Linking theory to everyday practice, this podcast is a deep dive into the arguments for and against a whole food plant-based diet, food quality, gut health and how to take practical, everyday steps to have a diverse, unprocessed food intake.
Dr. Guy Lin MD FASC shares his real-life tips and tools for food preparation, frying versus sauteeing, seasonal eating, having a wide range of food sources, getting enough protein on a plant-based diet, how to avoid foods which seem healthy, how to reduced processed food, removing seed oils from your diet, whether sourcing food internationally is useful, and much more.
You will hear about studies and clinical stories about reversing chronic disease, ear nose and throat ailments, stomach issues, Crohn’s disease, exercise, and the gut microbiome, all in the service of, to quote Dr. Lin’s profile on ENT and Allergy’s website, “reduce the burden of antibiotics, reflux medications and other anti-inflammatory medications that provide a temporary fix to a problem.”
Dr Lin received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He did a a General Surgery internship and an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery surgical residency at University of Pennsylvania, and thereafter completed a clinical fellowship in facial plastics and reconstructive surgery at Mount Sinai neck surgery residency in New York.
