between Ezra and The Most High (through His Angel Uriel) Ezra is getting an ear full of answers to his questions about the chastising of Yisrael, what will become of the people on earth when they die, what the children of Yisrael mean
to The Most High and how He values them above all other humans/mankind upon the earth (they are considered spit in a bucket, and puffs of fire and smoke). Ezra is both amazed and horrified at the answers, but before he can even hear from The Most High, Ezra has to lament, meditate, fast, and continue to pray to get these answers, so we are learning a lot of what it takes to hear from The Most High, and what The Most High says about the world and its inhabitants, as well as how the scriptures are for a set apart people.
