When we go through hard times, it is sometimes difficult to stay loyal to our true feelings. Instead, we might suppress, deny or push it away. I offer self-reflective meditation here to guide you through in a process of bringing compassion to our heart. My work is inspired by Tara Brach, an American psychotherapist. She offers a wide range of mindfulness practice. ++++++ Seiko is a psychotherapist based in New Zealand and a life-long practitioner of Buddhism in SGI. "Unseen, unexpressed parts of us are the source of our suffering" - Carl Jung. When we have something that we can't express, it can lead to mental illness and emotional difficulties. We will also get increasingly frustrated and resentful at others. Our ability to recognise what's unexpressed in our hearts and find a way to speak it is crucial for our fundamental happiness. With this ability, we can stay present when negativity arises, and meet a challenge with courage and care, rather than feeling overwhelmed and reactive to the situation. ++++++ Seiko is a psychotherapist based in New Zealand and a life-long practitioner of Buddhism in SGI. If we can regard everything as a source of creating something positive and meaningful, I believe that we can then somehow find a way of turning things around. On the other hand, if we see everything only in a negative, pessimistic light, our life will gradually but inevitably be plunged into darkness. Buddhism teaches the subtlety of our deepest heart. In which direction is our heart is looking at on the deepest level shapes our life. In the direction of hope? Or in the direction of fear? ++++++ Seiko is a psychotherapist based in New Zealand and a life-long practitioner of Buddhism in SGI. Both Western psychotherapy and Eastern spiritual philosophy convey the same message: You being yourself is the most powerful and most beautiful thing in life. We all want to be true to ourselves, and yet it is sometimes challenging when there are parts of us that are difficult to accept, whether our emotional pain or greatness. What is the key to being all of who we are? ++++++ Seiko is a psychotherapist based in New Zealand and a life-long practitioner of Buddhism in SGI.
