Welcome back! The return of LMAHMpod for Series 3 kicks off with a Dave-pitch, this time a Scottish, archeologically-themed, folkloric mystery-bloodbath, specifically intended as a Gerard Butler vehicle. Due to the hiatus, Act 1 is a catch-up on bits and bobs (as opposed to the usual feedback on prev. ep), Act 2 covers the fantastic FrightFest 2021 Digital Festival including ‘As in Heaven, So on Earth’, ' The Brilliant Terror', ‘Sweetie You Won’t Believe It’, ‘Gaia’ and ‘Evie’, the latter by Dominic Brunt & Jamie Lundy. Act 3 is the pitch itself – Stones Of Stenness – expect accents. And by Act 4 we’d drunk really quite a lot, so it’s a quick title brain-storm that, as you can see, ended without anything too mentally taxing. First episode in 11 months – so there’s extra nonsense for you all too.
Act 1 - 5:18m – Catch up & our latest sponsors & housekeeping
Act 2 - 18:07m – Horrorishy highlights from Frightfest 2021 + Concrete Plans
Act 3 - 33:53m – Horror Pitch: Stones of Stenness
Act 4 - 74:11m – Pitch post-mortem & title brainstorm

Act 2 this month sees a roundup of October’s Frightfest horror festival picks, covering 14 fantastic new horror movies, and a 15th one which we really get into the weeds on (The Nights Before Christmas). Extra shout-outs to The Pale Door, Broil, For The Sake of Vicious, The Reckoning and Sacrifice - keep an eye out for these! Plus all the new-normal nonsense you’ve come to expect.

A couple in their early thirties make a hasty and life-changing decision in moving to rural France for the good life, whilst their best friend Clive dedicates his life to finding out what happened to them… Hear Dave’s latest horror movie pitch ‘Marionette Macabre’ in Act 3!
Apologies the edit/release was a touch delayed thanks to 3 days of fabulous horror movies (cheers Frightfest!), however in Act 1 we catch up on feedback for ‘Hobbslawn’ from Ep27, and in Act 2 we cover the book The Living Dead by George Romero and Daniel Kraus, as well as Netflix’ Transformers War for Cybertron (Siege) and some Covid etiquette. Finally, in Act 4 you get all the usual nonsense plus title search etc etc. Hope you’re all keeping well!

What happens when two hosts sit in 37+degree heat for two hours? Episode 27 is what happens! Take a swirling trip upon our magic yet rapidly descending ship of heat delirium and enjoy Jon’s pitch in Act 3’s ‘Hobbslawn’. A quaint English village is about to experience some ancient, righteous anger, and it's not pretty!
Act 1 as always sees feedback on our last pitch (2 eps ago) and my god it was hot. Act 2 has a few quick japes around three horror movies – Host, Culture Shock and The Beach House – did I say how hot it was? And as always Act 4 is the pitch post-mortem but this time with 15 minutes of the most bizarre, heat-induced rambling nonsense that one is likely to hear. Normally this would be edited more objectively, but one suffers PTSD trying to do so. So, enjoy the sound of two men fighting a not-so-silent war of attrition against hellish temperatures whilst trying to remain somewhat coherent. Henceforth, this shall be referred to as ‘The Hot Episode (Or ‘How I learned to stop worrying about this huge red flag highlighting the imminent death of the planet’).
Act 1 – 05:07m – Listener Feedback on Ep25 ‘The Moon Cursers’ (and ep 26)
Act 2 – 17:29m – Last fortnight’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 22:42m – Horror Pitch: Hobbslawn
Act 4 – 52:46m - Pitch Post-mortem & title brainstorm + website offers, history etc.

It’s a special episode of LMAHMpod where Dave & Jon meet Producer - Alok Mishra, and Emmy nominated Actress - Naomi Grossman, of Horror/Thriller ‘1BR’ (Apartment 1BR). Hear about the nightmarish mishaps that happened on the road to production as well as the movie’s origins, funding & distribution, Covid & VOD, future projects and advice for getting your idea to screen.
It’s a great movie, give it a watch and give this a listen - contains spoilers!
Start – 05:36m – 1BR interview with Alok Mishra, Producer, and Actress Naomi Grossman
Act 4 – 60:00m – Cheers & see you next Ep (+ pronunciation reminiscences)!
Don’t forget to check out letsmakeahorrormovie.com, and you can email us at letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com, Tweet us @LMAHMPOD, find us on Instagram or just shout as loud as you can in our general direction. Our alchemists have discovered a contraption that, we believe, will allow us to hear said screams..
