Join Make Conscious to celebrate the Year of the Water Rabbit through a meditation on six traditional spring couplets.
Tune into a moment of the Make Conscious Circle: Decolonizing Ancestral Landscapes. This episode offers a taste of the meditation on Genius Loci and Genius Gens - the connection between spirit of the land and spirit of the ancestors.  As we make our holiday plans and slow down, this is an invitation to explore the realms of consciousness that lie beneath the surface of our life and work.    An ancestral landscape holds within it family histories and stories of the land of our ancestors. Whether you come from Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, South America, Canada...the land of your ancestry intersects both with what remains and the legacy of erasure of culture, language, and history. As a graduate of a Western architecture school, it has been a 20 year journey to recognize the erasure of Chinese indigenous cultural narratives and building practices and regenerate a relationship to ancestral cultural traditions, paradigms, and cosmologies within my own psyche and creative process. In the process of reclaiming my own, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with and support the reclamation of cultures, ornament, and guides all over the world and become not just a designer but a steward-in-training of global ancestral architectures and landscapes. Though decolonization begins with your own consciousness and the inner landscape, we are not in this alone. Collective consciousness is collective solidarity. As you meet your ancestors, we meet them too. Investigating our collective Ancestral landscapes is a direct line to the reclamation of power and lost lineages, geometries, languages and transmissions for the benefit of the next seven generations.  Rebuild the matrix, regenerate the cosmos, and renew the earth. - Jessica Kung, Founder of Make Conscious

This is a deep dive follow up to the previous meditation, "What is the story of your body?" In this meditation we traverse the structures of consciousness that create your inter-relational and multi-dimensional body. Explore how a simple affirmation of what your body is can effloresce through time and space to generate a cosmic body. Your body is a portal to the cosmos.   Note: In the last minute of the meditation a 4 year old has a cameo. www.makeconscious.com
How do you experience your body? How do you connect to energy? Join Jessica Kung Dreyfus for a 40 minute introduction to your phenomenal body. Excerpt: "What is the story of your body? You have one. You have constructed a narrative around your body. As you look at the narrative, look at how it's not actually a part of your body. That's the most fascinating thing. It's like in your mind. We'll try that a couple times. Examine the narrative that you tell. Look at how that story isn't actually in your body. It's a mental construct."
How we relate to ourselves, our land, and each other can become prisms of light. In this meditation, we are integrating the rainbow light. (pictured here) Just as this rainbow is directed into the earth, we are bringing the rainbow light into our own selves and spheres of influence.  To join the Daily Muse live stream, visit www.makeconscious.com Level: Intermediate Note: There are some birds and wind in the background.
Phenomenal Mind

Phenomenal Mind

Reengage with phenomena through the ancient view of mind, consciousness, and perception. The Eastern view of elements are not static or solid, but constantly in a state of motion. Yin/Yang is not static, it is moving. Shift your mind from the tendency to grasp to objects, and awaken your organs of sense and perception to the flow of transformation.  Level: Intermediate, 40 min
“The blindness of the contemporary urban world to everything that is not itself, to nature, most of all…is a highly dangerous condition.” — Vincent Scully We can only see what our social and environmental structures of consciousness allow us to see. To open our horizons, look first at how we have been limited by 17th century notions of reality. How has a Cartesian world view, and x,y coordinate system limited our ability to experience the real? In this meditation we come up against the mind/body complex and encounter our underlying belief systems. Recognizing our limiting beliefs seeds the beginning of dismantling them. Level: Intermediate/Advanced, 40min Jessica Kung Dreyfus www.makeconscious.com
Learning to Map your mind/body begins with developing a sense of your perimeter, your center, and your ground. In this meditation we establish the foundational tools to consciously orient ourselves within our own embodied form.  Level: All Levels

Dive in.  Level: Advanced Beginner - Previous meditation experience recommended.
Conscious Detox

How are our mind and bodies intertwined with the food stuffs and substances that we consume? A conscious detox process works not just from the outside of stopping ourselves from eating unhealthy foods but gazing from the inside to bring awareness to see how we have come to rely on them. How have we come to "need" that sugar and caffeine high? Can you find where the pattern is in your body? In your mind? By bringing awareness to the previously unconsidered habits of consumption, we start to create a pathway for transformation and the introduction or a new energetic programming.  Level: All Levels visit make conscious for more details on the whole course!

Are you trying to call in resources? Work with sound, resonance, mantra and the Sanskrit alphabet to drop into the field of the subtle energy body. Harmonize the inner landscape and step into a field of light. Level: Intermediate/Advanced, previous experience with meditation recommended. Combines four types of meditation into a complete journey: stillness, analysis, mantra, and subtle body work.   Excerpt " Feel the softening of the physical body, like it's dissolving into subtle energy. As you release the stranglehold of constructs, you can start to feel the resonance of the energetic body. All of a sudden you're shifting to energy. That is a massive paradigm shift. As you travel from the material to the energetic, that is the crossing from listening to transformation. Sound facilitates that. As you drop into energy, transformation begins."
A journey through the biofield through sound, resonance, and mantra. Starting with the breath, we expand into subtle energy. Through the combination of sound and visualization we clear, transform and activate the biofield.  Level: Intermediate/Advanced meditators. Requires previous experience with meditation and the 10 levels of consciousness. visit www.makeconscious.com for more resources.

Streams upon Streams

Streams upon Streams

Today's Meditation travels to the edge of your stream of consciousness. Discover the water element in your body. Flow between breath, body, and mind.  "The inner quality of water is coherence. Coming together, knitting together to create moisture right when you see one molecule or one drop of water touch another they merge they cohere and this is what creates flow. Your body is predominantly made of this element. Allow the consciousness of water to permeate your attention. That water element has the power to soften rocks, to even bore holes through density. We have not harnessed that power inside of us. Part of harmonizing our own internal elements is using these elements for healing. So, as we bring the breath and the water into deep alliance you can direct their softening wisdom at the places of density in your body." Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate  Previous experience with breath awareness meditation and stillness meditation recommended but not required.  visit www.makeconscious.com for more resources.
Learn to navigate the structures of consciousness from your breath to your body to the edges of your home.
