Tim Macmillan is originally from England, and now living in La Honda, California, USA. He holds the rank of 5-dan in Kyudo, and is the Vice President of the Redwood Kyudojo.
In this wide-ranging conversation, we talk about starting Kyudo in the UK then moving to Japan on a whim. Tim takes us on a bit of a behind the scenes look at the training of Yabusame and Ogasawara Ryu, and how to overcome a near debilitating medical condition to regain a high level in budo.
