He is also co-owner of Beardos Media and co-host of the Beardos Podcast and consults for faith based organisations. (Recorded in “lockdown life” so please excuse background noises and small people!) Highlights: “The sense of belonging is skewed where sometimes you have the people who are purists I guess, I’m not accepted by some of them here because I don’t look like them.” “The comment statement most of them make quite regularly is, how do I do it?” “The common denominator for all of them is me. The common denominator is Majid.” “The question always arises, if you’re starting up for the first time, you want to go into business you have an idea, you want to make money on the side as well. How far do you push all the other things that you do, because you never know – something that you’ve kept in the background might be a better earner.” “One of the positives about what’s gone on is people have gotten to understand there are more options open now” “If you don’t practice what you believe in, then what you believe in is not important.” More from Majid: Find and follow Majid on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MajidWarisOnline Subscribe to Majid’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/MajidWaris Check out Majid’s podcast: https://www.facebook.com/BeardosMedia/
It feels right and proper to let James Orpin introduce himself in some quotation marks here… “Hey I’m James, lover of all the F’s Family, Food, Fitness and Fun (oh and the word F*ck) I'm one of the creators of Fat loss and LOLS Our mission is to show mums how to ditch fat and get fit in a FUN & SIMPLE way.” I’d say that sums James up pretty accurately. But you’ll find out in this episode just what that all means, why James and his business partner Bjorn aren’t your usual online fatloss coaches, why simple always works and being clever doesn’t always and, not forgetting, you’ll get to hear examples of the special messages he likes to send me. Oh and if you get to the end, you’ll hear a proper treat as we sign off. I’ll let you discover that. Highlights: “So now it’s just focusing on making things very simple and it has to be fun, or at the very least not suck a bag of d*cks.” “There’s no one way is better, but we find for our client base it has to be simple.” “Our people don’t want to be shredded and stand up on stage. They just want to feel better. That’s it.” “This is what we want for everyone else is to have this feeling of normality.” “What we learned is that if we can get them taking action first, rather than telling them how it all works, we’ll drop it in why it’s important, but without going into the deep science of it all.” More from James: Find and follow James on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/james.orpin.520/ Give James’s Facebook page a like: https://www.facebook.com/fatlossnlols Check out James on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamesfatlossnlols/

Their market is very fast-growing, and Podcast Your Brand is uniquely positioned to disrupt the entire industry with its unique approach to generating guaranteed ROI for their clients. They’ve worked with household names like Procter and Gamble. And also smaller emerging brands that they help rapidly accelerate in their category. In this episode we discuss what it takes to run a successful agency, the power of podcasting and how being an expert and agency owner work hand in hand. Plus how one-off events can cause a snowball in your success as an expert business owner. Highlights: “How can we solve it before they even ask it?” “What’s their podcast strategy? How does that correlate to their main business? Does it?” “Instead of trying to build the biggest and baddest show and have the most reach and have the most downloads and the best numbers and the highest vanity – how can we actually go super deep?” “If you’re considering having a podcast, I would also look at… have you been creating content? I don’t think podcasting should be a first channel for a lot of experts. I think you need to be in some rhythm, have written some blogs, have done a few videos.” “If I go all out right now, how far can I go? Shabnam (not into woo) Rajah uses the magic of science to unf*ck minds and propel you into another universe* in life and business. (*Figuratively, not literally) While some may tell you that Shabnam has mystical powers, the wonderful woman herself will tell you that she uses a mix of scientifically proven results to delve deep into your brain and sort out the shit that’s holding you back. Not one for taking all the credit, Shabnam will tell you that it’s as much about the work you put in and the willingness to change that makes it successful. There are no magic wands or praying to the universe, and the only woo you’ll get is the use of mindfulness, meditation and some hypnotherapy to get you on your way to kick ass business person. You’ll be ready to take the world by storm (or at the very least, ready and willing to move forward from the quagmire of shit you’re stagnated in) while you leave the past behind and look to a brighter, much less miserable future. In this episode