Your health and wellbeing are a continuous investment. Take that in ☝️☝️☝️ Read it several times if you need to. I will tell you what goes wrong. For example, if you want to lose weight, you hire a trainer, but you don't get results as you don't want to change the foods you eat. You think that just because you are paying someone for an hour of time for a week you will lose weight. Wrong! Or instead of a trainer, you go on a diet (Cambridge, Keto, Atkins etc). But then what? You lose weight and then return to 'normal', then slowly watch your weight creep back on (with a little extra). It all starts with your mind and mindset. You will get better results with small consistent actions than you will in some short-term fad. You will also impact other elements of your life - relationships, work success, financial situation. Because you are committed to the one person in your life that truly matters. To you! You can... ✔️ Have a clear mind for creative thinking and productivity every single day ✔️ Have the energy to work a full day AND still have time for loved ones in the evening ✔️ Love your body so much that it does not matter WHAT you wear, you will rock it! And it all comes from making sure you are top of your game. Join Paula Goodman and me as we share our thoughts and experience live at 1500 GMT on Wednesday 8th December. We will be joined by Alex Da Silva who will be bringing the gender balance to the table. (Gents, these things hit us all)
Are you one of those people who is always in a rush to get somewhere?  Or to achieve something?   Then on the way, everyone seems to want to get in the way and slow down the end result.   So frustrating!   Have you ever heard the line 'stop and smell the roses'?   'Stop and smell the roses' is an idiom that means to take time out of one's busy schedule to enjoy or appreciate the beauty of life.  Basically, to relax.  I know I spent so many years in a hurry...   wanting an answer following an interview the same day;  dying to hear back from a guy the day after we had been out or even met;  wishing for a holiday to hurry up, so I could jump on that plane to somewhere warmer.   I think it's part of growing up really - such a hurry not to be a child anymore that we actually forget there is no rush.   Except if you live in a big city like #London ... kind of get used to the fast-paced lifestyle.   But fast-paced and tight deadlines do not mean rushing.  It is about;   ✔️ Being effective with your time;   ✔️ Being 100% invested in what you are doing at the moment - work is work, play is play;   ✔️ Having time and ways to destress so you can recharge your batteries.   Whether you are struggling to find balance, or simply want to improve how things are now, join us #live Wednesday 1st December.   Paula Goodman and I will be talking about all things to do with your journey, how to set yourself first to take positive steps, and how to do it to keep enjoying the ride.   Live on #LinkedIn and #YouTube 1500 GMT | 1000 EST | 0700 PST Wednesday 1st December.   Not about? Catch the replay in your own time!   #change #wellbeing #journey #timemanagement #stressmanagement
Creating awareness is key when it comes to health and wellbeing.   How many times have you thought something was wrong, and really it was nothing?   Or maybe the opposite?  You thought all was fine but then you needed treatment or medicine?   Paula Goodman and I spoke about #WomensHealth during October. Now it is time to raise awareness for #MensHealth.   Ok, so we can't go a moustache or anything to show our support for #Movember , but we can help to create awareness for the key topics:   Mental Health and Suicide Prevention   Prostate Cancer   Testicular Cancer   Well, Paula and I know little about the first one, but we do know about the impact cancer can have on someone.   And now, more than ever, mental health needs care and attention.   Did you know that other issues can arise or worsen if your mental wellbeing is not being cared for?  You could say it is the pivotal piece for great health.   Join us and share your thoughts, live Wednesday 17th November at 1500 GMT (London Time)  1000 EST | 0700 PST   #Live #LadiesGoLive #awareness
There is nothing worse than feeling embarrassed.   Except for the fact those are the memories that you remember most of all.   Did you fall over in the street?  Did your skirt blow up at the wrong time?   Was there something stuck in your teeth during a first date?   When you made that presentation, was your shirt see-through under the lights?   I could go on...   Embarrassing things happen, a bit like they're simply part of everyday life.   But have you noticed that when you feel top of your game, fewer things happen?    Or even the most embarrassing happen when you are worried/upset/stressed?   It is SO hard to laugh something off when you are feeling like the world is piling in.   And worse if you are trying to make a good impression.   Do you know how I used to cope when I started teaching fitness classes?   Well, I get stage fright (hard to believe at times I know, but it is legit), which over the years is something I have worked on, but to begin with, it was really hard.   Anyway, when I started teaching (and even now if I get really nervous or want to make a great impression) I started the class off by saying or doing something silly.  You know, like an ice breaker.   My favourite story is always telling people how I fell off the bike 1/2 way through the warm-up on my first cycle class.  I kill the embarrassment of that moment with something I feel is worse than anything anyone else could do right then.   The kill kindness with kindness mentality.  But guess what?!   It works!   Join Paula Goodman and me as we talk through our self-conscious emotions, share our stories and experiences, and what coping mechanisms work for us.   Live Wednesday 10th November at 1500 GMT (London Time)   #selfconscious #mentalwellbeing #ladiesgolive #liveshow
