MiraDry is an effective treatment for those suffering from hyperhidrosis - excessive sweating. This FDA procedure is safe and many patients experience immediate relief from excessive underarm sweating. Here at Aesthetic Enhancements our goal is to help patients look as good as they feel - What could feel better than getting rid of embarrassing sweat? If you are tired of ruining another expensive shirt or hiding under loose fitting tops, give our office a call to set up your consultation to see how MiraDry can help you! 407.218.4550 www.drarmandosoto.com
If you suffer from excessive sweat, we have just the solution for you! MiraDry is a safe and lasting procedure that utilizes a special heating and cooling system to effectively eliminate sweat glands. Watch as board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Armando Soto, demonstrates a live MiraDry procedure.
Prior to treatment, the area is cleansed and any deodorant is removed.
Dr. Soto carefully applies a temporary grid tattoo to the patient's underarms.
He carefully removes the grid tattoo. Then places small, precise markings on the grid.
The grid is used as a guide for the treatment area and placement of local anesthetic.
A series of tiny injections are used to numb the underarm treatment area.
After a patient is comfortably numbed, the MiraDry handpiece is applied. Through the use of suction, the MiraDry system is able to gain better access and penetrate the sweat glands.
Dr. Soto follows the grid to deliver electromagnetic energy to the underarm through the hand piece, which is applied in a repeating pattern to the underarm.
Prior to treatment, there are a few steps to take to ensure optimal results from the MiraDry treatment. Treatment time takes about one hour with a recommended series of two MiraDry treatments, spaced at least three months apart. Patients should have slight hair growth in the underarm area to ensure proper treatment. Dr. Soto will give you a detailed list of pre-procedural steps prior to your MiraDry treatment date in order to prepare you for a smooth process and optimal results.
While a moderate amount of swelling and bruising is very common after the MiraDry procedure, the use of ice and pain relievers will help. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.
Keep in mind, the MiraDry procedure is not for everyone. If you are pregnant, nursing, have a pacemaker, or have certain medical conditions you may not be a good candidate for treatment. Please consult with your physician prior to treatment.
Sweat isn't something you have to live with any longer. Don't put up with it, get rid of it! Visit www.drarmandosoto.com for more information or call our office at 407-218-4550 to schedule a consultation.
Having surgery can be stressful, but it doesn't have to be if you are thoroughly prepared. Here at Aesthetic Enhancements Plastic Surgery our goal is to make your surgical experience as worry-free as possible. So we've put together a few tips to help make your recovery period safe, smooth and relaxing.
1. Refrain from certain medications. Prior to surgery, you will be provided with a list of medications and supplements that we ask that you stop taking two weeks before and two weeks after your surgery. This will ensure you minimize your surgical risks. We also offer a supplement kit that has been proven to help reduce your recovery and healing time.
2. Stop smoking. This one is a non-negotionable. Nicotine greatly increases the risks of complications after surgery. This means no cigarettes, nicotine gum or patches before or after your procedure. Dr. Soto wants all of his patients to have safe surgical experiences with beautiful long-lasting results.
3. Obtain any required Pre-Operative Clearance. Depending on your surgery, health history and other factors, Dr. Soto may ask that you have certain pre-operative testing completed prior to your surgery date. Sometimes it may take a week or longer to get an appointment for these tests with your primary care physician, so be sure to plan ahead!
4. Arrange for a caregiver. After your surgery you must have a responsible adult (someone over the age of 18), to care for you. The first 24 hours are the most critical to have someone by your side, but don't underestimate how comforting it will be to have someone run to the kitchen for a cool glass of water when you are still feeling sore a few days out. Don't forget about care for your children and pets. You won't be able to walk your dog the day after your tummy tuck or carry in your groceries after your breast augmentation -- nor should you! Make sure you have someone to assist you with various household tasks. If you do not have someone to help care for you, please contact OUR office for more information on compassionate caretakers that our patients have utilized in the past.
5. Ask for time off from work. Some employers ask for specific forms that must be filled out by your physician. We ask that you allow for 1 business week in order for our office to thoroughly tend to any paperwork your employer may request from us.
