For the record, yes, women cheat too, I know. However, generally speaking, I think its safe to say that men cheat, or have cheated more. Where does this whole concept of cheating, even come from? Did our parents parents cheat as much as the modern day person? When did it change? Has it always been there, its just that due to the advancement of technology, we're able to see it more? Is cheating acceptable? Is it a forgone conclusion that men are gonna cheat? If so, have women just accepted this reality, and therefore has low expectations of monogamy?
There are alot of progressive Blacks, and we've made many strides over the years, from the days of overt slavery, and oprression. I dont want to intimate that NONE of Black America is doing well, and that ALL blacks are in need of being saved. However, generally speaking, Black Americans could do a whole lot better. The overall poverty rate is 12%, Black Americans make up 22%. Other statistics, such as the imprisonment, employment, and education displays that Blacks must do better. What do you think is the reason for all the negative things that are going on within the Black family? Everyone can point to governmental and political agendas ,systemic racism, education, prison, and others, but how much of those things are a product of Black Fathers not being there to lead and guide? If Blacks fathers were involved as much as they should, will these issues be as prevalent? Tune in, and let's talk about it. "Darryel's Daily Dialogue....where positive words, manifest positive action."
While I'm a believer that there are many BLACK people united, I also acknowledge that many of us are divided. I also understand that this division isn't isolated to only Blacks, many ethic groups are divided. One of things that have me perplexed is that, the division comes from the same people who proclaims that they are here for the liberation and progression of Blacks. I'm aware that not everyone is gonna ever agree with everything, all of the time. However, It does disturb me when personal attacks are made, and we begin the same degrading attacks on our fellow brothers/sisters, that the oppressor displays. What's up with the Conscious community? How do we agree to disagree, while continuing to strive for liberation? Because there is a philosophy difference, does that mean we can't agree on anything?
With the many discussions of protesting the NFL, talking about whether or not people are disrespecting the flag, and the military, it being deemed as not patriotic if you don't stand and salute the National Anthem etc, it has me thinking about the origin of the flag's Pledge of Allegiance, and the National Anthem. I'm really interested in why Blacks EVER stood for the flag and the anthem? How does either one represent you? I'm sure people have various philosophical reasons, and that's why it's this week's topic. Why do Blacks Pledge Allegiance to the American Flag, and cross their and recite the National Anthem? "Darryel's Daily Dialogue....where positive words, manifest positive action."
With all of the talk about boycotting/protesting the NFL, I'm interested in knowing why. What are the reasons people feel to boycott? Why dont you feel the need to boycott? What are you looking to accomplish with the boycott? Tune into Darryel's Daily Dialogue..."where positive words, manifest positive action."
In light of the Bill Maher situation, of using "The N Word", it has me thinking of why its such a big deal. David Banner also has a viral video out, speaking about why whites, or any other races can not use the "N word", even if it's not spoken in a derogatory context. This logic intrigues me. Why is it any different, if Blacks can use it as a term of endearment? Let's talk about it. Tune in from 9-11pm.
With the evolution of society, women becoming more independent, the feminist movement, gender equality etc, I'm very interested in the perspective about the Head of the Household. Whether you're single, married, LGBT etc, I'd like to know what determines who's the Head of the Household? How is it determined? How have you come to have the outlook that you have, about one being Head of the Household? Are both parties equally the Head, or is there no Head of the household?   Darryel's Daily Dialogue....."where positive words, manifest positive action."
Many has argued whether or not, people are born gay. My question is, are people even born straight? At what age do we begin showing interest in a particular gender? Can someone actually be born gay or born straight? Can you control who you're sexually attracted to? How much does environment influence your sexual preference? "Darryel's Daily Dialogue...where positive words, manifest positive action."
Once you're married or in a committed relationship, what are the rules of engagement, for how you interact with your ex-lover, or ex-sex partner? Is it an insecurity, that people don't want their spouse to be friends with their ex's? Is it possible to have a pure platonic with someone that you've been sexual intimate with? Are you oppossed to your spouse having a friendship with their spouse? Can you be completely platonic with someone, after being sexually intimate? There will also be guest, speaking about their experiences with platonic relationships. "Darryel's Daily Dialogue...where positive words, manifest positive actions."
Often times we hear that the Man is the Head of The Household. To me, that implies that everything that happens within the household, good or bad, is a direct result of the man's actions. With that premise, when I think about the epidemic of single mothers, father-less children, the imprisonment rate, the disparity of education, poverty stricken Black families, divorce rate etc, I have to ask the question....Are Black men the main contributors to the condition of the Black family? I will also have 5 male guest speakers, discussing the importance of Man-hood, and what they'll be doing this upcoming weekend, to empower a group of men, for H2H Men's Empowerment Day. Tune in to Darryel's Daily Dialogue...where positive words, manifest positive action.