we talk a lot about mindset, what really holds us back and the many different ways we all deal with the trauma that life throws at us and how we bounce back. Highlights: “I’m not sitting there waiting for them to get to the eureka moment when I can see where they need to go.” “Why would you even have a business if money wasn’t one of the things that you want to make? Otherwise you can go and be a good Samaritan and do it for f*cking free.” “If I had a head issue or an emotional issue, I would only go to someone who I know who had their shit together.” “I think it’s very important to share openly and honestly what you’re going through.” “You don’t have to be like a very manufactured, polished version of something to be a leader or to be a professional.” More from Shabnam: Find and follow Shabnam on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100005992784881 Check out Shabnam on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/shabnamrajah/ Join the Expert Focus community on Facebook for bonuses, exclusives and excellent jokes (well that’s for you to decide). Sam Bearfoot is known for her outspoken style and zero f*cks attitude online hence why she calls herself the Leader of the Zero F*cks Squad. The moment you see her name pop up in your feed, you will expect either an F bomb, something hilarious or hard hitting facts and if you’re real lucky you’ll get all 3 at the same time. That is the vibe this Lady gives off and people love her for it. Sam has been in the online space for the past 14yrs with the first 10yrs within the health industry. During that time, she discovered that marketing your business online wasn’t as easy as all the gurus made out and you are definitely not taught how to do these things when you first step out with your new business. She closed her successful health business because Motherhood stepped into the arena but she followed straight up with turning her attention to helping others release their inner business badass. She is that no nonsense coach you wish you had met a long time ago. She keeps it super real regardless of who that might offend because telling it how it actually is rather than sugar coating it is the cornerstone of her brand. In this episode we go all in on our thoughts on social media, showing up as your real self online and other marvellous digressions (plus top tips on Instagram, TikTok and even Twitter if you’re into that kind of thing). Highlights: “I understand content. I understand social platforms. I’m probably at the point where I understand algorithms because I’ve been on social media for such a long time.” “The amount of times I hear from people that want to learn about Instagram and they say “yeah but everybody else’s feed looks pretty and mine looks shit”. And I’m like well actually that really doesn’t matter.” “What happens is they come over to Instagram from Facebook, but with their Facebook brain engaged, and actually they’re two quite different platforms. And if you post on Instagram in the same way that you would post on Facebook then it will fail every time.” “People like to see the person. They like to understand who you are. People buy from people – this is nothing new.” “If you’re not showcasing who you are, you’re not interesting. Sometimes it’s good to get guests to describe themselves in their own way. So that’s what Craig Barlow did, and this is what he said: “Inappropriate, potty-mouthed ex-sailor, loves adventures, tequila and getting naked on mountains. Enjoys poking and provoking people and general disruption and sarcasm. Oh yeah, I also help men rediscover their purpose, clarity, focus, direction and core confidence/courage balls.” Beautiful huh? And really that’s all you need to know. So let’s crack on shall we? ;) Highlights: “As a man I’m a big believer in that men need other men to be around.” “The Naked Mountain Man is almost the stripped back, it’s like there’s nothing to hide, nothing to prove, you’re just stripped back” “It was all from fun and play and that for me is like so f*cking important.” “Part of my job is, in a very broad way, is to not allow people get away with their own bullsh*t.” “Is that you? I like that. Host of the “Sorry I Offended You” podcast, Brandon helps people to show up authentically and attract an audience by being disruptive on organic social media. Highlights: “My aim is to really aim at what truly helps my ideal client and if people get offended along the way then so be it.” “The best thing about owning that you’re a bit offensive is that you’re not gonna have someone join in a mastermind that you hold and then all of a sudden they see a post that is offensive and that goes against their expectation of you.” “I think sometimes big leaping is glorified.” “The people who are rubbing your face in the dirt and assassinating your character, they’re not even gonna know who the f*ck you are a month later.” “Post that sh*t unfiltered, don’t apologise for it, don’t try to soften the blow, just throw it out there. Who would wave goodbye to household names and a successful digital marketing agency to start a brand new business? In 2017, Helen