King George III has just taken the throne and may still hold the colonies, but back home in pitch-black London-by-night, eerie things have been going down and Link Boys are in the frame… That’s right, its Episode 25 and Dave delivers another one of his historical Horror Movie pitch/walk-throughs in Act 3 – “The Moon Cursers”. Its proper grim, so consider this fair warning. It’s worth it though, I’m sure.
Act 1 as usual sees listener feedback on the previous episode’s horror pitch - Jon’s ‘he Lies Bleeding’, and Act 2 covers off Horror Movies Metamorphosis, Relic, and 1BR / Apartment 1BR (though there’s more to come on 1BR next week in a special episode - shhhhh!!!). And Act4 as usual is our title-search and a sprinkling of your weekly LMAHMpod bollocks.
Act 1 – 04:12m – Listener Feedback on Ep24 ‘he Lies Bleeding’
Act 2 – 13:11m – Last fortnight’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 18:44m – Horror Pitch: The Moon Cursers
Act 4 – 55:26m - Pitch Post-mortem & title brainstorm + website offers, history etc.
As always, find us at www.letsmakeahorrormovie.com, email us letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com, Tweet us @LMAHMPOD, find us on Instagram or just shout as loud as you can in our general direction. We will do our best to hear your cry upon the wind.
Episode 24 thumps into your ears with all the subtlety of a Schwerer Gustav cannon, providing a horrific return to the diabolical in Jon’s pitch ‘he Lies Bleeding’ (yes, with a small h. Ffs). In Act 1 we get two rounds of listener feedback and updates to The Barber and The Butchers – Netflix, honestly, just give us a call – and in Act 2 we get another classic Dave rant, this time Marvel’s Hawkeye is in his sights, alongside a quick jaunt past the horror movies Hagazussa and Insidious 4, as well as some nonsense.
Act 3 of course is the pitch – that is why you are here – and in Act 4 we get the usual commentary followed by the History of Podcasting and some of it’s key figures, as well as how you can get involved in the latest print-publishing phenomenon: ‘The Podcaster’s Podcaster’ and ‘Podcaster’s Monthly’.
Act 1 – 04:23m – Listener Feedback on Ep23 ‘The Barber and The Butchers’
Act 2 – 16:27m – Last fortnight’s horrorishy cultural highlights (and rant)
Act 3 – 27:00m – Horror Pitch: he Lies Bleeding
Act 4 – 53:47m - Pitch Post-mortem & title brainstorm + website offers, history etc.
As always, find us at www.letsmakeahorrormovie.com, email us letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com, Tweet us @LMAHMPOD, find us on Instagram or just generally shout as loud as you can in our general direction. We will do our best to hear your cry.
New in Episode 23: Find out how you too can now enjoy the convenience of the 1000 best podcasts of the month in easy-to-see/hard-to-miss transcript form! Also, in Act 1 you can hear resident non-domicile Scottish correspondent JDubz’ feedback on Ep 22’s pitch ‘Metal Sky’, whilst in Act 2 we hear a bit about new horror movie ‘Becky’, alongside ‘The Last Of Us Part 2’ and the novel ‘Devolution’ by Max Brooks.
Act 3 is Dave’s first return to the Pitch arena post-covid, or ‘POCO’ if you will, and he’s taken the gloves off. It’s a futuristic nightmare with protagonists in their late 50s who are 'all out of gum'... Twitter is firmly in his sights! And finishing off the episode in Act 4 we get a few bits and bobs on the pitch, the usual name-search (get involved!) and a lot of weird stuff about Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Ded Kidz and the follow-up to our hit true-crime, sister podcast: Finding Susan.
Act 1 – 03:33m – Listener Feedback on Ep22 ‘Metal Sky’
Act 2 – 15:43m – Last fortnight’s horrorishy cultural highlights (Devolution, Becky, Last of Us Part 2)
Act 3 – 24:38m - Horror Pitch: The Barber and the Butchers
Act 4 – 57:54m - Pitch Post-mortem & title brainstorm

Welcome back – it’s the return of LmaHmPod! That’s right, after 3 long months of lockdown, Jon & Dave opted not to swap fluids any longer and instead committed themselves to a socially-distanced recording session – the first ‘PoCo’ if you will.
So, without further ado, it’s a new Jon pitch and it’s a brutal one. He didn’t earn the moniker ‘Thirty Ded Kidz’ (3DK) for nothing – check it out in Act 3! Alongside that there’s a general catch-up in Act 1 as feedback was covered in the Memento Morisode, and in Act 2 we dive through a few new horror movies (Color Out of Space, Ready Or Not, Let Us Pray, Sweetheart) and books that we love.
Hope you’re all well and generally tickety-boo. Bring a tea, get comfy and tuck in.
