In addition to the almost 40 stories Simone & Ariane collected in anticipation of the 40th year Anniversary of EWMD in Madrid, Simone had the unique opportunity to interview two of the founding mothers of EWMD. Together with Val Hammond and Elisabeth Michel, Simone explores the beginnings of EWMD, the reasons behind the initial idea to found a network dedicated to women in management, their highlights of 40 years EWMD and lastly, their wish for the future. Both agree, that the unity, diversity and the strong voice that comes with this is the core value of EWMD. While both share many highlights of their EWMD journeys, their message for the future is clear: While we made a lot of progress, there is still lots to be done. EWMD and its members should continue to fight for the bigger picture of female empowerment and not lose sight of what is yet to be accomplished while celebrating everything we achieved so far.