Can a woman raise a boy, to be a man? From my observation, a lot of single mothers are rarely balanced when raising their children. I know some who are either, very lenient, giving the kids whatever they want, or either very tough, and making sure they're not being too easy on them. How do you balance it all, when raising a young black boy? I will have 5 guest on the show, speaking from various perspectives of being a man, raised by a single mother. Or, being a single mother, raising a young black boy. Tune in, from 9-11pm. "Darryel's Daily Dialogue....where positive words, manifest positive action."
Regardless of where you're from, how old you are, your race, religious beliefs etc, if you're a man, you've cheated or at least no multiple men who's cheated. Why is that? Why is it so difficult for men to be with ONE WOMAN? Is monogamy un-natural? Are men attempting to conform to something that goes against their natural instincts? What are your thoughts about polygamy? Are you open to it? Tune in to Darryel's Daily Dialogue, "where positive words, manifest positive action." I will have guest speaking from experience, and taking questions and calls from the audience.
Tonight's topic is a very relative one. Relative to your beliefs, thoughts, intepretation and perception. Upon doing a little research, I've learned just how this topic varies for each individual. Soulmates. Some say it's a spiritual connection, some say it's when two(or more) souls connect, some say it doesnt exist, some say it means that the mental and energy is relentless etc. I don't know the answer, and I don't know if there's anyone wrong or right. What I do know is that it's important for the people involved, to define what they have. Tonight, we will be discussing Soulmates....dou believe in them? Are there multiple Soulmates? How do you define a Soulmate? Tune in from 9-11pm, to listen and/or share your thoughts. "Darryel's Daily Dialogue, where positive words, manifest positive action."
Black men hav been dating/marrying other ethnic groups for while. Today, it's not a shock to see interracial couples. Studies show that Black Men, are three times more likely to date/marry outside of their race, than black women. As of late, I've noticed more black women talking about being more open to dating in other ethnic groups. What do we attribute this new found exploration? Is it because women are tired of dealing with the "bs" with Black Men? Is it because they've Black Men doing so much? Is it that they're just trying something new/different? Is it because they realize that there's no reason to limit yourself to love, merely because of ones ethnicity? Whatever the reason is, the numbers of Black Women dating/marrying other ethnic groups, are increasing. What are thoughts about it? Would you date someone of a different ethnic group? Why/Why not? "Darryel's Daily Dialogue....where positive words, manifest positive action."
After an interesting show last week, I felt compelled to do a part two. And that my brothers and sisters, is what happened last week on the show. Let me be clear, this show is not about everyone agreeing, but it is about everyone having respect for each other. What's up with the Conscious community? How do we agree to disagree, while continuing to strive for liberation? Because there is a philosophy difference, does that mean we can't agree on anything?

Can you truly describe yourself in one sentence? How do you determine who to support, and who to vilify? With so much attention been giving to the Nate Parker's rape allegations from years ago, there has been a lot of talk about whether or not people should support the film, Birth of A Nation. This dilemma that people are having about Nate isn't new, there has always been this conundrum amongst people, about whether or not they should support certain artist, entertainers, athletes etc, who have faced certain criminal or moral allegations. Whether it be Bill Cosby, Tupac, Mike Tyson, R. Kelly, Chris Brown, Kobe Bryant, Prince and a host of others, there has always been somewhat of a divide on whether or not the support should stop, due to their personal indiscretions. Even on a more personal level, there are parents who's always preached the "do as I say, not as I do" philosophy. Some people would contend that the message, or entertainment that one provides should not coincide with their personal and moral compass. Others would disagree. What side are you on? Let's talk about it tonight, as we discuss which is more important, the message or the messenger? "Darryel's Daily Dialogue...where positive words, manifest positive action."
It's Presidential election time, and there are many choosing to not exercise their civic duty. What is your position on voting, why do you choose to vote, or to not vote? There are many who are steadfast on not voting, because they dont feel that it affect anything. There are others who feel as though, they have an obligation to vote, bc of the history of the votingrights act etc. Which side are you on? "Darryel's Daily Dialogue...where positive words, manifest positive action."
With the latest news of The U.S. Government paying reparations to France and Holcaust survivors, the topic of Blacks getting reparations is back at the forefront. This discussion has been a hot button topic for years, and many have thoughts about it. It appears that other ethnic groups who have suffered atrocities, are being compensated, are blacks being overlooked? If reparations were to be given, how would distribute it? "Darryel's Daily Dialogue....where positive words, manifest positive action."
