Description

PIO Todd Harmeson sits down with three staff members from the Madison County Health Department. Joining Todd are Stephanie Grimes, Sharon Breckenridge, and Joe Davis. Each staff member represents a different focus area in the Health Department. The group discusses how to handle the difficulties of keeping from getting sick during or after long power outages by knowing what is safe to consume and what it not, how diseases spread so easily when simple necessities like running water and soap aren’t available, and how POD’s (Points of Distribution) work. They even talk about previous experiences in Madison County when the H1N1 pandemic struck and how we as emergency services responded. Oh, and please wash your hands.
