In this illuminating episode of Forging Fluidity, hosts Savannah Wishart and Griffin Coombs dive deep into the intriguing world of human design—a pseudoscientific system blending astrology, ancient philosophies, and quantum mechanics. With refreshing vulnerability, they explore how this complex framework offers a radical pathway to self-acceptance and understanding personal energy dynamics.Drawing from their own journeys of skepticism and curiosity, Savannah and Griffin break down the core principles of human design, exploring the five distinct human types and their unique strategies for navigating life. Griffin, a projector, and Savannah, a manifesting generator, share personal insights into how understanding their design has provided profound permission to embrace their authentic selves. The conversation delves into the nuanced world of human energy types, highlighting how different profiles interact and complement each other. Griffin provides a particularly compelling exploration of the projector type, describing them as modern guides who offer wisdom and perspective. He challenges traditional work paradigms, emphasizing that projectors are meant to provide insight rather than endless labor, with their value lying in the quality of understanding rather than hours worked.A fascinating aspect of their discussion centers on decision-making and emotional authority. For Savannah, as a manifesting generator with emotional authority, this means taking 24 hours to ride the emotional wave before making significant decisions. The hosts illustrate how human design offers a compassionate framework for understanding personal energy cycles, challenging conventional productivity narratives and mental health labels.Ultimately, the episode serves as a passionate argument for self-acceptance, encouraging listeners to view human design not as a rigid system, but as a liberating tool for understanding personal energy, breaking free from societal conditioning, and giving oneself permission to be authentically unique.---CONNECT WITH US!Griffin Coombs @griffin.coombs /thenorthstarbody.comSavannah Wishart @primalrevolutions  /primalrevolution.comGriffin is a movement and breathing coach based in Tangier, Morocco, dedicated to helping people redefine and explore their approach to fitness and physical well-being. In this thought-provoking episode of Forging Fluidity, hosts Savannah Wishart and Griffin Coombs explore the delicate balance between exerting control and surrendering to life's unpredictability. They dive into the concept of "locus of control" - understanding what aspects of life we can genuinely influence versus what lies beyond our reach. With refreshing honesty, they acknowledge the tension between the American ideal of "grabbing life by the horns" and the more fluid approach of "trusting the process."Savannah, a self-love expert and fine art photographer, shares her journey from resistance to acceptance of the "trust the process" philosophy, highlighting how rigid planning can block unexpected opportunities. Griffin, a body awareness and breathing expert, offers practical wisdom from his experience as an educator, introducing a simple yet powerful exercise of drawing a circle to distinguish between what lies within and outside our control. The hosts present a nuanced approach to goal-setting, differentiating between "means goals" (actions we can control) and "end goals" (outcomes dependent on external factors). They emphasize the importance of maintaining personal integrity while releasing attachment to outcomes involving others' responses. Their conversation naturally flows into exploring how authentic self-expression attracts genuine connections and how establishing emotional boundaries supports healthy relationships.Ultimately, this episode serves as a grounded guide to finding equilibrium - exercising agency in areas we can control while practicing surrender in those we cannot. The hosts leave listeners with an invitation to greater self-awareness through clearly identifying their own circles of control and aligning their actions with their core values.---CONNECT WITH US!Griffin Coombs @griffin.coombs /thenorthstarbody.comSavannah Wishart @primalrevolutions  /primalrevolution.comGriffinis a movement and breathing coach based in Tangier, Morocco, dedicated to helping people redefine and explore their approach to fitness and physical well-being. In this thought-provoking episode of Forging Fluidity, hosts Savannah Wishart and Griffin Coombs tackle the complex interplay between relatability and authenticity. Beginning with Savannah's humbling yet successful snowmobiling experience, the conversation evolves into a deeper exploration of how past challenges—both chosen and unchosen—build resilience that transfers to new endeavors. The hosts thoughtfully examine the spectrum of relatability in professional contexts, particularly on social media. They identify three distinct approaches: those who showcase their capabilities ("peacocking"), those who position themselves as experts, and those who emphasize relatability through vulnerability. Their nuanced discussion reveals how different coaching styles attract different audiences, especially in fields requiring emotional vulnerability like fitness, self-love coaching, and Savannah's fine art photography.Griffin suggests that people may connect more deeply with someone on a visible journey of growth rather than with a seemingly perfect expert. This leads to reflections on intuition and self-awareness as foundations for authentic decision-making. The conversation highlights research on the vagus nerve's role in intuitive capabilities, with Griffin candidly acknowledging his own inconsistency in practicing what he preaches. The episode concludes with practical advice for developing intuition: taking walks without distractions, sitting in silence, and approaching one's thoughts with curiosity and compassion. Throughout, Savannah and Griffin model the vulnerability they discuss, offering insights from their expertise while honestly acknowledging they're still figuring things out themselves.