6. Fill your prescriptions. On the day of your surgery, be sure to bring all of your prescriptions with you to ensure a more comfortable recovery day.
7. Buy some pre-made meals. Remember to have soups, frozen dinners, and take out dinners on hand. They may be lifesavers when you are just not up to preparing a meal after surgery. Gatorade, fruit juices and other sports drinks are also great to have stocked up.
8. Schedule your routine beauty appointments early. Recovering from your surgery will be your top priority, so make sure if you regularly get your nails and hair done that you schedule your visits prior to your surgery. You will feel much better if you know that your normal beauty regimen is still on track and under control.
9. Prepare your surgery day outfit. This may sound silly, but having a comfortable, loose fitting outfit for surgery day can make things much more comfortable. Remember to stay away from light colored clothing, as there is a chance that they may become stained. A loose fitting dress or sweatpants with a zip up jacket works great for surgery day!
10. Purchase extra surgical garments. We recommend purchasing any extra garments that you might need prior to your surgery date. You will need to stay in some garments up to 6 weeks. You may want to have an extra available for the times when you are laundering your garments. Some may need to be specially ordered, so allow for that extra time.
Dr. Soto and the team at Aesthetic Enhancements Plastic Surgery look forward to helping you look and feel your very best. Call our office today and let us know how we can make your surgical experience as seamless as possible. 407.218.4550

In order to achieve a beautiful, healthy outcome, it is imperative to follow all of Dr. Soto's pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Dr. Soto recommends all of his patients stop smoking prior to any plastic surgery procedure.
Failure to follow these instructions can lead to complications such as infection, poor scarring, the formation of hard scar tissue also known as capsular contracture and wound healing problems, just to name a few.
Dr. Soto recommends his patients stop smoking 3 weeks before and 3 weeks after their elective surgical procedure. Also, avoiding second hand smoke during these periods is very important.
If for any reason, you smoked during the 3 weeks leading up to your surgery it is very important to inform Dr. Soto.
If you have any further questions about smoking before your surgery, call our office and speak to a Nurse today. 407.218.4550.

Eating healthy and hitting the treadmill is now not just the trendy, but smart thing to do. While not everyone is choosing to participate, there are many people that are saying "No" to quarter pounders and "Yes" to salads. Many Americans are shedding those extra pounds through diet and exercise and are eager to show off their slimmer figures.
After achieving the wonderful accomplishment of dramatic weight loss, many are left with unwanted, loose and sagging skin. Unfortunately, this less than desirable appearance can make patients feel self conscious in a way that they have never experienced, despite their victorious weight loss.
What is a Body Lift?
A body lift is a surgical body contouring procedure targeting the removal of excess skin, and is used to lift and tighten the body. This treatment is different from a traditional tummy tuck because it improves the body from a 360 angle. This will ensure that your tummy is flat, your buttocks are lifted resulting in a more perky appearance and any love handles are left behind.
Who is a Good Candidate?
The ideal candidate is someone that has lost a significant amount of weight and has an abundance of excess sagging skin. It is very important for a patient to be at a stable weight prior to having this or any other type of surgery.
Thigh Lifts and Arm Lifts can also be performed to help patients get the body they have worked so hard to achieve.
What kind of Downtime is Involved?
While the results from a body lift will be visible almost immediately, it will take time to fully recuperate. Each patient's recovery time will vary, but generally speaking 4-6 weeks is enough downtime before the patient can resume normal activity.
During this recovery period, it is important to avoid lifting anything that is heavier than 5 pounds. Our elite trained medical staff can teach you ways to go about your day with as minimal inconveniences as possible.
The majority of Dr. Soto's procedures are performed in our AAAASF certified surgical facility, which is just like what you would find in that of a hospital. AAAASF certification means that our operating facility is held to a higher standard and goes above and beyond to ensure the "Golden Standard" for quality patient care.
As with any surgical procedure, it is very important to do your due diligence and trust only a Board certified Plastic surgeon, such as Dr Armando Soto, with your care.
