In this more gentle episode, we touch upon that you don't have to like people to love them; you don't have to like all of who you are to love yourself. Loving "only if" is conditional love and is not real love but control disguised as love. We talk about how to be a loving person to ourselves to parent ourselves lovingly and to stop hurting ourselves with old patterns and habits.

The Big Book describes resentment as the number 1 killer of alcoholics. This episode is not for the faint-hearted: we dig deep into resentment to understand its power, why it's dangerous to our recovery and how fear is the underlying source. We explore the emotional dead-end that we get to when we look for 'why' we're resentful. Taking an alternative approach takes courage and honesty, but one that brings us closer to truth and a deeper understanding of who we are. It brings us to a cross-roads of choice rather than an emotional dead-end.

In this episode we have a lively debate about bottom lines and the inner, middle and outer circles (3 circles) - which is often used when we need to define what abstinence means for us. We discuss bottom lines in Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA). We share some different mental models on how to define bottom lines, where the boundary between middle and inner circle lies, and the importance of understanding your intent and your own boundaries in expressing healthy sexuality. We wrap up with the outer circle - is it a hedonistic bucket list or a things that are good for us?
