We are reading 4 Ezra, and this book is full of prophesy for end times…Since we have already acquainted ourselves with 2 of Ezra’s previous writings, (Ezra [1] and Nehemiah) we understand that this is the time when The Children of Yisrael were in serious insubordination and after The Most High’s warnings, He allowed the heathen nations to come and conquer the children of Yisrael, by killing some, and putting many in slavery, and leaving many of the poor and destitute behind, and this is when the children started to “cry”
about their situation when they refused to listen from the beginning.  This has become the “theme” of the children,
to continue to follow heathens, and be like them, knowing that they are perpetually hated by the entire world.  With this
being known, Ezra gets desperate enough to “question” The Most High as to why things are the way they are and what will become of the children now that they have been conquered.  The Most High takes Ezra and gives him a glimpse into the future and how everything will turn out, after a chastising and then some encouragement.  The Most High assures Ezra that things have to play themselves out, but in the interim, he must encourage his brethren that all is not lost, life will go on and to turn from their wicked ways and follow the will and Word of The Most High.
