here are six ways gratitude can help in living with autoimmunity:
Improve sleep quality and duration
Helps with stress and mental health
Lowers inflammation experienced
Elevates your mood and emotions
Reduction in stress and depression
Helps with your relationships
You are in this alone as you navigate living with autoimmunity. Be intentional in giving yourself space and grace to find a gratitude routine that works for you. As you implement it, you will notice a change in your thoughts and perspective.

Surround yourself with the right people
No.More.Comparisons

In today's episode, I share a recent experience where I went for treatment and was told repeatedly by the provider that I was "complicated" and a "doctor's worst nightmare."
No one, especially those living with autoimmunity such as myself, wants to be referred to as "complicated" or a "doctor's worst nightmare."
It is already a difficult journey coming to a diagnosis of autoimmunity and then learning how to navigate managing your symptoms each day.
Our words have power, and they can either uplift, or bring down someone's resolve, spirit, and perspective.
Today, let us become more intentional with the words that we use that we are being supportive, empowering, and gracious to one another.

In today's episode, we talk about the importance of simplifying your daily routine to have more clarity and focus throughout the day.
Here are 3 questions to ask yourself in creating a simplified daily routine:
How much time do you really have?
What habits are still serving you?
What is your goal with your routine?
As you get in a groove to re-evaluate your daily routine so that is pleasing and enjoyable to do, you will have less stress, frustration, and anxiety.
In today's episode, we discuss how to implement ways to be mindful daily. It is not unreachable to do, it just takes some practice and tapping back into it again.
Here are five ways to be mindful daily:
Do one thing at a time
Do less
Put space between things
Spend several minutes daily doing nothing
Give your undivided attention to when others are talking
As you implement one or more of these into your daily routine, you will feel less stress, anxiety, and frustration while also increasing your focus and mood.
In today's episode, we share how being mindful has many benefits. Implementing it into your daily life is easy in helping you to be more actively present, aware of your surroundings, and reduces overwhelm.
Here are some facts about mindfulness:
It is not obscure or exotic- it is already a part of who we are, we just have to tap back into it
It is not a special thing that needs to be added- the capacity to be mindful is already present
It's not something you have to change about yourself
Anyone can do it
It is a way of living
It's evidence-based in how it improves our lives
It sparks innovation- the best ideas come from being present
Mindfulness starts and ends with our bodies. As we are intentional in using it more in our lives, it helps to reduce stress, overwhelm, and frustration.
In today's episode, we share how key it is to tap into your inner joy to endure and overcome life's ups and downs. At times it may seem easier said than done, but intentionally inserting it into your life helps things to be easier.
Here are a couple of tips in counting it all joy:
Smile- there is so much a smile can do to brighten your day
Be Present- by being active in the present moment
Slow Down- in life's hustle and bustle, it helps to slow down
Stay Hydrated- we are made mostly of water and need it daily
Take Breaks- everything doesn't have to be done in one day
Move- moving your body throughout the day helps to increase energy and decrease stiffness
Count the Small Wins- small steps lead to great wins
As we are intentional each day in tapping into our inner joy, it will give us more grace, energy, and focus to move throughout our days.
In today's episode, we talk about the role organization has in regards to your happiness and joy.
It is easy to not look at the correlation between happiness and organization, but it is something that shouldn't be overlooked.
How organized we are in every area of our lives impacts our happiness, either positively or negatively.
Here are 3 key benefits of organization to happiness:
It reduces stress and anxiety. When we focus on clearing the clutter in our lives, it gives us room to focus more
It provides a better sense of peace and calm. When things are chaotic and a hot mess, it is difficult to be calm and at peace.
It increases productivity. When we know where everything is and have the right boundaries, it gives room to be more focused, and therefore more productive.
As we are intentional in decluttering every area of our life, it gives us the capacity to embrace gratitude and happiness in our lives no matter what we face.
