Would you rather spend your time, money, and energy on;
A. Trials and Errors B. Asking for Help
B. Asking for Help
Nikki Corson, a serial entrepreneur and the founder of Prissy Nikki has been there, done that. Here are some of the key points from this interview:
- You can be strong, and yet still ask for help.
- You have to be honest with yourself and be conscious about the things you can or cannot control to live an InControl Life.
- You can go through the trials and errors by yourself, but at the end of the day, you would need someone that is an expert in your field to guide you through. It is just a matter of time.
- If you think hiring a mentor is costly, going through the trials and errors is just as costly or even more.
- Mentorship is not for everyone.
- It is the mentee’s responsibility to take action, and get back to the mentor if he/she needs help.
There’s more to it.

Hands down to one of the best people I've spoken to this year, @Naketa Thigpen the #1 Balance and Relationship Advisor in the World.
When it comes to relationship management, be it with your colleagues, bosses, friends, or even your romantic partner, we often focus on others when a problem arises. "She must be in a mood swing" or "He is not in the right tone" but never "I wasn't being nice too". We're not saying to blame yourself whenever problems arise but to have self-awareness and the empathy to stand in others' shoes and to mirror ourselves.
There's more to it. In this episode, we also discuss Naketa's denouncing 'SELFISH' and how it is important for all of us to understand the difference between being selfish and stingy, what's worth our time and energy, and more. No more spoilers for you all, watch it here or listen to this episode on my podcast.

Ms. Aileen Lee Sor Geok or more commonly known as Aunty Aileen is the founder of My Pets Haven. Aunty Aileen was previously a pub owner before she discovered her passion for animals. She first started working in a pet shop and she wasn’t really happy with the way her bosses treat the animals.
Her ex-bosses denied Aunty Aileen's requests to walk the dogs that were kept in cages too small for them to even stretch their legs. Being the rebel she is, she took the dogs out for a walk whenever the boss wasn’t around. That was Aunty Aileen's "DAY 1" of realizing her passion.
For more information about how you can help Aunty Aileen, visit their website, Instagram or contact them at lovemypetshaven@gmail.com if you are interested to foster, adopt or become a volunteer at the shelter.