Play is good for your health!   Oh yes, it is!    A bit Punch and Judy, but who cares!    There's a reason why play and laughter are an essential part of your childhood - they're good for you.   In fact, through play you...  🤾‍♀️ learn  🤾‍♀️ build teamwork  🤾‍♀️ develop co-ordination and cognitive skills  🤾‍♀️ encourage creativity   And how good does it feel to laugh?!?   A proper belly laugh where you let all your inhibitions go.   The best part?    Whatever your age, gender, background, basically you can be anyone, play will give benefit to you and your life too.   So if you fancy coming for 'play time' that is good for your health, join Paula Goodman, myself with our Special guest this Wednesday at 1500 GMT (London Time).   1500 GMT | 1100 EST | 0800 PDT - live on my profile, or YouTube Channel  Catch up on YouTube anytime   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs7y... #linkedinlive #live #health #business #motivation #LadiesGoLive
It's that time of year - Halloween!   A time historically linked to trick or treating, dressing up, and those good old-fashioned horror movies.  However, that is not where it started.   In fact, costumes used to be worn so people would ward off ghosts (a bit different from dressing up as one).   But it was Robert Burns who first used the word 'Halloween' in a poem, which literally is just an old-fashioned way of saying "the night before All Saints' Day".   Yet despite some of the darker history, Halloween, like other holidays, created that extra bit of 'cheer' for people during the pandemic.  For your mental wellbeing it has been truly awesome you could say!   However, are you aware that your mind can play tricks on you?   That when you think your body needs those sweet treats, that it is actually your mind taking over?   Join Paula Goodman and me as we speak about health and Halloween - does your mind need a trick, or does your body need a treat?   Live Wednesday 27th October at 1500 BST | 1000 EST | 0700 PDT   #live #halloween #trickortreat #wellbeing #healthymind
Everyone knows sleep is important, but do you realise how much it can be affected when the clocks change?  Or even if you travel and change time zone?   Fact is, every part of you keeps track of time.   Quite cool, huh?!   But the bad part is that changes to your daily routine or pattern can actually trigger stress in your body.   Stress leads to (and causes):   sleep deprivation  disorientation  memory loss  lack of concentration  difficulties learning  impact on social interactions   Basically, your entire cognitive functioning is affected by your sleep.  So when your entire body clock is disrupted, it can have serious implications for your health and wellbeing.   With the clocks due to fall back, join Paula and me as we talk sleep, managing through changing time zones, and keeping your body clock in check.   Ladies Go Live, Wednesday 20th October, 1500 BST | 1000 EST | 0700 PDT    #LadiesGoLive #Live #Health #TalkShow #Healthyliving #Wellbeing
"In 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 680,000 deaths globally." (WHO, March 2021)   It is the world's most prevalent cancer, and yet there is still a stigma around it.   One of my friends had breast cancer and beat it. A few years later it came back.    She beat it again, but the second time was much scarier.   When I had my nose surgery, two of the women in the operation ward were having breast operations.   One was a young woman (still in her early 20s) having a lump removed.   The other was an older lady having her breast rebuilt after a previous operation to remove the lump she had.   The fact is, it is very much real!   As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Paula Goodman and I are aiming to help remove the stigma around talking about breast cancer and having healthy breasts.   Join us live on LinkedIn, YouTube or Twitter at 1500 BST on Wednesday 13th October.  It's time to wear pink with pride!   #breastcancerawareness #femalehealth #healthybody #professionalwomen #health
After the Facebook outage this week, which saw Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook go down, it has been a hot topic.   Did it affect your business?   What about your social life?  Or maybe you didn't even notice?    I was the latter.   Yes, I sent a WhatsApp, but I don't expect immediate responses as people have other things to do than sit by their phones.   Yes, I did open Instagram. I had a quick scroll down then that was it.   But some people really noticed.   Now the comments pop up about how the platforms are affecting the mental wellbeing of younger generations.   So, how much social media is actually good for you?  Do you feel the need to check back every few hours, or even every time a notification pings up?   Join Paula Goodman and me as we discuss the pros and cons of social media platforms, and how we manage them for our wellbeing. #socialmedia #wellbeing #mentalwellbeing #socialinteraction #health #LadiesGoLive