---CONNECT WITH US!Griffin Coombs @griffin.coombs /thenorthstarbody.comSavannah Wishart@primalrevolutions  /primalrevolution.comGriffinis a movement and breathing coach based in Tangier, Morocco, dedicated to helping people redefine and explore their approach to fitness and physical well-being. Drawing from their personal journeys and professional expertise, they challenge conventional approaches to psychological wellbeing by emphasizing the fundamental connection between physical and mental health. The hosts explore how our modern environment has created conditions where natural physiological responses are often pathologized and over-diagnosed, particularly in children. What do you want to take for granted in your life? In this episode of The Forging Fluidity Podcast, hosts Griffin Coombs and Savannah Wishart share their personal journeys of living abroad and navigating reverse culture shock upon returning to the United States. Speaking from Beverly, Massachusetts, and Bellingham, Washington, respectively, we draw on our time in countries like Morocco, Sweden, and Portugal to examine how culture shapes our values, habits, and social norms. Today we explore themes like work-life balance, coffee culture, and the conveniences we often take for granted. We discuss the transformative power of stepping outside one’s cultural “jar” to gain perspective - “You can’t read the label from inside the jar,” to highlight how living abroad reshaped our views of home... wherever that home may be, geographically. Our conversation dives into the challenges of re-integrating into U.S. culture, including reconnecting with social circles and navigating differing values. Closing out, we want to leave you with a thought-provoking reflection on the subtle choices we make about the assumptions and comforts we want to hold onto in our daily lives. Our question to you: What elements, values, people, or other variables would you like to take for granted in your life? Join us as we reconnect, reflect, and forge a path toward a more authentic and integrated life. Re-Launching Forging Fluidity: Embracing Authenticity and Integrity In this highly anticipated comeback episode after nearly two years, Savannah Wishart, a self-love expert and fine art photographer, and Griffin Coombs, a body awareness and breathwork coach, reunite in Bellingham, Washington. Today, we delve deeply into the power of authenticity and integrity in every facet of our lives. We explore the common conditioning that drives us to work tirelessly in our professional lives, yet often neglect the same commitment to personal growth and self-care. In a world where “work” is often viewed with resistance, we find ourselves compartmentalizing different aspects of life, rather than integrating them. This disconnect leaves us struggling with balance and, ultimately, fulfillment. But how can we uphold our core values in a way that seamlessly flows through our daily experiences? The key is to remain true to ourselves. As coaches, we help people evolve by guiding them toward becoming their best versions, which often involves shedding the excess that clouds their authentic self. It's not about adding more layers, but removing the distractions that obscure our inner clarity. At the heart of this exploration is the question: "Who are you when no one is watching?" By reflecting on this, we uncover the roots that foster a more integrated, authentic existence. In this season’s opening episode, we also dive into Griffin’s inaugural mountain biking adventure, where he demonstrates the power of breathwork in maintaining a calm, balanced nervous system—living proof of the principles we teach. Join us as we reconnect, reflect, and forge a path toward a more authentic and integrated life. --- CONNECT WITH US! Almost five years into a friendship forged across oceans, Griffin and Savannah finally met in person in Tangier, Morocco. In Episode 8, we have physically united to record our first episode in the same room, and on the same microphone! With a week and a half together in Morocco, we both got hit with some kind of virus or wind-swept sinus allergy - while feeling pressure to do all the things within the scope of the limited time we have together, it was an opportunity to listen to our bodies. There is often temptation to dive into moments like this as if they are a "once in a lifetime" experience. But - we strived to balance a healthy amount of low-intensity exploration, fun photo shoots, good food, and plenty of rest. We reflect on the idea that cramming a full agenda into travel can often be more stressful than the daily lives that we are choosing to "vacation" from. As we dive deeper into our conversation, we explore navigating coaching and serving clients from a place of having had to heal ourselves. With both of our backgrounds, we have come from imperfect places - whether physically or mentally. Rather than specifically intending to become coaches, we both worked hard to improve our lives on a personal level - and later, realized how powerful our growth has been in our lives, and elevated our practices to support others to heal their lives. Instead of following a cookie cutter coaching method, we prefer to pull from a variety of disciplines, create an organically varied practice, and make it our own. We recognize there is no "right" way that fits everyone, but combine a broad range of interests together. YOUR INVITATION: Each episode, we invite you to go deeper. Cuz, really, what is inspiration if not backed by action? Grab your notebook and dig in: With today's episode, we invite you to get curious about what labels you are identifying with that might be limiting your growth. Where are these labels holding you back from taking personal responsibility for actions that may be negatively impacting both yourself and others? Today we’re ruminating on the unexpected possibilities that come to the surface when we’re so fed up with trying to maintain some amount of control in our lives, and instead throw our hands in the air with an exasperated declaration of “fuck it.”  