I remember the day when my first article got published in a reputed journal. I was on cloud nine. It was really a long journey for me. I had to face many rejections before my first publication. During my MBBS, for many aspects, I wanted to be guided in a better way and publication was one aspect of it. After doing ICMR STS for two consecutive years, I felt that something was missing. It was the desire to get my first article published before starting off my residency. Never the less, I did publish my article and now I know the struggle is quite real. Have you ever published your first article? If no, then this episode is for you.
In this episode, I again had the opportunity to talk with Dr Shobhit Piplani (Research Scholar). We discussed about the current scenarios in the Indian Medical Research wrt to Publications. He has also guided us with the process of article submission & briefly about the manuscript writing. We also conversed about the reasons behind the poor state of Indian Medical Research and How to overcome it. Here is the first part of our conversation and Stay tuned for the second part !