Pritchard did exactly that and began training entrepreneurs, coaches and businesses in LinkedIn lead generation. A year later, sales for her LinkedIn Mastermind alone totalled nearly £218k. In 2019, she hit the £1 million turnover mark. In her two short years in business, Helen has reached hundreds of thousands of business owners with her training and won an Enterprise Vision Award in the Internet Industry category. Over 10,000 people have taken part in her famous free 5-day challenges in 2019, and she aims to quadruple that figure in 2020. A single mum of two girls, Helen has proven that dropping the BS excuses and just sitting down and doing the work gets you results. She’s become known for her no-nonsense approach and now mentors others who want to replicate her success. When Helen was last on the show (see episode 12), we talked a lot about LinkedIn. And this time we’re not. We are talking about how Helen has famously achieved several 6 figure launches (including 1 during the Coronavirus lockdown) and her first 7 figure year. What it really takes, why it’s led by a simple set of principles and how easy it is to overcomplicate. Plus we discuss what it takes to create the systems, structure and team in the background to support success. Highlights: “When you do a BETA, as we call it, people should know and be totally on board with the fact that it’s not gonna be the finished polished article.” “If you’re trying to shortcut it, you’re missing the point.” “People want to see you live and people want to see you giving up the most precious commodity of all, which is your time and your knowledge.” “It’s the process. And understanding the process is where you win, because you then get to repeat it again and again and again.” “Get some real clarity on setting those goals and working out how many of your thing you’ve got to sell to hit them.” More from Helen: Follow Helen on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LinkedInLeadGen Follow Helen on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/helenpritchardonline/ Connect with Helen on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/helenpritchard/ Join the Expert Focus community on Facebook for bonuses, exclusives and excellent jokes (well that’s for you to decide). Welcome to the Expert Focus Podcast hosted by the vivacious Claire Dowdall. Claire’s guest is a government-protesting ballerina, who had come back from the dead at the tender age of nineteen. Monique Lindner has traveled all across the world to see and experience all different types of culture. She describes her parents were born and lived behind the wall in East Germany and were not allowed to travel even outside of their hometowns let alone around the world, until the wall came down, and so her traveling frightened them. On a twelve hour flight from Cambodia to Germany, she broke down into tears because she realized she did not want to go back to Germany, her job, or her life there. In this episode, Claire discusses what led Monique to the profession of team managing, leadership, and coaching. She discovered she had a unique talent/perspective on neurobehavioral skills and time management. It was a different approach for high performance. She fell into mindset mastery. Interestingly all of these things tie together. Listen for more about: “The Laptop Lifestyle.” Romanticized version of working for yourself/entrepreneurship/working from home Possibility of achieving balance Initial blocks that get in the way of success and how to remove them. Our core craves structures and routines.” “I’ve been there, it was cool, and then I died.” “Just because you come to me, doesn't mean I’m the right person to help. Welcome to The Expert Focus Podcast hosted by the online community building beast Claire Dowdall. Each week Claire brings on expert guests to share their knowledge in their field as well as share universal truths about the business world. Each guest is unique and shares their own experience lending tips and strategies along the way. This is no ordinary business podcast. Claire’s questions are strategic and offer great insight. The Expert Focus Podcast is a relaxed and conversational podcast. Claire is not just a pretty face and she’s not your conjured up version of a marketer either. Grab a notebook. You’re going to want to take notes. In this episode, Claire is joined by her guest the internationally recognized visibility strategist, Juliette Stapleton. Juliette is known as the queen of visibility. She comes from a background in digital marketing and web design. At the beginning of 2017, Juliet found herself in an uncomfortable position in a small town supporting less than ideal clients. It was at that time she decided to take more control and to build the Juliette Stapleton brand using Facebook. Her first online show was called EZ Chat created by developing very strategic online relationships. During this show, her visibility increased and she positioned herself for more growth. From there she began and became a part of different types of online communities. Building an online business takes: Ingenuity Good energy