New Children
First, a warm welcome to Valdemar, who has joined Group 1. We’re so happy to have you with us!
We’re also delighted to welcome Christiane, who has joined us as a temporary assistant from September 18th through December 31st. You may have already met her, as she started out in Blåbærhuset with Group 1.
This week, we also have Anna with us for her school internship.
And an important note: Lilli will be having hip surgery on October 28th and will be on sick leave for an extended period. Parents of children in Group 3 should contact Elizabeth for any primary concerns about their child. Of course, the rest of us are also here to help.
We had a fantastic staff day – completely child-free – and it was only possible thanks to your great support. A big thank you to all of you!
The day was filled with practical exercises, inspiring presentations, and meaningful discussions. We’re confident the children will benefit from this in the long run.
We explored how outdoor activities can enhance children’s well-being, development, and learning. We also had an inspiring session with NaturMette about the potential of nature, plus a talk from VIA University College on movement, learning, and nature. Finally, Morten Kirckhoff gave us a thought-provoking presentation on discovering new experiences and finding courage in everyday life.
It’s almost time for this year’s parent meeting. It will take place on October 29th from 7:00 to 9:30 PM at Sejs School in the south wing – entrance by the parking lot on Tyttebærvej.
Please respond as soon as possible via the link on Aula so we can prepare the agenda based on your input.
This year, we’ll be evaluating the connection between parental involvement in events and children’s inclusion in the community. That’s why we’re asking you to complete a short questionnaire included with the invitation. If you prefer not to answer online, you can pick up a paper version at Tyttebærhuset.
A nationwide user satisfaction survey is currently being conducted for all municipal daycare services. It’s organized by Statistics Denmark on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior and Health and Local Government Denmark.
The goal is to gather your feedback to help improve quality. The questions cover topics like educational efforts, physical facilities, well-being, and cooperation between parents and staff.
We hope you’ll take the eight minutes it requires to respond. You’ll find the invitation in your Digital Post, and the survey runs from October 1st until January 2026. Thank you in advance for your participation!
Our art project is still in full swing, with all children and staff working on it at different times. Group 1 will soon create a collaborative artwork using light, so they’ll need to bring something that lights up – for example, a lightsaber, a bike light, or a small string of lights.
This year, we’ll host the art exhibition here at Tyttebærhuset, as the Citizens’ Association couldn’t secure a venue in November. Invitations will follow, but we expect the opening for parents to be on Thursday, November 20th, and an open house on Friday, November 21st. The children will help plan and host the event – and who knows, they might even offer a little refreshment at the opening!
In addition, schoolchildren will visit on October 23rd, and the music sessions with Fabulatoriet continue every Tuesday.
Before we wrap up, here’s a quick overview of what to keep in mind. The parent meeting is on October 29th, and Lilli will go on sick leave after her hip surgery on October 28th. The art exhibition will take place on November 20th and 21st, and Lucia will be celebrated on December 12th at 8:00 AM in Sejs Church. And don’t forget to complete the user satisfaction survey before Christmas.
