Having free, safe, open spaces makes all the difference in our lives to know that we can freely speak what's on our mind free of judgement. It is extremely important for us to be able to find those spaces. Here I interviewed Michael Scholtles and he discuses his own journey on being able to find that space in his faith. Being okay with our diagnosis and getting to a doctor to even be diagnosed is the first place is one of the most crucial pieces in our mental health journey. If we do not know what is going on with us, it makes it that much harder to figure out what it is that we need and how we can obtain help. In this episode I interviewed Steve Wilson on his journey of his bipolar diagnosis. In this episode we dive into the conclusion we draw when we are at our lowest points and how we truly lean on the people around us to pull us out of that darkness. I had the pleasure of interviewing Will Samson, the host of Mission Driven You, as he explains what he has gone through in his own recovery process. https://willsamson.com Resources: Substance Abuse: https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/national-helpline SAMHSA’s National Helpline, 1-800-662-HELP (4357) Alcoholics Anonymous  https://www.aa.org  Church Info: https://dmvicc.org Therapy Resources: https://therapyforblackmen.org https://therapyforblackgirls.com https://www.psychologytoday.com/us https://www.betterhelp.com
Being vulnerable is something none of us look forward to doing, we don't want to be perceived as weak or expose ourselves to getting hurt. At some points it is indeed necessary to truly let people in so that we can indeed we can get the help we need and deserve. I had the great pleasure of interviewing Kevin Palmieri of Next Level University where he shares his own personal experiences on being vulnerable. https://open.spotify.com/show/5SDGgQSRRaoCcWbnToL6o9?si=f83d30f95e4c444f Resources: Suicide Hotline: https://988lifeline.org Number: 988 Church Info: https://www.youtube.com/@dmvicc Therapy Resources: https://therapyforblackmen.org https://therapyforblackgirls.com https://www.psychologytoday.com/us https://www.betterhelp.com