As a tribute to taking this liberating stance, today’s episode is completely unedited and uncut - stumbling and fumbling our way against perfectionism. We share some shifts of perspective from our lives, stepping out of a scarcity mindset and into a space of expansive abundance. YOUR INVITATION: Each episode, we invite you to go deeper. Cuz, really, what is inspiration if not backed by action? With today's episode, we invite you to feel into curiosity about something you're afraid to do. First, we invite you to weave this positive affirmation into your mindset: I am worth being pursued.  Second - grab a journal, boil a pot of tea, and let's dive in - Ask yourself: how do I want to support myself?  This may be monetarily related to how you want to support yourself; or perhaps it is related to how you nourish your body, mind, or emotional health. If you are afraid to do something - ask yourself: am I really afraid of being a failure, or am I actually afraid of being successful? And if that feels difficult to access, start with a visualization. Close your eyes and invite your imagination.  What would this feel like if this went the way I want it to go? What would it feel like to get what I’m after? If this brings in anxiety/fear/a rush of “oh my god this is soooo scary” - return to that original question: Am I afraid of failing or the responsibility that comes with success? Today we circle back to the intention we shared in our Pilot Episode: sharing with vulnerability the truth that as coaches, we don't hold all of the answers. We peel back feelings of resistance behind a shared opportunity, as well as individual experiences within our separate lives.  In our follow-up conversation off script, we joked: "We are always elevating our lives with a commitment to do measurably hard things, and yet, here we are becoming paralyzed by a closet of clothes." These are the moments that humble us, infused with a playful willingness to laugh at seemingly silly glitches in our imperfect human experience.  True to our theme of resistance, it took several weeks to publish this episode. Hey, what can we say - sometimes we need a taste of our own medicine.  Resistance can show up in a variety of ways. It might look like self-doubt and self-imposed limitations. Perhaps it feels like fear and procrastination - as if your entire body is avoiding "eye contact" with life itself.  YOUR INVITATION: Each episode, we invite you to go deeper. With today's episode, we invite you to get curious about areas in your life where you're procrastinating or avoiding. Grab a journal, boil a pot of tea, and let's dive in - Does whatever I'm resisting feel like fear or trepidation?  What am I holding onto that I'm afraid to release?  Are my fears coming from a scarcity mindset? If yes, how can I shift the mental narrative to be more abundant? Is what I'm resisting in alignment with my values, or is the resistance a sign that moving forward will move me out of integrity? What happens when you remove sexual contexts, cultural stigmas, & social judgments from nudity? Today we talk about how to lean into the natural way of being a naked, primal human, diving beneath the surface of Savannah’s nude photography & self portraiture work. When we consciously remove the layers of clothing from our body with intention, it allows us to begin a process to remove emotional layers from the mind. By creating self awareness around our body image & shifting the way we relate to ourselves, we open a path of potential for elevated emotional, mental, & physical well-being.  We touch on mental health & body dysmorphia, & how viewing ourselves - literally - through another lens, can show us an alternate & uncommon perspective of how our body looks.  Taking nakedness beyond the mirror, we expand on our need as humans to connect with nature on a skin-deep level, with an "Earthing" practice.  Find Savannah's nude work at The Beast Goddess.  YOUR INVITATION: Each episode, we invite you to go deeper. With today's episode, your invitation is to dip your toes into mirror work. Create some space for stillness, drop into your body, & come face to face with your reflection. Sit with your imperfections. In the beginning, it's normal to experience feelings of discomfort. The intention is that over time, those feelings will shift into acceptance, & eventually transform into self-love.  If this is new for you, allow yourself to lean into curiosity. Today, we shine a light on the background of how we chose our name, “Forging Fluidity” - for us, a way to honour the polarities that exist between the Masculine & Feminine, & how the energies show up in our lives. As we go deeper into the layers of masculine & feminine, we explore how discipline & structure create a foundation for freedom & flow - referencing Mike Fitch’s ideology that “structure gives us freedom”; & Jocko Willink’s concept that “discipline equals freedom.” Living in a modern world that celebrates encourages the “hustle & grind” culture that so often leads to burnout & illness, how do we find harmony in maintaining a front-sight focus that has freedom to evolve as we grow? That harmony is easiest to achieve when the energies are woven together, rather than bouncing between extremes. When we take the time to carve out a conscious space to initiate an honest re-evaluation of our goals, it is an act of extreme courage - because many of us do not live in social circles where growth is encouraged or celebrated. To take personal responsibility has two sides: sometimes it means maintaining the discipline to stay true to the path you are walking; other times it means having the wisdom to know when it’s time to recalibrate your compass & pivot. YOUR INVITATION: Each episode, we invite you to go deeper. Create some space for stillness, drop into your body, & ask yourself: What words come to mind when I think of masculine & feminine? How do those energies show up in my daily life? Am I swinging a pendulum between two extremes? If yes - how can I begin to weave them together in my daily life, so that I don’t feel an urge to “escape” my life? Want to go deeper?