Confidence Networking Passion Knowledge Authenticity Online is a global network with little to no confines Juliette weighs in on the fear that keeps people from using the Facebook live option or simply showing up: Fear of judgement Typically not from others in the industry, but family/friends Commitment is necessary You must take action Who am I to talk about this? What if someone tries to discredit me? It's easier to talk about personal development and motivation. It’s more difficult to talk about your expertise. “I am so passionate about empowering you.” “It turns out that I have the energy that people just transform with the light of my energy.” “If she’s doing it, it’s not an impossible act.” “If I want to change it, I will. Just as long as I deliver.” “If things change, people change, I want to be able to pivot to what they need.” “Being online gives you more opportunity to [adapt].” “When we do Facebook lives or video we need to reinforce who we are.” “The journey can be painful, but it’s brilliant.” “If you’re not finding ways to enjoy it then you won’t show up consistently. It’s being consistent that people struggle the most with.” “You have to do whatever it takes.” Claire's LinkedIn Profile The Expert Focus Facebook Group The Expert Focus podcast on iTunes Juliette's Website Juliette's LinkedIn Profile Juliette's Facebook Profile Juliette's YouTube Channel
Welcome to The Expert Focus Podcast hosted by the friendly and feisty entrepreneur Claire Dowdall. Each week Claire brings on extraordinary guests, who are experts in their field, to talk about their businesses, tactics, strategies, successes, failures, and funny anecdotes along the way. Claire is a successful author, coach, and social media specialist and she is serious about helping others on their entrepreneurial journey. She asks fun, but pointed questions that you might not get an answer to somewhere else. Her intro says she’s fierce, but really she’s just a woman on fire bringing you successful entrepreneurs to learn from. In this episode, Claire invites Jodee Peevor, the managing director of Online & Totally fabulous, to the show. Jodee has made a career out of helping solopreneurs confidently launch their online businesses. She has fourteen years experience and is still excited about every project. The ladies discuss Kajabi and how it allows Jodee to get peaceful rest by managing her business there. Jodee, calls herself a lady-geek admitting that she loves coding, but also loves branding. She’s a great combination or left and right brain in business. Over the entire episode these women give a stellar Kajabi review. Claire and Jodee talk about the differences in heart centered and transactional people. Heart centered Wants to change the world Have a message that they want to share Money is a bonus Driven by the message Transactional Money first Changing the world is a bonus Driven by the bottom line Industries Jodee works in: Health Energy Healers Meditative people Gifted people Just because you’re gifted doesn’t mean give it away Claire and Jodee take a slight detour to talk about pricing strategies when starting a business. How do you react to things monetarily? If you do something at a low budget it will usually be a terrible experience. When you value yourself, by charging what your service is worth, you are more respected both as a business and for the process. Investment tends to make clients care more. Refine the process Quick wins Build-in achievements Content How you frame it Open a loop and close a loop Assessments Portals Can have a portal for every client “I have a rule and that rule is: if I don't want to invite you home to have dinner with my family, I don’t want to work with you.” “It’s so easy for me, I can’t possibly charge!” “Every time I do a favor for someone I regret it.” “I build beautiful online business.” “I asked the universe to send the right kind of people.” “Everyone came with an open heart. You’re an expert who wants to learn for experts. You are in the right place! Welcome to the Expert Focus Podcast hosted by the lovely Claire Dowdall. Claire is an entrepreneur, a coach, a podcast host, and a social media marketing expert. During each episode of this podcast, Claire invites different experts and specialist to share their stories. You’re not just going to get the pretty side of it either. That’s what makes this entrepreneurial podcast different. Claire and her guest talk about blunder, mistakes, and successes. Because of this, you can relate more to what you’re hearing! In this episode, Claire talks with Rachel Gilmore NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) coach and Transformational Travel Leader. As a Transformational Travel Leader, Rachel gathers those who need to make changes in their life and takes them on a seven to ten-day coaching journey away from “life” which allows the time and place for the embodiment of what they’re learning. Allowing people to take a moment to be healthily selfish and create a more solid foundation. What can put someone in a place to take this step? Typically a catalyst or an internal calling results