This week, my mom and I are answering a question from a listener: how do I adjust to my life looking and feeling different now that I'm sober? My weekends are quieter, holidays feel different, socializing feels different, and I used to be the "party girl". My mom and I answer this question and share tips and reminders on navigating this "messy middle" of sobriety. If you've let alcohol go but you haven't quite adjusted to your new sober life, this episode is for you! Staying connected to our "why" is one of the best things we can do for ourselves in sobriety, and the great thing about our "why" is that it gets to grow and expand as we get further on our sober journey! But just like anything else in life, sobriety can ebb and flow. Sometimes we go through periods where we're feeling a little disconnected from our "why" or not as motivated in our sobriety. This episode is here to give you a hit of sober inspiration and to help keep you connected to your why!Join my community, the Happiest Sober HubSubscribe to my newsletter for sober tips & inspoWatch my sober vlogsShop my sober mugsFollow me on InstagramShop my Amazon storefrontShopMy favourite thingsIf my content has helped you on your sober journey and you'd like to support my work, you can buy me a coffee! Thanks for supporting my podcast by supporting my sponsors - you can view my list of current sponsors here.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week, I'm chatting about something that I've heard many people struggling with lately, and that I also struggled with in my first couple years of sobriety. And that is: feeling disappointed in yourself and like it's a "failure" if you have moments of missing alcohol and wanting to drink. I share some reminders to help us return to the truth that having these moments is an inevitable part of getting sober. And rather than view them as a failure, we can reframe them as a sober WIN.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
This week my mom is joining me for a chat about alllll the things we have started doing to practice being more PRESENT in our lives. For example, going on walks without headphones, putting phone boundaries in place, and even breaking up with my (beloved) to-do lists. This episode isn't specifically about sobriety, but as with most of life and growth, it always relates back to sobriety!!!Join my community, the Happiest Sober HubSubscribe to my newsletter for sober tips & inspoWatch my sober vlogsShop my sober mugsFollow me on InstagramShop my Amazon storefrontShopMy favourite thingsIf my content has helped you on your sober journey and you'd like to support my work, you can buy me a coffee! This week I'm sharing all my takeaways with you from the book "The Power of Fun: How To Feel Alive Again" by Catherine Price, where she talks all about reconnecting to TRUE fun as adults. Spoiler alert: it doesn't come from alcohol! In this episode I share how we can use the tips from this book to help us rediscover our sense of fun in sobriety. If you've recently gotten sober and you feel like you don't know how to have fun anymore without drinking, you don't want to miss this one!

This week I'm chatting in depth about what I think is one of the most helpful mindset shifts in sobriety: handing over the future to our future selves and choosing to trust that our future selves will be able to handle it. I expand even more on how we can use this perspective in sobriety and in any challenges life throws our way!

When we first get sober, sobriety is SO all consuming. It's something we have to work so hard at, and it can often become our new obsession (in a healthy way!). But many of us then reach the point where we no longer have to think hard about not drinking. It just becomes normal life. This episode is for anyone who has gotten to that point in their sobriety and might be asking the question: now what?

Since getting sober, do you notice that you're very "all or nothing" in other aspects of your life? Maybe you notice some habits around food, coffee, spending money, work, etc. where you struggle to find balance. It's very common for us to get sober and to notice these patterns in other areas of our lives, and this week I'm chatting all about letting go of all or nothing thinking and finding balance in our lives!
