Connecting with our inner world involves – connecting with all the gifts and capabilities humans have been given – our bodies, our minds, our hearts and our energy source. We need to learn how to tune into our body, relax our mind, strengthen our heart and connect with our energy source. This meditation practice, called Vipassna, was developed by Gautam Buddha, 2500 years back in India. Essentially you watch your breath and the pauses in between the inhalation and exhalation. Through this practice – you can EXPERIENCE your breath (not in your control) right now, come into the present moment, still your mind AND notice what happens at the pauses. If you are curious enough and try it – this very simple practice can give you a taste of relaxation and that which is beyond the breath itself – the deathless, the eternal in you. HERE & NOW…no belief, no disbelief…invitation is to EXPERIENCE for yourself. You are invited to do this short guided meditation.
1. Niv Sharma's work with teens and young adults, in general, has revealed an openness and receptivity to knowing who they are beyond their minds. There is a genuine curiosity. 2. There is an URGENT need for resources to support, grow and develop them through different touch points – at schools, universities, at home, in communities and at work through accessible avenues for mental & emotional support, relaxation and self care, art & creativity, meditation & mindfulness – time is ripe as there is a receptivity especially now as their inner & outer worlds are turned upside down. 3. There is LOTS more to discuss and share on this topic. Please note that IN-OUTAbundance will be hosting workshops customized to these topics and more in the near future. Please LIKE and FOLLOW the platform facebook page to stay connected and updated on upcoming opportunities. https://www.facebook.com/IOAbundance (@IOAbundance on Facebook) 4. Additional resources that have been personally vetted by IN-OUTAbundance, have been provided for parents and teens / young adults to consider. Outer Sciences (West has led in general) and Inner Sciences (East has led in general) are BOTH equally important. The former uses an outward going, analytical approach; while the latter uses an inward going, experiential approach. They are not in conflict but are both needed and work synergistically to create outer and inner abundance for humans and their environment.
1. Organizations need to strategically confront HOW the world is changing – accelerating automation, human leadership development, inclusivity momentum, remote working etc. – and real implications for how they will win going forward 2. How will these organizations be attractive to new generation of employees, who are more socially conscious, want to bring their unique selves and values to work, and are also working remotely spread throughout the day 3. Consider strategic implications of NOT developing human potential more fully in the changing world we face– toxicity in organizations, turn-over, employee morale, negative effects on brand and overall performance. Not to mention social responsibility aspects. Strategic Organizations, Innovation focused Corporations and Firms need to actively look at this opportunity. There are many aspects and implications that warrant deep dive and further discussion. IN-OUTAbundance has developed a practical framework for Start-ups, Corporations and Organizations to unleash this untapped potential. You can contact ioabundance@gmail.com for more information.
1. Current innovation practices in most organizations are constrained by mind / thinking orientation; and do not tap into other human capabilities 2. The current approach is not sustainable for the changing world – accelerating automation (robots, AI, machine learning), brings up a VITAL question – what unique value will humans bring vs. machines? 3. Employee vitality, creativity and ingenuity can be blocked by unprocessed emotions, huge source of breakthrough innovation needed to solve the many pressing problems. 4. Leadership development of employees is another CRITICAL area with increased emphasis on inclusivity, presence, and being able to make agile decisions with limited precedence. Humans have tremendous untapped potential to bring breakthrough value to organizations, to their communities and to the world. Automation & technology are necessary tools and humans need to be resourced to drive their direction & development, vs. becoming slaves to them.
1. Repressed, unprocessed emotions and traumas experienced especially during early - teenage years can have devastating effects on living our lives fully. 2. More often than not, shame, cultural conditioning, fear of judgments etc. block us from seeking help. We need to bring light and compassion to these issues so that shame and can be replaced with real healing and empowerment. 3. Human beings FEEL – we need to honor this and accept this. Feelings bring intensity and vitality to our lives. Blocking difficult emotions (e.g. anger) can block us from experiencing deep love and compassion. 4. Important to learn how to process our emotions in a healthy way - no emotion is bad - it exists for a reason. 5. The master key to growing and healing is LOVING & ACCEPTING YOURSELF as you are, vs. fighting with parts of yourself. This helps to free up the blocked energy, for focus on constructive growth. We need to learn how to relax our minds, strengthen our hearts and connect with our energy source! These are our multi-dimensional capabilities to maximize our full potential.

Globally, we are seeing the current challenges take a devastating toll on our collective mental and emotional well-being amidst the external chaos. It has become evident that we, humans are not resourced adequately to take care of our inner well-being. We have thus far focused on creating comfort & abundance in the outer world, but struggled with creating joy and centeredness inside. This needs to change and we URGENTLY need to develop the full human potential to bring abundance both in our inner and outer worlds.