in this type of journey. Rachel experienced a breakdown in her life around ten years ago because she wasn’t loving herself and she felt like she had to do too many things. She was working out of fear. She admits to contemplating suicide after her brother’s death. She realized that she had a purpose to get her life back on track and began working with coaches and taking classes. Her purpose became to love herself and teach others how to do the same. She explains that it took three years working on herself. We can not give to others from an empty well. Who does Rachel work with? Entrepreneurs Small business owners People who have said I’m here for more than just making money People who want to make a difference in the world/give back People who are looking to go to the next level What is NLP? Reprogramming of the subconscious mind Habits Conditions Patterns Reframing your thoughts Many different modalities Foundations Mental Physical Emotional Spiritual Shift through the process in order to achieve goals Create a report with the conscious and subconscious mind Rachel recommends her clients start their mornings in the following ways, starting with the gratitude journal and incorporating more like an organic process: Write a gratitude journal Breathing techniques (Wim Hof) Pray Set an intention for the day Write down goals Workout Most people with huge ability are blocked by their own mindset. School doesn’t teach anyone how to manage their emotions or mindset and we have to learn this as adults. It is an absolute obstacle in business. It’s also possible that people have a lot of book-knowledge, they know they need to make a change, but struggle to put it into practice and get stuck. Putting the mindset change into practice is what truly counts. It’s daily, an intentional practice that gets us closer to changing our lives. When people allow themselves to go away and intensively work on themselves the first thing we have to do is get to the point of having fun. Sounds silly, but as adults, we are constantly thinking of our to-do lists and things we need to do back home, but once we’re not thinking of those things and relax we begin to let walls down, be vulnerable, and deep dive. Where can someone make a simple start working on themselves? Awareness of the voice in your head - running the show Journal Set a timer to pay attention to your thoughts Observe yourself What brings you the most joy? Whatever it is . . . do it! We have to change the energy! “People struggle with putting themselves first in that way to take themselves away.” “When people begin to work on themselves, falling in love with themselves and see their worth and know that their purpose, their calling in life has been given to them for them to bring to the world and that they're worthy of bringing that to the world they are more apt to take that time.” “Everything started healing.” “I started realizing what I’m worth.” “Traveling is a whole new level of transformation.” “Doing is what we’ve been programmed to do. We have to hustle.” “Alignment is about connecting with yourself and your purpose.” “Attain an elevated state.” “I am the creator of my life.” “Watch that voice in your mind. If it’s not getting close to your visions, goals, or dreams put a hard stop to it.” Claire's LinkedIn Profile The Expert Focus Facebook Group The Expert Focus podcast on iTunes Rachel's LinkedIn Profile Rachel's Website Rachel's Facebook Profile

He and his wife will work tirelessly to provide their clients with social media and video presence as well as coaching, step by step goals, website building, free templating, emails, e-books and anything else one could possibly need. A lot of time people in business feel like they must have a certain mindset or must appear a certain way; however, when we are honest about ourselves we conduct better business. Cookie cutter business people don’t make long-lasting connections with clients and partners. In Danny’s opinion, the “image” some convey on social media is all due to insecurity. It is that insecurity that breeds the lies that can be discovered so easily online. He says often, in the beginning, he would write a list of his mess ups both the tiny and ginormous and post them for people to read. Legitimately everything. Sharing the journey brings people with you. Danny also shares a great story of traveling with his family to Europe, escaping the most terrifying moment of his life, and an embarrassing story about defecating in a bush. “I want to do what I want to do.” “Pour yourself into your brand.” “Sell the truth.” “It might be bad for business . . . I don't care.” - in regards to sharing the struggles “Some people don’t reach their potential because they’re scared to be found out.” “We all have good and bad traits and when we share them we connect.” “A lot of people are afraid to share because they don’t want to look bad. It doesn't work like that.” “Be all that you are because you are enough.” Claire's LinkedIn Profile The Expert Focus Facebook Group The Expert Focus podcast on iTunes Buy Danny and Liz's book here VIP Life Website VIP Life YouTube Channel
