Description

Eating healthy and hitting the treadmill is now not just the trendy, but smart thing to do. While not everyone is choosing to participate, there are many people that are saying "No" to quarter pounders and "Yes" to salads. Many Americans are shedding those extra pounds through diet and exercise and are eager to show off their slimmer figures.

After achieving the wonderful accomplishment of dramatic weight loss, many are left with unwanted, loose and sagging skin. Unfortunately, this less than desirable appearance can make patients feel self conscious in a way that they have never experienced, despite their victorious weight loss.

What is a Body Lift?
A body lift is a surgical body contouring procedure targeting the removal of excess skin, and is used to lift and tighten the body. This treatment is different from a traditional tummy tuck because it improves the body from a 360 angle. This will ensure that your tummy is flat, your buttocks are lifted resulting in a more perky appearance and any love handles are left behind.

Who is a Good Candidate?
The ideal candidate is someone that has lost a significant amount of weight and has an abundance of excess sagging skin. It is very important for a patient to be at a stable weight prior to having this or any other type of surgery.

Thigh Lifts and Arm Lifts can also be performed to help patients get the body they have worked so hard to achieve.

What kind of Downtime is Involved?
While the results from a body lift will be visible almost immediately, it will take time to fully recuperate. Each patient's recovery time will vary, but generally speaking 4-6 weeks is enough downtime before the patient can resume normal activity.

During this recovery period, it is important to avoid lifting anything that is heavier than 5 pounds. Our elite trained medical staff can teach you ways to go about your day with as minimal inconveniences as possible.

The majority of Dr. Soto's procedures are performed in our AAAASF certified surgical facility, which is just like what you would find in that of a hospital.
