I am soo excited to have come across this podcast and teaching. I have wrestled with the specific question of how Eve was supposed to recognize evil, if she had no knowledge of evil, presumably only endowed by eating the tree. That question has bothered me for years and none of my leaders nor myself, have ever had good answers for it. My curiosity has earned responses on the gamut from “Well, she knew God and should have known to follow His direction” to “That information is non-essential doctrine, so it’s not worth answering” to my OWN answer, “I should examine why I want to know this. Is it from a sense of my own entitlement, or pride?” But it should mean something to wonder about it. In addition, I enjoy patiently walking with non believers, particularly those educated in Bible, through difficult problems like these, and it’s tough when the pose challenges to answer more than just “I don’t know, we just believe that” One such question my befriend brought up is that the snake is not
