This is message 31 in The Power of God's Name
1 Peter 4:12-19
Suffering for the name of Christ is not strange but expected, for the world that rejected Him will also reproach those who belong to HIm. Such trials are part of God's refining work, proving faith and bringing Glory to His name. Believers are called to rejoice in sharing Christ's sufferings, to avoid shame by living holy lives, and to endure reproach with confidence that God's Spirit rests on them. Judgement begins with God's people as he purifies His church, preparing them to stand faithfully so that His name is glorified even in the midst of fiery trials.
