🔥 Burnout is REAL, y'all! 🔥 In today’s "go, go, go" world, burnout is like that annoying friend who just shows up uninvited 😒. Whether you're a high-flying CEO, a supermom, or still trying to figure out how adulting even works—burnout doesn’t discriminate. So how can you spot it before it drags you down? 👀 It may be burnout if...... 1️⃣ You’re always tired. Like, “I just woke up, and I already need a nap” tired. 😴 2️⃣ Productivity? What's that? You’re staring at your to-do list like it’s written in a foreign language. 📋👉❓ 3️⃣ You’re snapping at everyone. Yes, even your sweet dog gets the side-eye. 🐕‍🦺😤 4️⃣ Self-care? Ain’t nobody got time for that! You can barely self-maintain. 5️⃣ Everything feels like a chore. Even things you used to LOVE now feel like, “Ugh, do I HAVE to?” 💔 Recognize yourself yet? 😬 If so, it’s time to hit the pause button and take care of YOU! 💆‍♀️✨ Let’s dive into this episode, because we’re about to get real on how burnout likes to sneak up on us or maybe, we are just so disconnected from ourselves that we don't even realize it until it lands in our lap 🎧👊
Let's talk about something REAL for a sec. Why are we always apologizing for being human? For having emotions? For showing them? We’ve been trained to think that showing emotions is a "weakness"—but newsflash: emotions are POWER.  They’re what make us real, raw, and unstoppable. So, in this episode, we’re getting bold and brave. No more hiding. No more apologizing for feeling. We’re owning it, because the truth is, vulnerability is strength. And if someone can't handle your emotions? That's their problem, not yours.   Ready to embrace your feelings and drop the guilt? Let’s dive in.
Mindset work does NOT work if you are disconnected from your body! Have you ever noticed when you are “doing the work” but nothing is changing? Maybe you know someone who has claimed to have “done the work”, but yet, they fall back into the same reactions, the same habits, the same old routine, time and again……Nothing changes until we learn to get back in our bodies and move the emotions, the energy, the trauma & all the shit  that is stuck in our bodies! Those whispers, those nudges, those sensations that we ignore thinking that if we just talk about it, we will be healed! When we are out of alignment and disconnected from our vessels(body) the waters are pretty f**king rocky. We’ve all been there. Hoping that we can “mindset” our way into releasing emotional wounds, stagnant energy and trauma that may not even be ours! Connecting back to YOULearning to self-regulateLearning to harness the power of making emotional suffering optionalIt’s empowering AF and one of the most efficient and accessible ways to start is by connecting back to your breath! When the body is in emotional & physical alignment,  the mindset is healing right alongside! It’s all one, in unity.Breath by breath…..

Today, we're diving into the powerful story of a young female athlete 🏐 who faced down the bullies in her own locker room. Alana Joy is a practicing psychotherapist and a former registered nurse with over 20 years experience working in healthcare. Listening to the guidance of her body, she left her government position and embraced entrepreneurship to fulfill her soul's purpose. Since childhood, Alana Joy experienced many unusual and poorly understood injuries and symptoms and she accumulated multiple diagnostic labels. Her experience of her body was often disbelieved and she learned to distrust it and become disconnected from it. In her 30’s, Alana Joy was diagnosed with a rare genetic degenerative condition of the connection tissue. Her diagnosis followed by her father’s death confronted her with her mortality and catalyzed her spiritual awakening. A disorder of connection- she HAD to reconnect. The layers of conditioned patterns, behaviours and identities collapsed and she reconnected with her core essence, uncovering her soul's purpose. In her work, Alana Joy brings together her knowledge and experience as a nurse, psychotherapist and her own awakening, weaving science and spirituality for deep physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Her mission is to guide others through the process of reconnecting with their heart, body and soul for a more purposeful and joyful life. www.alanajoynewton.com Instagram- @alana_joy_newton
Born in 2006 in Homs, Syria, Anas Mohamad’s first few years alive were as normal as any other child around the world. However, around 2010, his life would take a dramatic turn as the Syrian Civil War began to take form. Being present... what does it mean to you? Is it simply physically being there? That's what I used to think when I felt disconnected and out of touch with my body. However, once I learned to let go of the burdens and live in alignment with my true, authentic self, I finally understood what being present truly means. www.thehchc.com

Forget Taylor's tour sparking the eras trend. Twenty years ago, I lived in my IDGAF era. Rocked the leather jacket, mastered the icy stare – the whole "stone cold bitch" persona. Except it wasn't IDGAF, it was IDARA: "I Don't Actually Give A Rat's Ass" about my own pain. Turns out, that facade is about as healthy as a week-old burrito. Let me tell you why peeling back those layers is where the real magic happens. The HCHC
Today I sat down with Curtis Korchinski, friend, entrepreneur, husband to Jordan and father to 2 amazing kids. Curtis shares his story of "coming out of the closet" , addiction, family and his views on the woke agenda. Growing up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and being the middle child between 2 amazing sisters, Curtis Korchinski felt the pressure of being groomed to take over the family business, along with marrying a nice Catholic girl to raise our children.  By Grade 9, he feared that would not be an ideal plan for himself and struggled with the societal influences that were prominently displayed throughout his upbringing, in the media and within their family. Curtis left home at 17 to figure life out, and found his home in the hospitality industry at age 19. After a few years of battling the internal demons he had created for himself. He finally came out and cleaned up his addictive behaviour. In 2003  Curtis met the true love of his life, Jordan. They started seeing each other shortly after and were married in February 2005.  Being adopted, Curtis always wanted to pay it forward so Jordan and himself eventually became fathers to 2 sons, while owning & operating 2 restaurants. My Mom's family is very musical, so I started a band with a close friend of  his (Amanda Hagel) in 2004 and have been playing gigs ever since, and in a few other local bands as well. His other hobby is competitive bodybuilding which he's been involved in since 2011. His career has shifted from hospitality to commercial real estate and he truly enjoys the company he works with and the clients he represents.  Curtis and Jordan are very fortunate to be fathers to their sons, and are very thankful for their health, and an amazing group of friends and family. Energized at the MYM Conference Last weekend, I buzzed with energy at the MYM Conference hosted by Sarah Swain. It was an inspiring gathering of 400 people: entrepreneurs, doctors, investors, lawyers, energy workers, artists, and everyone in between. We delved into the importance of reconnecting with our bodies and pursuing business on our own terms. We also explored how fear is often a self-created story, and in most cases, simply untrue. Fear can hold anyone back. We've all succumbed to it at some point, letting it talk us out of our dreams. But that's changing! www.thehchc.com

The need for a change in coaching within junior sports has become increasingly evident, as aggressive coaching styles no longer yield positive results. Such approaches, often characterized by intense pressure and a win-at-all-costs mentality, can lead to burnout, diminished self-esteem, and a negative overall experience for young athletes. Instead, there is a growing recognition that coaching should focus on nurturing a supportive and encouraging environment. This shift prioritizes personal development, enjoyment of the sport, and the cultivation of essential life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and respect. By adopting more empathetic and constructive coaching methods, we can ensure that junior sports programs not only produce skilled athletes but also foster well-rounded individuals who are prepared for future challenges both on and off the field, ice or court!
