Description

A podcast asking the real questions about the TV show Unsolved Mysteries. Such as, what car is that? Do ghosts have clothes? Why am I so attracted to Robert Stack?

I watch the show and record my drunken hot-takes, then do research and write a script. Then edit out most of the drunken hot-takes because they're mean.

It's a goofy, skeptical take on a show that has real, serious journalism about crimes, but also talks about ghost boats with reenactment actors wearing bad fake mustaches and over-packed shoulder pads.

DESTRUCTOBLOG is also on YouTube! Video podcasts are there with clips and photos! (We also have a Facebook fan page nobody visits, and a website that never gets updated.)

Welcome to pandemic pandemonium. This episode is not about viruses or quarantines, but I hope it gives you something to do while you count your rolls of toilet paper and ensure you have enough shotgun shells for the ensuing apocalypse. In this episode we discuss the MURDER of Elmer DeBoer by Jerry Strickland with accomplice Melissa Munday, the ROBBERY and possible mistaken identity case in Michael Scott Martin's FINAL APPEAL, possible satanic cult murders or coincidences with the story of Kurt McFall's UNEXPLAINED DEATH, and FINALLY we get to talk about how mail worked in WWII! It goes really sideways in story with lots of information about Satan, so hydrate, wash your hands, and prepare for evil to enter your body in the much belated EPISODE FIVE! Thanks for waiting! It's EPISODE FOUR OF THE SOLVED MYSTERY UNSOLVED STORY THING OR WHATEVER! In this episode, we talk about how a guy definitely Florida'd his wife in story 1. Story 2 has us look at a old guy and how he gave his money to some people. The number 3 story has us look for the explanation of how a lady was found in a burning car nowhere near her home. Story 4 is all about rumors and bullshit about a Grand Canyon trip from the 1920's that left a couple missing. Story 5, the finale, is the longest thing I've ever written and deals with a man who only wants to love his bugs and his wife who disappears. People Profiled: Shannon Mohr, David Davis, Glen and Bessey Hyde, Jule Caylor, Dottie Caylor, Patrick Conway, and Aileen Conway. This episode of the podcast covers Season 1 Episode 1 of Unsolved Mysteries as it was presented on Amazon Prime. I know the story order is mixed up, I address it and apologize. Welcome to episode threeeeEEEEEEEE! Of Solved/Unsolved MystereeeeeiiIIIIIIIS! This episode covers Season 1, Episode 3 of Unsolved Mysteries. Stories: 1. Amnesia: Who killed Doreen Picard? Susan Laferte can't remember. 2. Fraud: Mr. Mustache (Louis Carlucci) bullies women and takes their money. 3. Wanted: Yount and Broadbeck escape. This is the original part, the update was on the previous episode. The episode order strikes back. I complain about this around 44:00, but Amazon has fixed this issue. 4. Mysterious Legends: The Beale Silver Mine Ciphers. DIG. BURY ME. UNDERNEATH. There's a lot of complaining and bad Photoshop editing. Enjoy! I'm back with a new podcast about the first episode of Unsolved Mysteries! It's a skeptical look at a show that sometimes blends reality and total horseshit in the best way. In this episode we talk about the Queen Mary ghost ship hauntings, wanted man Joe Shepherd, and missing woman Gail DeLano. It gets very goofy and then gets very sad. Special thanks to the Center for Inquiry (www.centerforinquiry.net/)for great information about the normal side of the paranormal and Joe Nickell for being my hero. Still here, just taking a bit of a hiatus. Ironically I have to work extra now because of covid. I'm planning on a return by next month or the month after. The video version of the last episode is 80% done, I have cassette editions ready to be printed, and I have a new video intro I shot footage for. Just have to get time. Thanks for listening

Lol I'm so glad I stay subscribed. As always, this podcast did not disappoint. I think I know why this show appeals to me so much --- the host likes sleepaway camp! Yep, my kind of humor. Great episode

Ep5 is being edited right now. Audio was recorded the other day. It was delayed because I lost my voice and started coughing up blood, which is pretty metal. Audio version will come out here first.