Does your wellbeing have a place within business? Does your background matter? Your heritage? Your gender? Your religion? What effect does it all have on your wellbeing within a business? When it comes to diversity and inclusion, there are certainly imbalances, questions, and topics that can be difficult to discuss So consider this scenario... You are interviewing for a Personal Trainer role, which involves fitness tests. You've been informed that the candidate lost both his legs in Afganistan. What do you expect? Do you think you could handle this situation? Well, when it happened to me, I didn't know what to expect Wheelchair? Prosthetics? Would he have support with him? He actually walked in as he had prosthetic legs, but I had no idea what that meant. Or what he could or couldn't do as a result I had never had to test or train anyone with prosthetic limbs to that point Nor did I fully understand what limitations were still present So, I directly asked him what he could or couldn't do I found out then you couldn't run or flex the lower body (ankle joints particularly) unless you were wearing running blades But it didn't stop him from taking the fitness tests Instead of running, he did the arm bike. And instead of squats, pull-ups Fact is, he was fitter and stronger than so many I had tested who were fully able-bodied Why? Not because he had to be Because he wanted to be and made his own personal wellbeing a priority In fact, every business comes to face situations like this Where judgments and misconceptions can be made about someone, instead of letting them shine It is for that reason every business needs the support of someone like Ms Cassandra Rose Wouldn't it be nice to know ALL your employees were all taken care of? No matter the situation Join me as I speak to Ms Cassandra Rose about: 🔹 How diversity, equity and inclusion affects employee wellbeing 🔹 What you can do to care for the wellbeing of all employees 🔹 The positive impact it can have on your business ... If you want to stand out in business, it all starts with having your brand spot on.  But what good is it to have your brand spot on if you are not in the right place?   What happens is you spend time worrying about colours, your message, how things sound, maintaining a consistent message, content creating.....everything to do with your brand, but then you get in front of a camera...   You look tired.   You find it hard to concentrate, so things you know are suddenly not there.   You lack confidence so you mumble or babble something when you speak.   Then poof! There goes your business opportunity.   All that work you have put into getting the right message out there has no follow-through.  Your brand is reliant on your wellbeing.   Think of how much easier it is to sign a new client when you feel good about yourself.   Or how much more confident you are handling questions about your services.   Or even as simple as how much more productive you are when you are clear-headed and feeling great.   Well, Naomi Baraket is a lady in the know.  She knows how to get you to build your brand and build the best you to represent that brand.   If you want to find more about building yourself up, positioning yourself as an authority, and being the best you in business the do join us.     To connect with Naomi:   ★ Website: https://neurosuccessology.com/ or www.virtualinfluenceracademy.com ★ Facebook Group: https://m.facebook.com/groups/2824634... ★  Email: naomi@neurosuccessology.com     #podcast #brand #professionalwomen #wellbeing #ladiesgolive

Is your head in the game? When it comes to being an athlete, part of your warm-up or preparation is to get your focus. To basically get your head in the game. But, when it comes to business, you still need this winning mindset to get the performance you want. Or maybe really the result. Back when I started out as a Personal Trainer, I met Ric Moylan He not only inspired me, but he talked straight about how your mindset is pivotal to everything you do. Now, Ric has coached individuals ranging from CEO, business owners, the RAF, senior officers in the Police force, right through to university graduates. What he mentors others with has life-changing results. And even to this day, I feel it a true pleasure to be able to speak to someone who inspired me when I was really starting out. In 2007 I joined the Army. I remember the first day I rocked up on the parade square. The sun was shining, new Cadets everywhere, and a sense of enthusiasm and excited nerves in the air. Let's just say that didn't last long. Soon stacked up in our green coveralls, in our platoons we were learning how to march. Drill soon became quite fun - strange but true. Anyway, let's fast forwards slightly. Our company was made up of 2 male platoons and 1 female platoon, and it is safe to say over the 12 months there we all went on a journey together. Some got injured, others back termed, and some left - some of us all 3! Others, like James Scott, commissioned to go on to do great things - both in uniform and out! It is no surprise that post military life sees James conquering the Property Investment and Development world Life as an Army Officer is not easy. Life as an Entrepreneur is not easy.