Act 1 – 04:03m – Lockdown catch-up & feedback
Act 2 – 15:29m – Last 3 month’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 27:14m - Horror Pitch: Metal Sky
Act 4 – 54:44m - Pitch Post-mortem & title brainstorm

It’s our 20th Episode and Jon pulls a mad one out of the bag to mark the occasion. Folklorish body-horror abounds in Act 3’s ‘King Fae’ – an English yarn with a gruesome finale. Act 1 sees some listener additions to Ep19’s ‘The Vaults’, whilst Act 2 covers ‘How to Stare at Famous People’.. like, just in general, as well as the horror movies Snatchers and I Trapped the Devil, and LMAHMPod’s survival tips for the COVID19 pandemic. Act 3 is the aforementioned ‘King Fae’ horror movie pitch, whilst Act 4 is the post-mortem and title-search as well as Jon’s recollections of the famous Mary Poppins out-take ‘defecation scene’. And much more, including free, niche books!
Act 1 – 05:42m - Listener feedback & updates to Ep19’s pitch ‘The Vaults’.
Act 2 – 13:00m - This fortnight’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 23:00m - Horror Pitch: King Fae
Act 4 – 49:33m - Pitch Post-mortem & title brainstorm + 60.50m Jon’s Julie Andrews & Mary Poppins recollections
As ever, contributions & input welcomed – find as at letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com or Twitter @LMAHMpod, Instagram, The Guild of Clives, Binary Phone, House visit, Semaphore, Stigmata, etc
“It’s all Brow”. Ep19 arrives with a contemporary, ghoulish horror movie pitch from co-host Dave and it’s a straight up gore-fest. But the fun kind. Set in “one of the most haunted places in the UK”, there’s a touch of the ‘will they’, ‘won’t they’ keep hold of their own face. A story as old as time. Act 1 delivers some dedicated Nun feedback from those in the know, whilst Act 2 touches on some good horrory reads as well as a quick swerve into Aesop’s classic ‘The Tale of The P!ss!ng Shrew’. Act 3 is the soon to be modern classic ‘The Vaults’, whilst Act 4 delivers a flurry of alternate titles. Oh and for some reason Robert Durst is in this one. Briefly.
Act 1 – 02:52m - Listener feedback & updates to Ep18’s pitch ‘Mission’.
Act 2 – 15:55m - This fortnight’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 20:40m - Horror Pitch: The Vaults
Act 4 – 63:04m - Pitch Post-mortem & title brainstorm
As ever, contributions & input welcomed – find as at letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com or Twitter @LMAHMpod, Instagram, The Guild of Clives, Binary Phone, House visit, Semaphore, Stigmata, etc
Stepping up like a true gentleman when co-host Dave is in need, Jon takes the reins again this week with ‘Mission’. A bleak, claustrophobic horror set in a house of Nuns. A Mission, if you will. *cough* Anyhoo, in a blasphemous break from tradition, this is the second Jon-pitch episode in a row, but boy it delivers! Dave does contribute a bit by causing the sound to go haywire for the first 3 mins before finally arriving at something moderately audible. It’s worth it though as in Act 1 we receive some feedback castigation from ‘JDubz’ (and some ideas for Ep17’s pitch), Act 2 touches on a few books before veering off into ‘Zulu Jesus’, Act 3 of course is Jon’s dark pitch ‘Mission’, and bringing up the rear as always now in Act 4 is a quick natter on the pitch ideas before more Zulu Jesus, some Jonny Ghand, Sister Rodimus Prime and the Great Star Wars controversy of 'One Glove'.
Act 1 – 02:36m - Listener feedback & updates to Ep17’s pitch ‘Nuckelavee Country’.
Act 2 – 14:19m - This fortnight’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 23:54m - Horror Pitch: Mission
Act 4 – 48:14m - Pitch Post-morten, title brainstorm, Zulu Jesus + Jonny Ghandi + Sister Rodimus Prime + Star Wars 'One Glove' controversy
As ever, contributions & input welcomed – find as at letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com or Twitter @LMAHMpod, Instagram, Telegram, The Guild of Clives, Binary Phone, House visit, SMS, Semaphore, Stigmata, etc
It’s Episode 17! A Jon week and the final part of our Sequels Month. In Act 3 3DK delivers his follow up to Dave’s to ‘A Long Way From God’ (from ‘Early Years LMAHMPod’) with a cannibalism infused, Scottish Highlands escapade including a regiment of the Queen’s finest and a satchel full of eyeballs! Act 1 as ever sees feedback on last episode’s pitch with a veritable feast of input from listeners, whilst Act 2 takes a brief look at the Witcher but is more a long winded apology to Mr Cavill and a paen to his nocturnal habits, amongst other cultural touchpoints from the last fortnight. Act 3 is the pitch and Act 4 gives us the pitch post-mortem as well as a bizarre conversation about inter-species onanism, specifically regarding Jon and Primates in a life or death hypothetical. I mean, it’s us, what were you expecting?
