This is the second instalment of The Lie Of Communism.Chapter 2 picks up from where we left off in Chapter 1, The Aftermath of the Bloody Sunday Massacre. Russia was forever changed. The people’s faith and trust in The Tsar had been shattered. Meanwhile, Lenin and the Bolsheviks were gaining more and more support by the day, as The Tsar was doubling down on his control over the people. Revolution was in the air!However, internal tensions were brewing within the Bolshevik Party. Lenin went on the offensive, calling for mass terror and continent-wide conflict. Turning the failure of the 1905 Revolution into an advantage, he used it in his crusade against Tsar Nicholas. In the Wake of the BSM, the Tsar was forced to issue a series of reforms known as the October Manifesto. The Manifesto promised change to his people who were desperate for their Tsar to acknowledge their pleas for fairness and change.Russia was plunged back into chaos as the Tsar tightened his grip on power, refusing to accept the Manifesto controlling the parliament through the Duma. Lenin returned to St. Petersburg, seeing his opportunity to strike at the Tsar. He spread his message through another newspaper, Vperyod (forward), which brought new members and increased revenue to the Bolshevik Party. The party was growing rapidly, and more funding was needed despite Lenin’s views on capitalism.A young Joesph Stalin proved himself to the party, coming up with a plan to acquire more funding with Lenin’s blessing in a less than legal way. But Lenin’s decision to sanction crime divided the Bolsheviks and ultimately forced Lenin into exile once more. At the same time, the death of his mother sent him into a cycle of depression. Lenin’s world had collapsed and his future within the party and his dream of a proletariat revolution were in doubt. That was until his guardian angel, Inessa Armand, rescued him from despair, pulling him up from the dark abyss and back into the light. Armand was responsible for Lenin’s resurrection and the reshaping of the man that would one day lead the revolution. For decades, the Soviets covered up her role and importance in his story, but it was through her that Lenin 2.0 was born. From this point, he fundamentally changed his interruption of Marxism, redefining his philosophy. Chapter 1 will transport us back to the early 1900s during a very dark and turbulent time in Russia, when the old Imperial Government ignored and pushed around the very people it was meant to serve.Revolution was in the air. The roads of destiny were about to converge. An angry and disillusioned young man by the name of Vladimir Lenin finds himself at a crossroads, after a series of personal tragedies that begin to shape his future and push him towards what would ultimately turn out to be his destiny. Lenin starts a crusade against Czar Nicholas II and the Czarist Government; From humble beginnings participating in low level demonstrations against the government, to being a political theorist in the RSDLP (Russian Social Democratic Labour Party), to running a leftist newspaper "Iskra", and then eventually forming the Bolshevik Party after splitting with his old Comrade Julius Martov during the 1903 Second Party RSDLP Conference. The seeds of revolution had been sown, however there was one major event in 1905 putting events in motion that could not be undone. This is episode 74 of The Truth TankIn this episode, We will be looking at the 2025 Academy Awards or as I like to call it “Ding Dong Oscars Dead.” A new year brings another awards season, and the Oscars remain the most out of touch, over the top and pretentious event on the calendar. This year is no different: there was plenty of glitz and glamour on the red carpet, along with some very awkward interviews before the ceremony. Conan O’Brien took over hosting duties this year, bringing some much needed non-political humour as well as campaigning for the cinema experience. Unfortunately, that’s where hope dies. This is episode 71 of The Truth Tank.On September 26th, 2022, several underwater explosions were detected on the Nord Stream NS1 and NS2 pipelines, resulting in multiple gas leaks in 3 out of the 4 pipelines. The Nord Stream pipeline is located in international waters in the Baltic Sea and transports natural gas from Russia to Germany, with the majority of the infrastructure being Russian Owned. In the episode, we take a deep and detailed dive into the pipeline’s destruction and the investigations that followed. what is Nord Stream? What happened? Who are the suspects? And Why was it targeted? We’ll explore four different perspectives on the incident from four countries that were either affected by the pipeline’s destruction or are suspected of having some involvement in it. The pipeline’s destruction released approximately 800 million cubic meters of methane gas into the atmosphere. What are the potential environmental impacts of such a massive release? Who stands to gain from the pipeline being taken out of commission? What does it mean for energy supplies across Europe?
