Description
On today’s podcast I am interviewing one of the most important neuroscientists in the world who is researching and supporting the addiction crisis. Dr. Anna Lembke, the best-selling author of Drugdealer, MD and most recently Dopamine Nation. She is on a mission to change the way we understand addiction and the neuroscience behind addictive habits. Dr Anna is the medical director of Addiction Medicine at Stanford University and Chief of Stanford’s Addiction Medicine Dual Diagnosis Clinic. You may have watched her in the Netflix documentary, The Social Dilemma, where she talks about our addiction to social media. You may have read her books or you may have listened to one of the many interviews she has given.
In today’s episode, we are going to be mainly diving in to Dr Anna’s latest book, Dopamine Nation and speaking more generally about the addictions that are so present in society and often go very much unnoticed. Those such as sugar addiction and of course tech addiction which many of us are extremely guilty of!