Oh and sorry its bit late.
Act 1 – 3:33m – Listener updates to Ep16's ‘Fertilized Earth’ sequel
Act 2 – 19:33m – This week’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 27:37m – Horror Pitch: Nuckelavee Country – sequel to A Long Way From God (Ep#4)
Act 4 – 53:18m – Pitch Post-mortem, titles & Gorilla Onanism with 3DK!
As ever, contributions & input welcomed – find as at letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com or Twitter @LMAHMpod, Instagram, Telegram, The Guild of Clives, Binary Phone, House visit, SMS, Semaphore, HitFast or Jeremy.
It’s ‘Sequels Month’ here at LMAHMpod, and as it’s a Dave week he kicks proceedings off with a brutal, desolate sequel to Jon’s Episode 13 Pitch ‘Goodbye Tomorrow’. Picking up the futuristic setting 6 years after the events of the first somewhat sci-fi infused horror movie pitch, Dave adds in some listener feedback from the original and fully lets the crazy out again. As usual there is listener Feedback to Ep15 in Act 1, which also takes a detour into 20 year old events from UK TV Soap ‘Hollyoaks’ with very little justification, before Act 2 jumps into BBC’s Dracula mini-series and a brainstorm around potential Harold ‘Harry’ / ‘Shippers’ Shipman movie titles. Act 3 as ever is the pitch itself – if you haven’t heard Episode 13, its not essential but you may enjoy it more if you do (or you may not, who knows!). And Act 4 is the pitch post-mortem, title brainstorm and a delirious segment on ‘Toilet Shows’. Yep.
Act 1 – 4:30m – Listener updates to Ep15's ‘Trying Christmas’
Act 2 – 17:48m – This week’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 25:48m – Horror Pitch: Fertilized Earth – sequel to Goodbye Tomorrow (Ep#13)
Act 4 – 54:25m – Pitch Post-mortem, titles & Toilet Shows!
As ever, contributions & input welcomed – find as at letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com or Twitter @LMAHMpod, Instagram, Telegram, The Guild of Clives, Binary Phone, House visit, SMS, Semaphore, HitFast or Jeremy.
As 2020 rises from the ashes of 2019, Jon delivers his latest Horror Movie pitch in the form of ‘Trying Christmas’ – part two of our Christmas Specials! With touches of a historically accurate Victorian London throughout, this episode delivers all the usual farce. Act 1 sees some audience updates to last Episode’s ‘Sunken God’s pitch, Act 2 takes a Christmassy turn about the cultural grounds of the last fortnight, and Act 3 is Jon’s family-Christmas horror-pitch with a bunch of additional nonsense immediately preceding it. Act 4 is 5 mins of post-mortem followed by a quick name-search and hugely inappropriate laughing session to do with orphans. It’s really not a laughing matter.
Act 1 – 4:24m – Listener updates to ‘Sunken Gods’
Act 2 – 12:54m – This week’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 23:42m – Horror Pitch: Trying Christmas
Act 4 – 47:00m – Pitch Post-mortem, naming & utter nonsense
As ever, contributions & input welcomed – find as at letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com or Twitter @LMAHMpod, Instagram, Telegram, Binary Phone, House visit, SMS, Semaphore, HitFast, Jeffrey or Flips.
Grab life by the neck, wrestle it to the ground and kick it to death with us in Episode 14 – the first of our two Christmas Specials! An aural Christmas stocking, it’s filled with glitter and pool balls, ready to be liberally applied to the face or head. Magical. It’s a Dave week and in Act 3 we cover off ‘Kid Smack’ and the problems of getting heroin for children at Christmas, as well as a getting a belting Horror Movie Pitch set in Ancient Greece – ‘Sunken Gods’. Act 1 sees some grim but wonderful listener updates to Ep13’s ‘Goodbye Tomorrow’ pitch, and Act 2 does a whistle-stop tour of the few things we’ve had the time to look at or hear, what with it being Christmas ‘n all. And there’s a bonus 4min ‘shot in the face’ analogy that really gets put through some gymnastics… If you like this episode, give us a Peregrine on Chopsy! (see Act 4).
Act 1 – 3:45 – Listener updates to ‘Goodbye Tomorrow’
Act 2 – 14:53 – This week’s horrorishy cultural highlights
Act 3 – 22:53 – Horror Pitch: Sunken Gods
Act 4 – 56:32 – Pitch Post Mortem, Title Brainstorm & nonsense.
As ever, contributions & input welcomed – find as at letsmakeahorrormovie@gmail.com or Twitter @LMAHMpod, Instagram, Telegram, Binary Phone, House visit, SMS, Semaphore etc.
