I was told by a friend that I needed to grieve the old version of me and the version of me I was in my marriage and relationship… this was a perspective I hadn’t really thought of before, I had grieved the marriage and relationships but I Never took the time to grieve the old version of me - so this came through in this random release and I wanted to share my takeaways because I know these realizations may help some of you <3


After doing yoga the other night my body just started to take me through this release… it was the craziest thing and a true testament to the power of working with your body, doing somatic healing and breath work and understanding the power of this work, because eventually your body will just start to process and feel safe enough to move through these big emotions whenever you provide the space to do so.


I began processing and moving through grief- an emotion I used to think could only be felt when you lost someone through death, but now that I understand you may also feel in grieving relationships, friendships or even past versions of you. As you grow and become someone new and  have to let things go, this can bring up the feeling of deep grievance, and it is important to let your body feel that.
