*TW*On April 6, 2018, Ryan's life completely changed when the bus he was on -along with his junior hockey team, the Humboldt Broncos- was struck by a semi-trailer. As a result of the accident, Ryan developed a life altering spinal cord injury. While we do talk about the day of the accident, (and the inevitable highs + lows that have followed), we also talk about healing; what that has looked like for Ryan, the new goals he continues to set for himself, the foundation he has started, and his favourite quote that he always returns back to. The mental fortitude Ryan has is something that has continued to stay with me since the interview. I feel grateful that he chose to share his story with all of us!
