The Missing Piece in M.E./CFS Recovery
If you’ve been trying to recover from M.E./CFS and still feel stuck despite doing everything you’re “supposed” to do — you’re not alone.
Most people aren’t doing anything wrong.
They’re missing one foundational piece and without it, the body simply can’t move forward.
In this short podcast, I explain why effort, belief, and motivation alone don’t lead to recovery and what actually needs to change for real progress to begin.
For many people, this is the moment things finally click.

What real M.E/CFS progress actually looks like
Before joining CFS Health, Raff was spending around 22 hours a day resting. Getting dressed. Eating meals.
Holding her head up. All of it took everything she had. She lived with constant dizziness, tinnitus, light and noise sensitivity, and severe brain fog. Even a one-minute walk could wipe her out for days.
Like so many people with M.E/CFS, she was doing everything carefully but still not getting better.
Today, things look very different. Raff is now: • Working again • Cycling and hiking • Skiing with friends • Slowly building a full, meaningful life — safely and consistently
She’s still on her recovery journey. But the progress she’s made is extraordinary.
This isn’t a miracle story.
It’s a realistic, honest example of what progress can look like when you stop the push-crash cycle and follow the right process.
If you’re feeling stuck, scared to do more, or worried that progress just isn’t happening for you — I really think this conversation will help

Please don’t believe this…
If you’ve ever heard things like:“Everyone gets tired.”“It’s all in your head.”“You just need to exercise more.”
My heart goes out to you - because comments like these can stay with you for years.
In this week’s episode, I break down the six biggest myths doctors still tell people with M.E/CFS… the same myths that leave so many feeling misunderstood, dismissed, and completely alone.
These comments aren’t harmless.
They shape the way you see yourself, and for a lot of people, they delay recovery by keeping them stuck in fear, shame, or self-doubt.
This episode will help you understand what’s actually true and what’s absolutely not, so you can move forward with more clarity and confidence.
When you’ve watched it, I’d love to hear from you:What’s something a doctor has said to you that wasn’t helpful?

Imagine your body just quits.
I remember watching Charlie’s journey. She was a high-performing mental health nurse, a mum, a wife — the kind of person who always gave 110%.
Then one day, her body just quit.
She couldn’t climb the stairs. She lost her job.Her husband had to help her get into bed.
She felt she’d lost everything that defined her.
Imagine that fear: Your mind is willing, but your physical body simply says NO.
No matter how hard you try to push, it only leads to more crashes, guilt, and fear.
Charlie realised she was stuck in that vicious cycle — doing her best but without a clear map for M.E./CFS recovery.
In this episode, she opens up about the four healing pillars that finally gave her direction, stability, and hope again.
Today, she’s thriving — coaching others and living a calm, full life she once thought she’d lost forever.
It’s one of the most inspiring transformations I’ve seen.

CFS Recovery Story You Need to Hear
There comes a point in every recovery story where the body just says enough.
For Ahil, that moment came suddenly - fainting spells, intense pain, nights without sleep.
One day, he woke up and realized he couldn’t keep living like this.
He wasn’t lazy. He wasn’t weak.He was completely burnt out - body, mind, and soul.
And that’s when everything started to change.
Five years later, the same man who once couldn’t stand for more than a few minutes now travels the world, hikes for hours, and coaches others through their recovery.
But what happened in between those two versions of him is the real story - the part that changed his life.

This got me out of M.E/CFS
Meet Lauren.
A few years ago, she was working 60-hour weeks - constantly on the go, trying to hold everything together.
She thought the fatigue was just stress… until one day, her body completely shut down.
She couldn’t make her bed.She couldn’t cook.Even a short trip to the store left her in pain for days.
Doctor after doctor gave her no answers.
That’s when Lauren realized something had to change but she had no idea how.
Fast forward to today… she’s sitting on a beach in Australia, hiking, travelling, and helping others do the same.
How did she go from corporate burnout to complete recovery from chronic fatigue?
That’s what this week’s CFS Health Recovery Podcast is all about.
Lauren opens up about the real turning points, the breakdowns, and the moments that changed everything.

M.E/CFS Recovery After 27 Years (Sue's Full Story)
If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s too late to recover, you need to hear Sue’s story.
She lived with ME/CFS for nearly 27 years.
There were days she couldn’t walk, couldn’t speak above a whisper, and had to be fed by her husband.
The fatigue was so heavy she once said it felt like “walking through deep mud with a wet blanket over my body.”
After decades of trying everything and getting nowhere, she found herself back at rock bottom—bedbound again, with no clear answers.
That’s when she discovered a new way forward.
A plan built on baseline, consistency over intensity, and letting go of the pressure to push.
The results changed everything. From 30-second walks to hiking mountains. From wheelchair to long-haul flights. From hopelessness to coaching others through recovery.
Today, Sue’s life looks nothing like it did for those 27 years because she stopped fighting her body and started rebuilding with it.
This one’s powerful. Especially if you’ve been stuck for a long time.

From Bedbound Teen to PhD — Steph’s CFS Recovery Story
When Steph was just 16, she went from playing two games of netball a day… to not being able to walk to the bathroom on her own.
Doctors told her it was “all in her head.”Friends drifted away. And hope started to fade.
But Steph refused to give up.
Week by week, little by little, she rebuilt her life.
From being bedbound and unable to feed herself… to running half-marathons, finishing her PhD, and now working as an exercise physiologist helping others recover.
It’s one of the most inspiring full-circle recoveries I’ve ever seen — and one that will remind you that no matter how bad things feel right now, there’s always a way forward.

CFS Recovery: The 3 things that saved my life
If you’ve ever felt like your life is on hold because of M.E./CFS, you need to read Lauren's story.
Just five years ago, she was facing the worst kind of storm: a 60-hour work week, burnout, and a pending divorce. She felt horrible and was struggling in bed every single day.
Lauren realized she had a choice: Keep the old life that got her sick, or choose herself fully right now.
The first step was one of the hardest and most courageous decisions she made: She chose to fully prioritize her health.
This meant leaving the high-stress job and leaving a relationship that wasn't serving her. It was gut-wrenching, but Lauren knew she had to put herself first to save her life.
Today, her life is unrecognizable. She's fully recovered, traveling internationally, and coaching others to do the same.
She credits this incredible change to just 3 key things—the simple, non-obvious rules she lived by.

CFS recovery in just 6 months?
Rob’s GP told him: “There’s nothing wrong with you.”
But he knew something was deeply wrong.
He’d wake up inflamed head-to-toe. His mind foggy, his muscles aching, his energy completely gone.
This was a man who used to run races and live life at full speed. Suddenly, he couldn’t even trust his own body.
The scariest part? His tests were “perfect.” His doctor dismissed him. He felt invisible.
Rob had a choice: keep sliding downhill — or find a new path forward.
Fast forward just six months… the inflammation was gone, his energy restored, and he was back racing and living life again.
If you’ve ever been told “there’s nothing wrong with you” while your body screams otherwise… this is a must-watch.

From “I’ll never recover” to hiking in the USA
Karissa was a mum of three, broken down by long covid.
She was so unwell she thought the only option left was to be placed in a coma.
She couldn’t be the mum she wanted to be — and the guilt and shame were crushing her.
That’s when she faced an impossible choice:
Keep pushing… and risk her health collapsing even further.
Or put herself first — even if it meant saying no to her own children.
Karissa chose courage. She chose recovery. And it changed everything. It’s one of the rawest and most inspiring conversations I’ve had.
